  • shunning: To avoid deliberately; keep away from. <-from dictionary

Look at the JWs here who LIE and say they don't shun!

In fact, all JWs are REQUIRED to shun all ex-JWs who the elders have DF'd or DA'd. Many DF and DA haven't sinned, they just don't believe in some JW teachings anymore (NOT a sin!).

The 4/12 WT says it is "...God’s command not to associate with your disfellowshipped relatives."

Yes, the elder in the video is a liar, as are ALL JWs who say they don't shun former members.

  • sounds right only the true religion will keep its organization clean with no hypocritics

  • If a person is a Witness and commits an immoral act, HE is the one committing it. Lying, stealing, immorality, gambling, extorting money, sex outside marriage, ALL THESE ARE SERIOUS SINS.

If the person is UNREPENTANT, then the Congregation has no choice at all.

But what if a Brother slips in a lesser, but still serious way. Then the INDIVIDUAL and not the Congregation, decides whether to shun that person FOR A WHILE.

The Brother in the video makes this very clear and I agree with him.

  • Listen carefully to what the Brother says, and he says that "shunning" is something WITHIN the Congregation.

Shunning is not about inactive Witnesses, in fact, and this is kinda odd, the WT article wasn't even about Apostates either.

And it clearly said a person "shunned" WAS STILL TO BE CONSIDERED A BROTHER.

So 'i's gotten all twisted to mean something EXACTLY the opposite.

Say a Brother looses his cool and lets out a swear word. THAT is where shunning comes in, and not permanent.

  • What was so arrogant about what he said?

I don't get him being arrogant at all. He speaks softly, in a very considerate manner. He certainly is not lying - unless you don't like what he says is lying ?

The myth is that somebody who becomes an inactive Witness is shunned.

Not true, because I wasn't when I was inactive for a few years.

Shunning has NOTHING to do with Ex Witnesses. Read WT 1999 that started it all, it's about a Brother WHO *IS* A WITNESS AND DID SOMETHING INAPPROPRIATE.

  • religion what a sad joke

  • @fourlokoJoker Yes indeed. Its all a matter of interpretation and just what and who is being protected and why. And "truth" is NOT ripping apart families, is NOT child abuse and cover ups- protecting the abusers, 3 witnessess to validate a childs account. Crazy transparent self serving rules, designed to protect the dogmatic grown up -in age only male dominated organisation. But its biblical right ?so its ok. Didnt the bible say suffer little children. Well thats cert happening.

  • They are Pharisee descendents with their snake like tongs, twisting the truth. Do they actually take time to really sit back and ponder on what they learn and what they say? or is it forbidden?

  • This is kind of a non-issue-removing a person from fellowship is a biblical standard-repentance brings them back into fellowship. The issue with JW's is that they will disfellowship a person just for questioning a doctrine or an elder, which are NOT sins. Rather, it is quite biblical to question, if there is concern of possible error, which the JW's are rife with. Error is what they are all about. But there are bigger fish to fry than this subject.

  • JW=Chrstadelphians

  • ELDER= SATAN ACCUSERS OF THE BROTHERS,SECRET POLICE OF THE ILLUMINADI..UNDER CORPORATION OF THE UNITED STATES. U.K. LAW CODE AND BANK LAW.. DEBT=SIN.SLAVERY UNDER LAW. BABEL=DOUBLE MEANING, AMBIGUITY,ONE LAW AND IT'S MEANINGS AND JURISDICTION FOR SLAVES AND ONE LAW AND DIFFERENT LAWFUL MEANING FOR SO-CALLED FREE PEOPLE. 8TH NEW ORDER[NIMROD'S BABYLON 1ST].UNDER HEROD'S PHARISEES-[ILLUMINADI ]. ANGLO-AMERICAN 7TH WORLD POWER.PARTNERS WITH ROME.6TH WORLD POWER.JESUS FREED US FROM THESE LIARS

  • I am trying to educate people. They claim we are so wrong.I have PROOF JW's are RIGHT.They really do follow the bible, and study alot. We are truly following Jesus Christ Our Dear Lord! Proverbs 4:14,15-Into the path of the wicked ones do not enter, and do not walk straight on into the way of the bad ones.Shun it, do not pass along by it;turn aside from it, and pass along.Isaiah 33:15;2 Timothy 2:16-Shun empty speeches.2 Timothy 4:4-turned aside.2 Corinthians 8:20;6:3.Romans 14:13

  • @eternityandforever JWs know the Bible? LOL JWs have their place in hell reserved and are satan's chariot.

