  • Beautiful bike. I wish my 100RT was that clean

  • good for trips or to and from work, sharp bike!

  • @MrWiringguy

Great touring bike still today. Its gonna get some mods here soon. Race Tech spring and emulators, rear shocks. Maybe a new seat for Clymer Girl! We will post some vids of this process, so check back.

  • Most enjoyable!

  • Hello sir ,

My name is Henri and i love to look at your video (R80RT) It is exactly the same bike as i am retauring right now ....only mine is from 1982...

But here is my question : my bike has the same colour as the bike on the video but i can't find any BMW colour nr on my bike...i think the sticker is gone.

I hope that you can help me with the origional color nr from your bike.

    Thanks anyway

Sorry I missed your comment. 533 is the code. However there were a number of blues that looked alike but with different codes. Google bmw motorcycle paint codes and you'll find a number of lists. Some are still available at the dealer. However, many are not. But you can have paint color matched easily enough.

  • sold mine at 695000ks, rode it every day for ten years..miss it like crazy, not the fastest but fast enough, as reliable as a freakin anvil. and i got nothing but respect from other bikers..LLTA to the max!!

  • my dad has a bmw r45 with rt fairing and a homemaid sidecar that my grandfather build (and he blew the r45 engine O_O) so it has an r80 engine with a kickstarter.

    AIRHEADS RULE!!!

  • Very informative. Great video. Thanks.

  • Very informative. I'll be back for more.

  • Got an 86 R80, non-RT. Can't stand the RT fairing, but I imagine its a lot more comfortable to ride with one on. It may not be the fastest bike, or most powerful, but its never given me a single problem. Friends may try and diss on it, but I don't have to spend 2 hours tuning it every weekend for one ride.

  • Bought the unfaired version 3yrs ago, it had been outside in the elements all it's life. The previous 2 owners messed with it and left it to rust. Within 1 hour of getting it home I managed to get it running.Painted it and it's never stopped since !Their reliability is second to none. Now I have one, press the button and go, rain shine or snow it keeps going. Dead easy to work on and the parts are cheap and available.Better to ride a slow bike fast rather than ride a fast bike slow.

  • I wish they still made them.

    Long live the airheads!

  • @spartaeus

    We need an acronym: LLTA!
