Who cares if Ted isn't origional? He's the best genderbend in my oppinion. Hatsune Miuko and Akita Nero are just the girls without pigtails whereas Ted has a real design like Kaiko does. To me, Ted and Kaiko are origional unlike the other genderbends who look like their origionals..

oh this is nice. And I agree with Ted not being exactly "Original." He has character, and a design. But his voice comes from Teto's voicebank since its only a few octaves down. And because he only comes from Teto's bank that makes him a genderbend. Like Hatsune Mikuo.

A Vocaloid is made by a company like Yamaha, an UTAU is fan made, usally by recording ones own voice in a recording soft ware like Audacity then translating them into frq files for use in the UTAU program. Dose that answer your question Croobie?

Anyone can correct me, but to the best of my knowledge it is one of the terms for fan made Vocaloids. They use the same software such as Hatsune Miku, etc. but sometimes use a certain range to differentiate them from the original Vocaloids.

Nope. They use a seimelar program called UTAU, but it's not fan made vocaloids, because fan made vocaloids either don't have a voice ot their voices are just the voices of other vocaloids with the pitch or something else changed

yeah because learning Japanese is so easy ^^; and sure they are made to sing in japanese but that doesnt mean they cant sing other languages (Ive seen Japanse Vocaloids *not talking about the english ones here* sing in english *sort of*, italian and even spanish) its just a matter of how you use the program to the fullest. And like Ive said before I already figured out how to do the basic things with the UTAU program (made Dehuo sing Last Regrets). Plus with UTAU you can make ur own voice bank.

I meant like learn the Japanese for "copy and paste", "insert note here", etc. The point is they aren't meant for English. They never sound GOOD in English, have you noticed? Spanish is more reasonable since that language is a lot closer to Japanese, with the same sounds and all.
