  • Orson Welles is a gay fish

  • Maurice LaMarche actually won an award for his Orson Welles impersonation in Futurama. Why didn't he win it for The Critic? How stupid.

  • Tap 6 for an Italian guy!

  • 1:58 Chewing before he even eats? LOL

  • of course everyone notices "green peaness," but what about his particular emphasis on the beginning of the phrase "country goodness"?

  • @parser9 Never noticed that. Thanks.

  • Blotto Bros. Sensibly priced at a dollar a jug!

  • MAAAAHAAAAA the french

  • THEY ARE EVEN BETTER WHEN YOU ARE CANCELED!

  • "Oh what luck...there's a french fry stuck in my beard..."

    LMFAO.

  • "What are we gon' do tomorrow Brain?"

"The same thing we do every night, Pinky. Try to take OVER THE WORLD"

  • 9 people hate green penis, but 618 have one that size

  • "THE LIVING WILL!!! MWA HA HA HA HA!!!!" LoL

  • The Brain said hell! The Brain swore! Ha ha ha

  • I've decided to be buried with Mrs. Pell's fish sticks since they're even better when you're dead.

  • I see the blood sucking Joos just can't stop attacking this man alive or dead! They absolutely can't stand it if someone even hints of their evils which he did in Kane. Kane wasn't just about Hearst.

  • Pony Fortress 2 brought me here.

  • Is it just me or does margo seem younger in season 2?

  • 8 people don't like Mrs. Pells' fishsticks.

  • "Full of country goodness and green pea-ness...wait a minute, that's terrible. I QUIT."

I liked that line because I'd say the same thing!

  • is this really him or a impersonator ?

  • @Ijizzdinmypants By the voice, I'd say it was Maurice LaMarche (AKA Brain from "Pinky and the Brain")

  • @Ijizzdinmypants

Orson Welles died in 1986, way before The Critic was made.

  • 0:58 His eyes... oh god HIS EYES

  • "They're even better when your dead" Orson Welles is hilarious!

  • I'd like to include Goblins as my beneficiaries

  • Yes, OH YES! They're even better when you're DEAD!

  • 1:22 So that's where the Nostalgia Critic got the evil laugh from.

  • for the longest, I thought he said Peaess!, So it was Pea-ness...

  • GREEN PENIS LOL

Well it sounded like that for me

  • @andrezlatin Why do you think he left?

  • I love the little sideways "Huh?" look Jay gives the guy after he says "narrated by Orson Welles".

  • Do i dare to use the gayfish joke?

Also i see Brain before me if i close my eyes :O

  • even better when yer dead? omg lolool

  • What episode is this from? :)

  • LOL Bob, God, And The Devil or something like that

  • Is it wrong that this made me hungry?

  • I wish I had my video will narrated by Orson Welles...

  • 4 people didn't find a french fry in their beard...

  • I don't think Maurice La Marche's impression sounds like Orson Welles :(

  • It is the Brain... lol

  • oh what luck theres a french fry stuck in my beard

  • I hear the Brain :D

  • even in death, hes still doing commercials.

  • The animation in this seriously surpasses animation in today's FOX tv shows, that's all I can say.

  • 1:13

Calm down, you're Orson Welles, not Rod Serling.

  • This made me remember how awesome frozen peas are.. They are delicious.

  • Step 1: Get some food...A LOT of food.

    Step 2: Keep pressing 8

If you can outlast, and beat Orson Wells in an eating contest, I will give you $10 000

  • Yes, Rosebud Frozen peas. Full of country goodness and green peaness. Wait a minute, that's TERRIBLE. I QUIT.

  • Green...peaness?

  • Orson Welles is a gay dead fish?

  • Is that Phil Hartman at the beginning?

  • I'm pretty sure Orson Welles isn't proud of his career in commercials

Hell, He hated his role as Unicron in the film "Transformers: The Movie"

  • @Kitsuneranger:

That's to bad. To be part of Transformers...I see that as an honor.

  • theyre even better raw

  • I wish MY will was narrated by Orson Welles

  • fish dicks? what is he a gay fish?

  • 1:41 - That's what she said.

  • But Brain, where are we going to get green peaness at 4:00 in the morning?

  • 1:01

  • THEY TASTE EVEN BETTER WHEN YOUR DEAD

  • brain?

  • Featured on TV Tropes! =D

  • Press 3, 2, 1, 8 -> "Oh what luck, frozen magic *eats*"

  • This show was extremely underrated.

Not like the trash kids today watch, South Park has got nothing on The Critic.

  • pause,press 4 until 0:51, next pause again and press 5. enjoy

  • Watching this guy makes me hungry. Advert successful.