    John 3:16 KJV

    John 14:6 KJV

  • JW's follow the bible VERY CLOSELY.God removes those who are wicked. He removed Adam from the garden of Eden AFTER he sinned. This ALONE gives PROOF that God rejects sinners by removing/shunning them!READ Genesis 3:24.Then read Deuternonomy 17:7-clear out what is bad.Deut.13:5-clear out what is evil.Romans 16:17-avoid them.2Thessalonians 3:14-If anyone is not obedient to our word through this letter, keep this one marked, stop associating with him.2 John10,11-a sharer in wicked works

  • This religion is shit, but no more than all the others. My dad (who's a JW) said something along the lines of "There are people out there who deserve a shovel and bullet in their brains." yesterday. Jehovah's loving people my ass. All I see are easily deceived, fault-ridden humans.

  • @eternityandforever Oh come on!.. reading from a script? keep doing that and after a while there is no going anywhere at all as all navigational and thinking skills are so impared from lack of use. So you stay where you are told. And thats why its called a cult.

  • @jessie68ful It was brought out at the last assembly that quote, unquote..Jehovah wants disfellowshipped ones back!! Does that sound like shunning to you??? Jehovah loves us all..even disfellowshipped persons and he doesn't wish for any of us to lose out on the opportunity of losing out on eternal life on the paradise earth to come.

  • funny,,, my dad was disfellowshipped in 1975... i went back to those ppl like a dog going back to its vomit.... the first thing they did was tell me that unless it was important, that i should CUT OFF TIES UNLESS ITS NECESSARY to see him. so this man like the WT is from his father the devil, the father of the lie....

  • The Creator is the way.

  • I hate everything the JW's stand for, they stole my childhood and then disfellowshipped me at the age of 16 - cast out of all that I had ever known, even cast out of my family home. They are a disgusting, evil sect

  • Jesus taught his followers to go from house to house. He wants more people to become disciples. Jehovah's Witness are following Jesus our Lord. Read Acts 5:42, "...from house to house they continued ..declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus." Acts14:21,"...making quite a few disciples,..." Acts 20:20-"...teaching you publicly and from house to house." Jesus commands his disciples to make more disciples. READ Matthew 28:19,20-"Go therefore and make disciples of people..."

  • Liebookblues, oops!! I mean Truthbookblues is a bitter lier just like his father the devil. Satan was a rebel and so is he. All apostates speak lies and speak according to their own disposition, because they are lier's and follow the father of the lie Satan the Devil. This brother in the video did not lie as clearly seen. Just as Satan slandered God so do apostates slander God's representatives as Truthbookblues has done.

  • Keep up the good work. That foul JW cult deserves all the negative publicity it gets. Let us hope that odious little JW CHurch (yes, I know they imagine they are not a religion, not a CHurch and not a part of CHristendom - everything they write and say is rubbish) soon fades away. JWdom was the worst aspect of my childhood by far.

  • typical elder ....what a liar. what happened to "were gods people" "we are better than everyone else" haha guess not huh.Your religion makes you lie...WOW.This you silly jws is your flock leader...lying under oath. What happened to pronouncing ur faith in front of everyone? The jws who went to concentration camps didnt lie.i guess you jws today are wimps.

  • They dee-effed me in the late 80's. Never had the comittee meeting, I refused to meet with them so the sent a registered letter to my parents house. I found out several years later at my grandmothers "memorial". All these years later and I am in a different city I kind of have this fantasy of going to local meeetings with a fake name and background story, stoned out of my mind for a while. Knocking on doors would suck, but if I had some good acid it could be a blast.

  • @deestinger1 if you picked up a bible and looked it says that .

  • you have to remember Jesus words, that there was going to be wolfs trying to gather with the sheep, but he said,Remove them from you.theres one,and theres many.u never know when Satan will attack,n he is the most intrested in talking bad about the truth,he has a short period of time.this guy n others dont boder me,I know God does it let them get away with it.

  • i been a jw for 8 years and never heard of that.I'll ask..

  • good job with the end there, it's ok to associate with DF'd family members a "little" if it's about business, but that is all.

  • @vincenz55 I like how when the JW's prophecy fails the excuse is, "the light was getting brighter", but when it's anyone outside the JWs they are a false prophet. I like how at the 2010 convention the overseer said you cannot trust man at ALL, but then goes on to say to trust the organization, which is controlled.. by man. I like how the society warns not to read any outside publications saying "to the making of books there is no end" yet they release a new book every convention.

  • This cult was founded on lies. Russelites. CT Russel was a demon from the start. Talk about unrepentant wrongdoers. For your rejection of Christ, you all will burn in hell. You may as well be a drug addict atheist.

  • @DeeStinger1 isint that what all religions say?so whats wrong with him saying that?catholics say it,mormons say it,evangelicals say it.why the hate just on witnesses?

  • @stupidvid I don't hate witnesses. I more feel sorry for them. Most are decent people, just blinded and deceived by the big bad wolf (WTS). Your GB is marked as false prophets. They haven't hit the target on a prophecy since forever. They NEVER got one right. And you still follow? You'll be judged alone. Not as a group. Not coz you belong to their lil' club. (John 3:7) You MUST be born again. If you're not, HE doesn't know you (Matt.7:23). Are you, or any JWs born again? I think not.

