I also despise Resurrection. My favorite is Aliens with Alien 3 being my third favorite. My biggest problem with Alien 3 being the poor special effects mostly with the rod puppet. Still a good film. The alternate cut is far better than the theatrical cut. The AVP films are flat out awful.

yeah aliens 3 is one of my favourites it would have been so easy for them to use all the marines guns and tanks and blow shit up again but it was great that they took it back to bare bones and made it a war of minds between the xeno and the humans..this game looks good i only played aliens 3 on snes back in the day this looks alot faster paced

First off, why the fuck did you call the gun Ripley is using at 3:14 a "machine gun"? Everyone knows thats the quintessential Alien blasting weapon known as a Pulse Rifle with Grenade Launcher.Sacrilege!

Second; you said you'd never seen that alien at 6:06?!? WTF thats the "Soldier Alien" from ALIENS and there were literally hundreds/thousands in the second (and best) James Cameron ALIEN film duh how could u miss that!

Damn! I've just posted a review of the SNES version and right at the end I say exactly the same thing - ".....last surviving member of the nostromo". lol. oh well. I've played the Mega Drive/Genesis version once and I think it's generally more enjoyable though the SNES version really looks the part.

Alien: 10/10

Aliens: 9.5/10

Alien3 (Assembly Cut): 9/10

Alien: Resurrection: 6.75/10

I always wondered how Alien 3 would end up with Vincent Ward as a director. He had a unique vision which was very radical and extreme. I'd love to see it, but David Fincher should deserve an enormous amount of praise for what he did, especially considering very hard conditions in which he was put.

Alien is undoubtedly the best one for me, then it would be Aliens, and the Alien 3, especially the assembly cut, Alien: Resurrection is my least favourite of the series, and in fact the only one that I managed to see in cinema. I was born too late, haha. But even though it's my least favourite, I think it has a couple of strong points, including beautiful photography by Darius Khondji, and I appreciate it for completely different take. Jeunet in fact didn't want to do sci-fi movie and it shows.

I agree with you David that Alien 3 is the best, its my favourite aswell, both the theatrical and recut editions are fantastic. CJHin, while I appreciate your opinion I dont think Alien and Aliens can be compared, with Alien focusing on sheer terror and Aliens thrilling the audience with plenty of firepower and foes- the intention of the sequel was to get Ripley over her fear of the creature, that being why it isnt as scary. I hate Resurrection aswell! Absolutely awful!

I downloaded this for the SNES and SEGA. The SNES version game is better sound wise and graphics. THe movies are great. The first was kinda lame, but the rest were brilliant.
