@Symbton wow man, im so honoured :) Well since the chord progression is F, G, Em, Am, I stay within the parent key, which is C Major, if you know your scale theory you can work out the parent key from the chord progression.
The trick is to use the corresponding modes for each chord

As I told you over pm before haha, I've only played for about a year.
So I've just recently started scraping on the surface of theory.
All I know is like E minor and alittle C minor.
Also practicing the lydian scale.