  • @DeeStinger1 i want u to remeber ur words,do u know what born again means?its not accepting jesus only.russell n others started studying the bible, there was noone 2 right from wrong, but God saw that they were committed to speak the truth n shun the false teachings frm other churches. In a math problem sometimes u dont get it right the first time,u have to keep on trying right?same here.Numbers, phophecys are hard in the bible.they had to make mistakes but as of now, everything fits right.

  • @stupidvid I see you have no clue what being born again really is. Your organization probably don't talk on it and if they do it's all misinterpretated and swept under the carpet. Without being born again and becoming a newly created creation the devil has you all to himself.

  • @DeeStinger1 Do you know what it means?I mean cuz we do it all the time.We get babtized, thats what born againmeans.also means that youu have put on a new personality that your not the person u use to be.You have left the bad habits you had in the past.Thats what born again means.Jesus said one faith, one babtism..DUAHH.You dont know how Gods organization works,u have no clue.Dont listen to what people say,YOU go and SEE for YOURSELF.

  • @stupidvid > Born Again has nothing to do with getting wet. First off you have to accept the REAL Jesus, not JWs invented one, to be born again (baptized into Christ). Since JWs don't know Jesus for who He is I doubt any of you are Born Again. Thats just another WTS deception. Anyone can leave bad habits behind without a spiritual conversion. One faith one baptism means one SPIRITUAL BAPTISM into Christ coz even those without faith in Christ can be baptized, and it does them no good.

  • @DeeStinger1 out how this preaching work started. Its part 1 Jehovahs witness:coming out of darkness.I will be posting the other parts later this week.Your going to see that thiss organizations is APPROVED by God and Jesus.Isah43:10

  • @stupidvid > APPROVED by God? Laugh! Infact there's a HUGE stamp of DISAPPROVAL by God on the JWs. You didn't read all the passages on false prophets. Your GB hasn't hit the target on a prophecy since forever. NEVER got one right in 138 years = fauce profits. NOT ONE. JWs are in for a shock. God cares not what "club" you belong to. You'll stand alone in judgement, not as a group. You belittle Jesus, the only one who can vouch for you. You don't KNOW Jesus. (Matt.7:23) applies to YOU.

  • Lying, corrupt sack of s@*t!!! Does he think jehovah ain't looking at him right now? Or does he think that if he just lies to people" of the world", especially under oath, just doesn't matter.

  • @onimah duahh this is the only organization doing his will,or who do u think is? u?i dont think so!!

  • one of my neighbors is a JW and boy did they screw him over. His girlfriend spent the night at his apartment and one of his Witness Friends saw this and turned him in. He was immediately disfellowshipped, his employer is also a witness and had to fire him, his parents were also witness' so he couldn't go to them for help with bills or food or such. BTW they are married now and have a son. a son that will not be a JW. What a compassionate organization, just what Jesus would have done.

  • @damaniseman Thank you from me for posting that one damaniseman. You make a very salient point, perhaps w/out fully realising it.

    ³

Unambiguously. Within the Witness org's own doctrine && rules, - de facto orated && in print, - they CLEARLY state that an erring member who has sinned is 'NOT DISFELLOWSHIPPED for sinning, the sin, what they've actually done, but for FAILING TO BE REPENTANT FOR IT'.

As if the suits judging him in a 'wee room', inconceivably, are not ever error-prone themselves.

  • @damaniseman hey they had to do what they had to do.I would of done the same thing and if they saw me doing it,I would like for anyone to turn me in to the elders,so I cant stop doing what i was doing, dont u think?

  • @stupidvid No, they didn't do what they had to do. They did what they chose to do. Which wasn't a very Christ-like thing to do.

  • What an arrogant slime squirt. He is not even a man. Imagine that 'living forever'.

2,28 ".... the whole family is shunned or whatever...." !?

  • "I've been an overseer for 30 years, i've been a presiding overseer for 25 years". Jargon blustering in court. Arrogance.

I'm sure the federal court authorities would start asking him about koine Greek and the Tetragrammaton off the top of their heads.

  • bullshit, you all shun the american flag because you don't believe in it! well if you told me to burn the flag I will shun you from the USA!! get out of my country!! How do I know this because you fuckers have tried to shun me from hanging the american flag but guess what, I am still hanging it up and i will continue!

