Donald Rumsfeld as just plain stupid they used Gen. Powell because no one would believe Bush, Cheney or Rumsfeld all three of these idiots should be charged for war crimes but it seems like our country lawmakers have no balls to do so. Maybe we should have the UN and I'll love the world leaders charge them for war crimes George W. Bush wanted a war sold damn bad he did not care who died as long as him and Dick Cheney made money. They screwed up the whole world economy for their benefit .
Thanks to Bush nearly 60 million muslims are experiencing the birth pangs of democracy. Sub-Saharan Africa give Bush a heroes 80% approval rating for extreme advances in helping the poor become owners and for unprecedented help in the war on AIDS. Bono and Geldof scorned the press for the media black out on his humanitarian legacy. The UN required that Saddam give an accounting for the weapons he used on the Iranians and his own people. He refused. Now people vote in Iraq.
So what, people vote here in the States, too, but what good does it do us? Shittier conditions every day for the average citizen, while a few elite Wall Street fat-cats suck up MORE of our money.
Over 1 million Iraqis died as a result of the U.S. invasion, and polls show they didn't want us to invade, and wanted us OUT once we were there. They STILL don't have adequate living conditions---electricity, clean running water, etc. The U.S. is there to plant more bases for OIL.
I don't give a damn if WMD are ever found. When Bush spoke endlessly about the freedom and liberty that were denied the Iraqis he made a humanitarian case that was rock solid. If liberals feel the Saddams of the world should be allowed to stay in power they will soon have a chance to exercise such judicial insanity if Obama is elected.
Chiangmai007.......first off you don't know shit...second off bush and his cabinet were informed that no wmd's were present in Iraq by the U.N. nuclear anylasts, so how can you say that Bush truly reacted correctly in the name of America by embarking the U.S into a quagmire that would endanger the lives of men and women for the wrong incentives of war......So next time you or anyone comments about the war in a positive manner, check your info. before you state an ignorant comment.
Have you never seen the picture of Rumsfeld SHAKING HANDS with Saddam? And that was back in the '80s, during the worst of Saddam's crimes!!!!
The U.S. is A-OKAY with brutal dictators who mistreat their own people, so long as they behave like good U.S. business-puppets. As soon as they try for too much autonomy, or the U.S. finds it convenient, they are suddenly painted as EVIL. The U.S. sold him the fucking chemical weapons he used---the U.S. power structure has no morals.
@ModernPlague You would have to read Rumsfeld in his own words to understand the context and complexity of what was going on and his personal contempt for Saddam. It doesn't appear that you have done that yet.....When the dictator loving Carter was given his White House eviction notice by the American voters, Iran suddenly freed the 52 American hostages after 444 days of captivity on Day 1 of Reagan's presidency. The wisdom of letting Saddam and Iran bleed each other out had its pros and cons.
Republicans inside of Congress told Iran to hold off releasing the hostages until right after Reagan was sworn in, which is exactly what happened. Look it up if you don't believe me. Realize that both parties work for the interests of the multi global national banks that control almost completely what they do. It's sad but true. Bush and Obama are puppet Presidents.
"we know where they are, they are around the area (of whatever), bagdad, east, west, south and north"
well so the weapons were everywhere? :DD omg the whole shit about afghanistan began i already wondered how stupid the american people are that they believe this whole shit. it was so obvious that these were all lies even the whole thing about osama and 9/11.
