Neither, really. It is basically trickjumping to get out of the map. Since we do not break through any barriers, this is normally doable in game, so it's not a glitch. It's obviously not a secret either. So I guess you could just say it's a cool place to jump to.

Yes I agree the whole thing was very dark, and even in some places it was completely black.