  • @Speakyourmind2010 so who cares?they tried to make jesus king and what did he say?MY KINGDOM IS NOT FROM THIS SOURCE,he hates the political system.(wild beast)and he will destroy it,and guess what?YOU AINT STOPPING HIM,just cause of your stripped flag..lol

  • Not only do people with disfellowshiped relatives have projected shame upon their familys, but the head of that household is barred from serving in an elevated capacity for a time when a child becomes disfellowshiped. In certian congregations Mirabella in Stockton, a mexican elders son was df'd that brother didnt have to step down, but when my dad who's white has me questioning our religion to others in the congregtation, he must step down as an elder. Oh by the way FUCK YOU TIM MARTINEZ!

  • @Truthbookblues Look up shunning on Wikipedia and you'll see how it differs in all the various religions. Yes the term "shun" means to avoid. However, it is a broad term and there are various ways and circumstances in which it can be applied. You yourself quoted a Watchtower article which mentioned avoiding "needless associatIon, even keeping business dealings to a minimum", with a disfellowshipped FAMILY member "LIVING OUTSIDE THE HOME". This does not apply to those LIVING IN THE SAME HOUSEHOLD

  • @corduroy1nfatuation Please see this liars further testimony about the custody packet available from the WT society's legal team. I was an elder and gave this to a number of people in messy divorces. It exists, he knows it and he is a liar. It's not just the disfellowshiping issue where he lies. Take a look at the video. Its in my videos and is titled "Is there a Custody Packet? Brother Liar Responds. This will show you what a two faced liar he is. I don't know you but I know what you favorite.

  • @Truthbookblues Disfellowshipping is shunning, and if you DARE call me a liar and attack my character without confronting the issues, you will have lost all respect from me and anyone reading my reply. We all KNOW what shunning is, thank you very much. I'm sure if you were shunned just because you fell in love with someone who wasn't a JW you'd change your tune too, hypocrite!

  • @Truthbookblues but why would he deny it? Shunning was used when I was a JW.

  • @corduroy1nfatuation Hey Corduroy It still dont make it "Godly" that a woman walks right by her daughter in a store.. Or if parents know a child is living in a Alley or Being abused or was abused by family not to help them.. Ive been DF'd for many years and the only time my mother associated with me was When she was missing me and wanted to try and convert (witness) to me Or she needed info. Once i was adamate about not beliving the religion I was cast out.

  • @corduroy1nfatuation Look up 'Hatfield-McCoy feud' on Wikipedia. (Or any 'pedia)

"Different religions"? There's only 1 religion being discussed on the forum page, && only 1 being discussed in the court house video.

This is an adult world and adult discussions here. You might have strayed.

  • @corduroy1nfatuation You seem to be on the defensive. Are you one of Jehovah's Witnesses? I think not. I've seen your list of favourite videos and they are not for Christian consumption. Surely you didn't miss the part at the Circuit Assembly about Star Wars and its demonic overtones. Even if you did your Bible trained conscience would tell you to avoid it. Please do not defend something you know nothing about.

  • @Truthbookblues I really pity you because you are just a bitter person who can't move on with your life. You know there were no lies told here. This man simply states that the term "shun" isn't used because of the stereotypes associated with the word in other religions, like the Amish. Their form of avoiding fellowship differs somewhat from what is known as "disfellowshipping", just as it does in many other religions.

  • @corduroy1nfatuation I'm not bitter. I have no problem with people being honest. Just as the Society calls people on their BS I am doing the same to this two faced liar. You can justify it all you want, probably like you justify choosing the Super Mario Sex Tape video as a favorite. You say one thing about honesty and cleanness before Jehovah and yet you are just as immoral as those you accuse. Did you not read the WT quote that uses the word SHUN? None as blind as will not see. Praise Jah.

  • @Truthbookblues Who are you to call me immoral and to say I accuse others when you don't even know me? If that doesn't prove you're full of crap, I don't know what does. You call this man "one of the most cocky, self righteous and biggest liars" over one word. You just want to argue and nitpick over the usage of "shun". He said why he didn't think it was appropriate. He didn't say it was NEVER used. He said in the publications there's "VERY FEW TIMES THAT THE WORD'S ACTUALLY USED". 1 Tim 6:4

  • @Truthbookblues You really like throwing the word "lie" and "liar" around don't you? You like to throw around irrelevent points about people characters rather than the issues at hand here, which is to say whether the JW's shun or not. Shunning means avoiding someone. Shunning means never talking to them unless (UNLESS ANS ONLY IF) there is some terrible emergency where you just HAVE to.

  • @corduroy1nfatuation awww.. Just because Truthbook is spending some time shareing with others why the organization is bad don't mean he isn't moving on..

Its a part of most of us till we die. Especialy those who were born into it. I have been out 18 years and still have moments when that irrational fear blossoms and it causes issues...

  • @corduroy1nfatuation

DEUT. 18:21 And in case you should say in your heart: “How shall we know the word that Jehovah has not spoken?” 22 when the prophet speaks in the name of Jehovah and the word does not occur or come true, that is the word that Jehovah DID NOT SPEAK. With presumptuousness the prophet spoke it. You must not get frightened at him.’

