  • @kahkeshansard Chris De Burgh was in fact born in Argentina (fact) He was not born the son of "British parents" his father was British his mother Irish. He and his family live in the Republic of Ireland for 40 years now "De Burgh" is an Irish name. Get your facts correct He is Irish not British. Ireland have been free from British rule since 1948

  • there is no point in war but if its on its thos brave solgiers we should respect and think abut when they are dieing for us

  • it's my favorite in my Ipode when I travel in train....That's so romantic and true.. there are many guys and girls dying in the darkness of lonliness trapped in such love stories.....These love stories are eternal for they are like suffering a long life on jesus cross.....

  • chris de burgh can capture all emotion in his songs--they all hav a meaning and are well constructed

i agree i also see no wisdom in war.

  • I remember when this song came out. Having spent over half of my life in the military I have been through many wars and conflicts since that first time I heard this song.

I still don't see the wisdom in a war.

  • You're quit right.

  • search for "chyi yu" and her version of the same song....let me know what you think of her version :)

  • That's very good too. I liked it. Is she Chinese?

  • Thanks for your feedback. She's Taiwanese, studied anthropology in the states then went back to Taiwan to record as an artiste. She specializes in meaningful folk songs (with classical overtones). You can check her other songs by searching under "Chyi Yu" on Youtube. If someone can post her version of "Memory " and "Music of The Night" these are the songs where her powerful yet sensitive voice shines through.
