I actually like the changes you made to this story, usually its slower -- he sends his three dogs after it, two come back, he sends two after it, one comes back, etc.

Also the creature, and the voice is pretty scary. This is a story that SHOULD have been in the Scary Stories books, and it was a great idea to use it.