I am not scared of those that prophecy FALSELY !

  • @corduroy1nfatuation

"..you are just a bitter person who can't move on with your life"Keep telling yourself that. Keep marginalizing human beings in your snide way. If you are the best God has to offer and if your organization teaches you to belittle, I for one want nothing to do with it. You will never shut us ex-jw's up in all of the childish ways you have tried while we were there. Now run along to your quaint revenge fantasy where your god kills me for speaking my mind to you.

  • @corduroy1nfatuation well it was used when I was a JW for 20 years

  • Oh, look at the people claiming to have "the truth" lie through their teeth :)

  • Wow! The lies are unbelievable! Outright lies! For shame!

  • Someone I know was df for something that never happened as 1 other person not 2 or 3 testified against him he could not repent as he had done nothing 2 repent 4 it is disgusting the way they treat there members

  • :iar :iar :iar!!!!!!!! You know lying is a disfellowshipping offense. I wonder how he would like to experience his non-shunning

  • Of course is OK to lie if your defending Gods organisations on earth?

  • This guy is one of many similar arseholes around the place - my family are JW's, I was never baptised so my family can associate with me, but my young brother who was baptised, disassociated himself from the JW's, is now shunned. Technically I'm not an "APOSTATE" but in real life I'm actually a huge fucking APOSTATE and I try to undermine the JW's whenever and whereever possible....

  • Fucking cult liars!

  • This curcuit overseer lied lied lied. Having been one of JW's and having had a disfellowshipped sister and then being disfellowshipped myself I can tell you 100% you are not aloud to have any association with someone who is disfellowshipped. If you do you will be talk to by the elders and the other JW will have nothing to do with you.

  • "Refrain from anger and turn from wrath, do not fret - it leads only to evil." Psalm 37:8..."for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires." James 1:20..."if anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless." James 1:26

  • "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23..."if we say that we have no sin, we decieve ourselves, and the truth is not in us...if we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts." 1John 1:8,1:10..."for the word of the Lord is right and true, he is faithful in all he does." Psalm 33:4...

  • 2 Corinthians 6:14-17"Do not become unevenly yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship do righteousness and lawlessness have?Or what sharing does light have with darkness?Further, what harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what portion does a faithful person have with an unbeliever? And what agreement does God's temple have with idols? For we are a temple of a living God;just as God said"I shall reside among them and walk among them, and I shall be their God,and they will be my people..

  • "Therefore get out from among them, and separate yourselves,' says Jehovah, 'and quit touching the unclean thing'", 'and I will take you in."If someone even a family member has been disfellowshipped because they CHOOSE to willfully sin even after they know that they are doing something that Jehovah says in the Bible is wrong...then we dont WANT to hang out and chit chat with you! YOU made the decision to sin against God so YOU have to live with the consequences!

  • Jehovah's Witnesses DO NOT divide families! The person who is WILLFULLY SINNING and is unrepentant is the one who is CHOOSING to divide the family! Put the blame where it should be, with the sinner. The righteous person will not want to associate with someone who is willfully sinning!2 Corinthians 6:14-17 tells us that.

  • @JahisGod1 Hey JahisGod...

What about the JW's who leave and live a very Riteous life... They just didnt follow the WTBTS... they simply folowed the ten commandments as best as they could..

    They are shunned too...

because they disagree with what the governing body says?

    Psalms 146 3,4

    FTW

  • Cont. ~ And, due to all of the mind control techniques...generally, from my experience...and others I know...the latter evolves. The family basically cuts you off. Yes, cuts you off. Now, I don't resent those whom do this, though it is hard not to; but rather, my anger is directed at the organization that has taught this to be Christian conduct.

  • Round and round we go...that is what I think about this Elder's conduct. I know first hand that when you leave or are disfellowshiped, your family is discouraged from associating with you.

  • What's with the damned chanting...

Anyways I'm in favor of disfellowshipping.

I think more religions should take it up also.

  • Ok get this straight disfellowshiping is for people who do wrong things.

  • Hey, get this straight Elders are not supposed to LIE. They can be disfellowshipped for that. This douche is lying under oath and more than once.

  • Well, except for when they are in court and trying to protect the 'organization'. They have several articles on 'theocratic warfare' and what that entails - it is ok to lie when you are speaking to someone that doesn't deserve the truth. Therefore, this elder will not be disciplined for lying.

  • I have a sister who is a jw and she is truely "Nuts" She has displayed her lack of compasion towards her family. She is truely an Evil person. I have nothing more to do with her.

