I wish I could have watched this video before I bought the Sigma brushes, because like you said, they do shed. Granted, it's not a huge problem, but it really irritates me that the gurus convinced me and basically left out that detail. So annoying. I might invest in the bunny collection if it doesn't shed, being all synthetic.

I literally just got the Mrs. Bunny Essential kit from Sigma and since they're all synthetic, I wonder if they will shed like crazy (such as the powder brush). I still need to try it, but school just started and all my makeup is at home. Noooooo :(

Hey guys, if you're on an even stricter budget than this (like I am ha), some really nice brushes that are drugstore (ish) and cheap, are eco tools which you can get at walgreens, target, ulta, basically everywhere. Also, I buy a lot of brushes from coastal scents (an online company). It's kind of hit or miss with them, but their higher priced kabuki brushes and their synthetic brushes are super nice!!

@kikachatterjee I have the elf brushes as well, and they are horrible for foundation. But if you use your fingers to dot on the foundation, then blend it in with the stippling brush, it works really well. But the powder brush and studio kabuki are soooooooo soft though!!!! Hope I helped. 

grrr i'm just starting out so i have elf brushes and they actually infuriate me. i put liquid foundation on just the ends of brush and in one use, it's all absorbed up to the top. i cannot stand it. i do think the powder/complexion brushes are incredibly soft though!

Spending $40.00 on a brush is insane, but because I live in Canada, in order for me to get a $16.00 brush from Sigma, I have to get shipping and the Sigma shipping prices are outrageous! I like to get a tracking # just incase my package gets lost, but Sigma has two different options for shipping. Without a tracking # and could take up to 8 weeks is like $4.95 but with a tracking # and quicker delivery is like $29.00! That just brought a $16.00 make up brush up to $45.00.

E.L.F. Studio brushes (for example flat top powder brush and kabuki brush) are the softest brushes I've ever had, not scratchy at all. I like them much more than my Sigma brushes which shed and bleed like there's no tomorrow. EcoTools brushes are amazing too. Not all cheap brushes are scratchy or crappy. I have few MAC brushes too, but I don't even use them, because I love my cheap ass brushes much more. ;)

The short shader and the pencil brush from sigma which I have don't shed but bristles come out half way and then stay there. So there is just a random bristle sticking out past all the rest and I can't do anything about it.

To Rachel, or anyone - I've never used a brush to apply foundation (I just use my fingers). If you use a brush to apply foundation, that means you have to wash it every time after, yes? No? Just rinse? Does it dry in time for later that night? What do you do with the foundation covered brush?