  • Finally a video with all of the clips put into one! Word up on the "underrated" part, The Critic was the ****.

  • This video is even better when you're dead.

  • 1:23 Greatest Evil laugh ever.

  • What a childish wasted lo*d piece of unimformed garbage. Youth is wasted on the youngish.

  • @astromax468

sounds like you lack country goodness and green peaness.

  • Is that Dave Mallow as the director guy of the will(and the guy who hands them the will video)?, Rofl, I think it is...XD

  • This video is even better when you're dead.

  • "Yes... YES! They're even better RAW!"

  • @BNfan890 "Yes... YES! They're even better when your DEAD!"

  • This show too far ahead of its time for the ratings game.

    Still love it, though. :)

  • "Full of country goodness and green pea-ness."

  • @youngwolf Heh heh, you said "penis."

  • "Lights, camera, unemployment!"

  • Does anybody notice at the end when Orson Welles pulls out the fishsticks, he starts eating them without putting a single one in his mouth?

  • Never has shaming beloved movie icons been so much fun.

  • He sounds like he is having an orgasm

  • so is old orson welles the thinking mans adam west or is adam west just the poor mans old orson welles?

  • @unfilter

Adam West is just alive and entertainment panders to the LCD today.

  • (I'm not trying to be rude and I'm not against this video in anyway)

Even though this was made for humorous reasons...

I can't help but feeling sorry for Orson Welles when I watch spoofs like this one! His life was so hard... and I think it stinks that people make jokes about his gluttony, debt, stupid commercials, etc. He really was a great artist. I wish he were still around..

And I wish there were more youtube videos praising all of his good works. Ha, oh well (:

  • @imagineyouu11 yes, Orson Welles was amazing.

  • @imagineyouu11 Instead of recognizing people's accomplishments, our society prefers to focus upon the dirt in their reputations to a point in which we're not sure why they're even famous in the first place. Also, that dirt is often either misconstrued or untrue, whether it's Jefferson's relationship with Sally Hemmings, Lincoln's homosexuality, Disney's antisemitism, or Welles' later career. This video is funny, but he should be a point of pride for American culture, not an object of ridicule.

  • @snipetracker "A point of pride for American culture, not an object of ridicule." -- I admire you so much for saying that. :)

  • @imagineyouu11 Thank you. I just get frustrated by how we Americans don't honor our great contributors to the arts and humanities, like Welles - probably because we now find ourselves entertained by Michael Bay, Jersey Shore, Scream IV, and Family Guy. In Europe, where American culture is typically scoffed at, Welles is praised, while I would bet that most U.S. high schoolers have never even heard of Citizen Kane.

  • @snipetracker Well said ^^

  • @snipetracker No problem! I'm frustrated by the same things as well. I know, because I am a high school student, that the vast majority of students haven't heard of Citizen Kane or Orson Welles. Only my friends know of Citizen Kane or Orson Welles. And that's just because I'm constantly talking about Orson and making them watch Citizen Kane -- which they end up hating. It's very sad.

  • @snipetracker I wouldn't say American culture us scoffed at in Europe. All countries make some poor TV , Movies , Music and everything else. The best America has to offer in these fields though is respected as much as the best from any other nation I think.

  • @imagineyouu11 So true.

  • @imagineyouu11 I understand how you feel. I too pity Orson Welles. Here was a great artist, a promising young director and actually, one of the better actors, basically ruined by the Rupert Murdoch of their time and the studio he worked for. He had to take penny-ante acting gigs to pay the bills and sometimes he couldn't even do that, and to top it off, even though he outlived many of the Golden Age stars, his life was far too short.

  • @imagineyouu11 Well yeah but it's also paying tribute to his image. Seeing such an iconic artist getting paid to do low profile commercials is pretty funny in a ironic way.

  • @imagineyouu11 I feel the same way, but I can't stop watching.

  • @imagineyouu11 He was a genius, a stupendous talent and he simply didn't do what everyone else did... he suffered because in a world which publically prides itself on art but at its heart is all about money and blandness... he tried to express his originality and brilliance. It's a shame a lot of people don't know how hard he had to fight and even when he made glorious pieces of art like Citizen Kane he still had the powerful establishment heckling him out of town. A true genius.

  • @imagineyouu11

Hrm. I always thought parodies that were done correctly, honored what they parodied.

  • He sounds like The Brain :P From Pinky and the Brain...

  • @xiDragonx That's because The Brian's voice was based on Orson Welles (plus the same voice actor provided the voice).

  • @xiDragonx same voice actor :-)

  • They're even better when you're dead.