  • See2th has a longer version of this video, and u can clearly see how this overseer if going to great lenths to separete shunning from disfellowshipping. When we all know that in the jw org they are the same thing

  • I agree with the bible view on disfellowshipped, it's there I read it. But here is the point, this elder is trying to make it sound like shunning and disfellowshipping are diferrent. When the gods love book clearly says, that not even a 'hello' should be said, because it can lead to a conversation. This guy should come out and say it, with no word games. But I am sure he's got instructions from above(gov body). Can any jw defend this overseer or maybe he did not get the gods love book

  • Comment removed

  • I think that these types of high control 'religions' are going to die off, purely because of the internet. For the first time ever man has managed to keep a huge record of everything for anyone to look up and see the truth of what they might fall into..... Wonderful I think.

  • They also teach that when Witnesses take the stand, they are guided by God's spirit as to what to say. Think that is going here?

  • Well, over the last 120 odd years, God certianly has told a few small fibs - like the dates for the end of the world...

They only say they are guided as it reinforces the brainwashing of the audience... and puts fear into them... Pathetic old farts...

  • I hate the wbts.. I hate the GB and I hate the organization. This said

    THEY DO SHUN!

  • 1JOHN4

  • Sure go ahead and pull out your scriptures. Back in the earlier JW beliefs they viewed shunning or "disfellowshipping" as an evil deed. Besides the governing body in new york decides whats a DF offense and what isn't by a vote. A frickin' vote! Yeah that's really God's spirit working there isn't it.

  • Try to set the "record" straight disfellowshipping means shunning. Sure put it in nicer terms "it just means that they're no longer jehovah's witnesses." But you still don't talk to them. You still avoid them like they're a dangerous disease.

  • the Nazis shoved those who did not tow their line into the gas chambers and killed them.....

the JWs throw out and 'kill' anyone by cutting them off from all association, when these were the only friends they were allowed to have in the first place, thanks to their own cruel rules they made.

so what is the difference between the hate of the JWs and the hate of the Nazis? Both are to be seen in the sam elight.

  • @Haskuthan - Is either you believe in the Bible or you do not - Now when Judas backstabbed Jesus did the apostles keep him in company - He paid for his crime - Now is it not the Bible that said that do not keep that person company unless they repented - Read your Bible and see what the early thought about the matter - Have a pleasant day

    Sheila

  • JWs are love handicapped, showing love to no one except their own. What good is it? Jesus wld tell u.

Do u believe God who says Mercy triumphs exceedingly over judgment? Its easier 2 hate than 2 love & u pick the shameful way out. Judas sold Jesus for 30 silver. The Wtchtr sell him 4 mch more: stocks, bonds, real estate, property, wills etc, which it encourages everyone to give! Will u disfellowship the Greater Judas, now?

  • @Haskuthan good point! He said what is it to only show love to those loving you? You should love those hating you. Yeh, if you are disfellowshipped, you are hated! They aim at making you feel rejected so you will feel shame. They are told to 'give you up to Satan' and let God judge those on the outside and treat you like tax collectors. You don't treat tax collectors with contempt, do you? You are also told to try and get them back. Can't do this with hate.

  • Let me set the record straight people...We as JW's are required to "shun" and disassociate ourselves from any who decide to leave our Religion. Even if that one does not commit an immoral sin and just wants to no longer be a JW. We are told not to even have lunch with that person , if we were too, there would have a judicial committee to determine our status in the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's witnesses

  • i have a question for you - what are you doing anyway on a site like this ?! Wouldn't that be considered a SIN reading all these comments by so-called non JWs and apostates ?

  • @anni742 anni.. Let Him dig his "own Personal grave" Smile nodd and feed him the very food he needs..

    Truth

    with a side of "dumbass"

  • @dadof2lilqueens there ya go!

  • 1 Corinthians 5:11-13 "But now I am writing YOU to quit mixing in company with anyone called a brother that is a fornicator or a greedy person or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or an extortioner, not even eating with such a man.For what do I have to do with judging those outside? Do YOU not judge those inside, while God judges those outside? Remove the wicked [man] from among yourselves." This is for unrepentant sinners. If you repent and stop sinning then you wont be disfellowshipped!

  • i repented and they still disfellowedshiped me

  • First of all, a person can say they've repented, but WHO really knows if it's true, except for GOD himself, so technically no man, Elder, or whoever has the right to say whether that person has or has not repented ! Therefore JWs are setting themselve up in the place of GOD, to say whether a person is repentant or not - How presumptuous of them !

  • Apart from the fact that their interpretation of scripture as well as all their dogmas are full of Holes, man-made rules and regulations, misinterpreted and taken out of context scriptures! Our relationship should be with GOD only.

  • Have you actually read your Bible? It sats not to stop associating, there are whole sections on the congregation--whole books devoted to how elder & ministerial servents should shepperd the flock...

  • No they are not setting themselves up in the place of God. They are simply there to listen, pray with the sinner, and try to get them to QUIT sinning. If you tell them that your going to quit sinning and are sorry for what you have done than they will believe you, and wont disfellowship you. However if you go before the elders and tell them that your sinning and you DONT CARE, and are going to KEEP DOING IT, then yes you will have to be disfellowshipped.

