When i bought my ghost hand magic online it came strung on the wrong side? like the moves you're supposed to be able to do on the original side are in reverse? Its weird is there any way to fix this without restringing it.?

@mynameisdarthtater Yeah, but 2 regular magics would be 16 tiles, you only need 12 tiles to string a master magic. Basically its the same thing for stringing a master magic except that you start with Type D first instead of Type C.

@corinaluver do you mean the silver kind? the tiles are thinner but it doesn't really affect it. like I don't think it's any less "durable" as this magic, like I don't think the strings break any easier than this one. but I don't have the silver kind, but I've used my friends, so I'm not exactly sure.

Wow! Awesome tutorial! VERY clear! This is REALLY good for people who want to make custom Rubik's Magic. You can take apart your own Magic and put your own picture inside and then use this tutorial to re-string it! @goldenshyguy3600 I can't really tell you to turn it clockwise or counter clockwise. Here's the reason: If you turn a wheel, if you look at it from one direction, it can look like its turning clockwise. But if you look at it from another direction, it can appear to be turning counter clockwise. Depending on which way you're looking at the wheel, both ways are correct.

So the best thing I can tell you to do is to carefully look at what I do in the video, and try to copy it.

The only reason my pieces of paper don't fall out is because I try to make them not fall out by deliberately restringing the magic. When I first restrung the magic, it would fall out all the time and it literally took me hours to restring the magic. But now I have more experience with it so it doesn't fall out as much.

If you're careful and it still falls out, you can I guess use a tiny bit of glue stick to stick the pieces of paper to the plastic tiles.

Well it's the exact same concept as stringing a normal Rubik's Magic, but you just start with Type D first. Like in a Rubik's magic, you would do C-D-C-D-C.... Master Magic is D-C-D-C-D....

You can make magic strings from fishing line, I have a tutorial on that called "How to Make a Rubik's Magic string."

Or you can go to the hknowstore (look on Google) and search up "magic string" on the website. They have like 20 magic strings for $4.99 USD I think.

How many times did you fully restring the magic to get it to that point? Sometimes, you may string the magic incorrectly, and it happens a lot especially for beginners.

It may take a couple or more full tries until you can get it working properly.

Yes, many beginners at stringing magics have problems with that.

If you haven't already try putting all the pieces on a flat surface like a table or something. If you already did that you'll just have to try to hold the pieces together so they don't get out of place.

Tape might work to hold the pieces together, though I haven't tried it.

maybe i missed someth. but... when it says ur actually rotating clockwise, from the cams perspective, it still looks like counter clockw. in what perspective > your eyes is the camera positioned? :S

Yeah my eyes are camera perspective, but someone got really confused and wasn't doing the camera perspective.

So from the camera and my eye perspective, it's all counterclockwise but someone thought it was alternating between clockwise and counterclockwise.

If you are more confused, don't worry what I say just follow what I DO in the video.

one of my magic's string broke off today. should i take out all the strings and restring it? right now its working fine without that string

Well if it works fine then taking out all the strings and then restringing it might not be worth it.

With one less, string, the magic becomes weaker and is prone to breaking more easily. (String breaks or comes off the magic)

I would just stay with it, or if you could try to put the string back onto the magic with all the other strings attached. That might be difficult and I wouldn't do that if you're not too experienced in stringing magics.

After looking at the guide I realized that stringing everything CCW is wrong.

C type should string:

first CCW then CW.

D type should string:

first CW then CCW.

After stringing this way the magic worked like magic.

Yeah some people do alternate the turning directions. But I haven't had problems with always stringing CCW. I've always been doing that with this method that I use and the magic works perfectly. Patrick Jameson, who has gotten 0.72 on Magic, also does CCW all the time. I don't know maybe it's just your magic because if you look at the comments of this video, people have successfully strung their magic using this method.

I have the red and yellow version, but it's suppose to be exactly the same.

I have followed the instructions 4 times and I always get into the same situation:

After folding and connecting the 7'th tile the magic does not open to a 4X2.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, or maybe there's a bug in this tutorial, don't know.