  • LOL no goblins.

  • Fine, fine, no goblins! I give you, PEANESS! MUHAHAHAHAHA

  • That was one of the funniest things I ever saw!

  • Maurice LaMarche is a voice acting god.

  • This show kicked all kinds of ass. Good thing I own the dvd ;)

  • ''Fine fine no goblins.''

  • Maurice LaMarche is the only person i could see playing Orson Wells

  • @jamesbonddarthvader He actually played Orson in an episode of Futurama. I was really glad he agreed to do it.

  • @jamesbonddarthvader Moe's just too brilliant to replace

  • @jamesbonddarthvader Maurice is excellent, but also check out the guy from Upright Citizens Brigade in the "More Drunk Orson Welles Outtakes" video.

  • @jamesbonddarthvader That and Vincent Price.

  • Comment removed

  • @jamesbonddarthvader Fun little fact, an actor playing Orson Welles in a movie called 'Ed Wood' didn't have the right voice, so they got Maurice to dub him.

  • orson welles makes me hungry for raw fish sticks

  • Always loved the Orson Welles segments on "The Critic". Thank you for posting! :)

  • Green peaness...

  • A handful? He took out 1/3rd of the bowl!

  • @AngelofMusic04 Well he has big hands from all the fish sticks :P

  • HE ALWAYS EAT IN FUNNY WAY AND WHAT HE SAYS AND ALL LMAO

  • Maurice LaMarche... brain from pink and the brain... kif from futarama.. and a million over roles

  • Jesus, this show is hilarious. I gotta rewatch it.

  • lol tags: my life is to not end up like this guy

  • The voice is Brain from Pinky and the Brain. I'd bet my left nut on it.

  • "Oh what luck.. there's a french fry stuck in my beard"

  • "Rooseeebudd"

  • I love how the Critic makes fun of the fans that one of the greatest actors of all time basically lived out the last years of his life cutting stupid commercials...

    And it's AWESOME!!

  • @SickBritKid - And in the last days of his life, recorded lines for the Transformers film. Amazing!

  • They're even better dead! :D

  • This is even better raw!

  • Interesting to note, but Maurice LaMarche also dubbed Vincent D'Onofrio in Ed Wood. D'Onofrio played the physical role of Welles, while LaMarche provided the voice.

It's really convincing onscreen and does not use comp trickery.

  • I have a sudden urge for Mrs. Pell's Fish Sticks ...

  • 1:24 - Nostalgia Critic, anyone? ;) *lol*

  • The Critic and Duckman were greatly underrated shows!

Much much better than American Dad and Family guy, both pale in comparison.

  • I always loved his voice!

  • full of country goodness and green pea-ness

  • that was really funny, "there even better RAW", didn't know who orson welles was as a kid but i got the joke that he was supposed to be a sophisticated sell out.

  • 1:24 So THAT'S where Nostalgia Critic gets his evil laugh

  • @baxterfilms HOLY CRAP YOU ARE RIGHT! SWEET!

  • LOL the ending

  • Maurice's career is basically built around his Orson Welles impression.

  • OMIGOSH! Nostalgia Critic's evil laugh! I've found it at last!

  • @Lammy4ever7 It makes sense. Get it? "The Critic?"

  • Maurice LaMarche is a freakin' genius! One of my favorite cartoon voice over actors! The Brain, Egon from The Real Ghostbusters, his Orson Welles impersontations from the Critic...and many more! He one of my faves along with Frank Welker, Peter Cullin, and the cast of The Simpsons.

  • I give you...

    Penis.

Nah, just kidding. Maurice la Marche is the man. ;D *lol*

  • The Brain!

  • seinfan9

  • Rosebud YES! Rosebud Frozen Peas. Full of country goodness and green Penis. Wait that's terrible, I quite. Just a handful for the road. Oh what luck! There's a French Fry stuck in my beard! Oh yea....

  • "What follows is a terrifying journey into the world of probate, beneficiaries, and GOBLINS!"

I am going to have to remember to include this line in my living will.

  • Maurice LaMarche is one of my favorite voice actors, and this just further proves how talented he is.

  • full of country goodness a green peaness

  • Gree Peaness---Still Funny!

    Orson Welles impressions---Timeless!!!

Why they're even better when you're dead!

  • He did another Orson Welles impression in Futurama

  • The Critic was a show that was just too smart for tv. It's a real shame it only lasted a few seasons (spread across two networks, no less).

  • am i the only 1 hearin Green penis?

  • @grayinu That's the joke.

  • @grayinu peaness.

  • I loved this little show...i wish Comedy Central would bring it back and replace that insipid flamer TOSH.O
