I agree about the set time for groups of nominees. The speeches are sometimes boring and long and very tedious and it is embarassing and awkward if the music plays while someone steps up.

I majorly second that thought about disposing of the ghettoized animation category. It's insulting to the genre and implies that animation can never rise to the level of movies like Atonement or Michael Clayton, which is ridiculous. Ratatouille, in my opinion, was better than three of the five best picture noms this year.