  • I strongly disagree with you, it all sounds so innocent they way you tell it, but the facts have proven quite differently for many people who were once JWs. I know it from personal experience, and even if a person is sorry, they Still df them ! Those are the cold facts..plus they divide families which is NOT christian !

  • @JahisGod1 Not true... Not true at all...

Jahisgod I was on medications.. Alot of Circumstances surrounding it. I was having break downs and tryign to keep my emotions Under control (I would wake up covered in cuts and burns) They asked me details about my sin and i explained that I needed to be careful I was afriad it would happen there with them.. I couldn't even cry... and even tho I said I was Repentnent (which I was at the time) they didnt care.. I hadn't

    "Broken"

  • The elders do not say they are perfect. Their job is a hard one for sure. They do not get paid....hello. They do it simply out of love. JahisGod1 is only one who speaks the truth! Many hate us & jealous because they do not have the moral fiber to cut it as a real Christian. no real integrity or interest in -or love for Jehovah. And how can you properly love God's son, if you do not first love Him? Satan gets the masses worshipping Jesus & Mary, & stands back & laughs...

  • ok i know u sincerely believe what you believe.. i know because i have been there. But, if you were to look at the whole picture of the JW org. you would find there are many inconsistencies etc. JWs are not the only ones that are hated, you have to be a bit more objective than that. I have a daughter who is still being held hostage in that org. due to the mind control used by the Org. don't believe me? check it for yourself. As for Satan, he attacks ALL good people - I wish you well.

  • Me too. Oh well.. it ended up being the best thing for me. I wouldn't have left if I hadn't been kicked out.

  • as so many things, this scripture has been taken out of context and interpreted to suit their agenda.

  • Taken out of context?!? HOW? It clearly shows that we must "quit mixing in company with anyone called a brother" who continues to openly sin and refuses to repent? OUT OF CONTEXT? Read the whole letter that Paul wrote to the Corinthian congregation! Read all of 1 Corinthians! It is very clear. We are to stay away from our brothers (Jehovah's Witnesses) who are sinning and are unrepentant.

  • @JahisGod1 Who is it who can define sin?

Speeking out against a organization of MEN is not SInning.

    Speeking out against GOD is..

If you cannot see the difference... And more people are DF'd for this reason that most.

  • 1 Corinthians 15:33 "Do not be misled. Bad associations spoil useful habits." If we associate with an unrepentant sinner then we are condoning their sins. If we associate with them then we can start to commit the same sins they are. They can down play how wrong what they are doing is, and get us to think, well I can do it too, its not THAT bad. Then we find ourselves willfully sinning against God.

  • A year ago a jw nocked on my door on christmas day! Gods we ran his stupid ass out... how disrespectful! If you want us to respect you respect us by leaving us the fuck alone!!!

  • No they don't shun....they just hate!....thats better right! They hate all disfellowshiped jw's. They are nothing but a double standard organization, and clearly isn't a worthy religion.

  • There is a good reason why Witnesses who have been 'in the truth' for many years believe they have God's permission to lie and be evasive. The doctrine of Theocratic Warfare was very popular for decades. The Watchtower used scriptures to prove this doctrine is Bible based. See ArizonaCircle . Com & Search 'Jehovah'

  • Genesis 3:24

    1 Corinthians 5:6, 7

    Deuteronomy 17:7

    Titus 3:10

    2 John - verse 10

All reasons and examples of why we, as jehovahs witnesses, do not associate with people disfellowshipped.

  • The problem with the practice is you lump together those who are living a completely immoral life with those who may have committed a moral mistake and who show no desire to deviate from a Godly life. This includes young teenagers who may not be able to handle the extreme practice. While you can take measures to let everyone know that the person has gone awry (public reproval) disfellowshipping should be reserved for extreme or excessive sinners.

  • I should add that Love is our prevailing quality as christians, not judgement and an inordinate fear of being contaminated by others. Love is so powerful but it is often the hardest to display.

  • That is why Jehovah's witnesses only disfellowship the unrepentant sinners. If you have committed a moral mistake and are working to get straighten up the mistake and others in the congregation hear about the sin, and you keep following God then you are only "publically reproved" which means that people can still talk to you but that you have made a mistake and repented from it and most of the congregation have heard about the problem.Yes disfellowshipping is only reserved for excessive sinners.

  • What makes you so certain that what you say is true? Is it from experience or do you simply have an unbreakable faith in the Watchtower organization? I ask this because I often notice that with such serious discussions, people spend excessive time debating the veracity of a provable fact instead of the the proper scriptural response once the truth is confirmed. What you say is both scriptural and according to Watchtower printed policy. There is a serious issue however with reality as it is.

  • @JWBrock1001

Jehovah's Witnesses were part of the UN year after year Taking a Oath to uphold what the uN stood for..

The very core of thier doctrine is based on Pagan/egyptian Ritual and Astrological science 1914 Stemed from the Measurments of the Great pyramid...

    Psalms 146 3.4

All reasons the Watch Tower Society is NOT the TRUTH...

  • Did they knock your mind up? Unknock it up at jehovahswitless dot weebly com

  • This guy is a well read lawyer, Bullshit demon. Its all about profit baby, busy buisness fucker

  • ugh its like a car salesman jw style. whats this from?

  • In what year, then, would the first 6,000 years of man's existence and also the first 6,000 years of Gods rest day come to an end? The year 1975. It means that within a relatively few years we will witness the fulfilment of the remaining prophecies that have to do with the "time of the end". Awake! 1966 October 8 pp.19-20

  • talk to defendingYHWH

  • YES THEY DO LIE & SHUN!!!

  • great to expose this cult! shame that so many people get dragged into this cult, which is nothing more than a delusion.

  • He is walking SUCH a fine line here! Technically the JWs don't "shun", they just disfellowship and avoid that person's company, presence, refuse to assist disfellowshipped persons even in cases of dire need, and forbid family and friends still in JW organization to talk to or associate with them. But technically, it's not "shunning"!! So the guy is technically telling the 'truth', but in the spirit of the law is committing perjury.

  • Apostate

  • Your choice of favorites really brings honor to Jehovah. Are you pursuing worthy goals? *** w07 5/1 p. 27 par. 13 Youths—Pursue Goals That Honor God *** 13 Third, Gods Word is a storehouse of practical wisdom. (Psalm 1:1-3; 19:7; 2 Timothy 2:7; 3:15) It will help you choose your friends wisely, select wholesome entertainment, and deal with countless other challenges. (Genesis 34:1, 2; Psalm 119:37; 1 Corinthians 7:36) Making wise decisions now is vital to your reaching spiritual goals.

  • @cerealkyler take it your disfellowshiped people,with a grudge it seems,get a life

  • @georgeeboy2222 Nope, not disfellowshiped. As an elder I sat on committees and disfellowshiped others. Then of course, no one could talk to them. Regret is very much. If you know anything about the "Truth" you know this man is lying his ass off. There is no "truth" coming from him, even under oath. Think of it, this liar sits in judgment of others!

  • @georgeeboy2222 O.o take it yer a Mindless Sheep JW who would let yer child be shot in the head before renouncing the Society...

I think U need to read up on Secret Societies.. Oo

  • Don't lie to people. Family members of disfellowshipped ones are not kicked out of the congregation themselves, but they are warned, because obviously the disfellowshipped person is doing what is against biblical teachings. And usually disfellowshipped people are bitter and make up lies and go against the Jehova's Witnesses.

  • Why make up lies when the truth (not "The Truth") is damning enough? And by the way, aren't you breaking a few rules right now?

  • I felt the JW in court was not telling the truth....JWs are told to keep away from wrongdoers, and quote the Bible in defence....this JW was not being truthful, because I know for a fact ones who are disfellowshipped are totally ignored by other JWs....FACT.

  • It`s just very sad that shunning is used, but of course this is to bring that one back to his senses...but it actually works to the contrary. That person will feel isolated, this is actually pushing this person more and more into the world....now there is caution here, because we ALL have the right to associate with who we decide to. The JWs can of course might be told not to associate with a disfellowshipped person.....but I don`t think totally ignoring that person is loving.

  • I don't think Jesus was looking for worldly intelects for his disciples. They were ordinary people with ordinary jobs. He was looking for humble hearts who would listen to the message of God's Kingdom.

  • Nope, he wasn't looking for "worldly" intellects. He was looking for truthful people. He was looking for honest people. This man is neither. He is lying through his teeth and the Judge had a copy of the custody packet on his desk provided by the congregation to a publisher and given to him. Twit.

  • Don`t know why peeps have minused you. You are right.....IQ has nothing to do with EQ which is what Jesus taught people to have. Basically IQ versus EQ, whats more important? It`s great to have them both though.

  • JW's lie & shun other people even when it's their own when DF'd so don't tell me they don't. I know they do.

  • I was disfellowshipped for being in love with a married woman and going to the elders to tell them. She and i were intoxicated with each other. We didnt lie and say we'd leave each other alone. we told the truth... and for this we were cut off. I am not a hypocrite. But a people that welcomes with open arms total starngers that may be very bad individulas while shunning the ones who are honest is not the kind of folk i will put my money on in the end of days.

  • i assume that all of u are apostates right??

  • yeah.. they are, watch out for them.

  • R u a JW???

  • I disagree with JWs on almost everything. But they should shun whoever they want. It's their business. I think it's disgusting, but that's just another reason why
