  • his racket position is poor and his swing is to rigid

  • I think the videos are very useful as is the drill, the footwork on the forehand is at times a little sloppy, but it could just be that he is focusing on the drill and being a bit lazy on the footwork.

  • Very usefull. I'm an intermediate player and have learned that if things go wrong, "return to basics" I see many top players doing basic drills. For those that know better- good luck!

  • I really dont see the point of this drill, as for his technique, he looks extremely stiff and uncomfortable in the clips...

  • The footwork on the forehand is wrong. I hope he is not a qualified England Squash coach....Good Luck !!!

  • Well if it works for you then, why not?

  • The footwork in Squash is crucial to get right, reason being that it dictates the angle of your body, which in turn dictates how you hit the ball...Only trying to help!!!

  • I stand corrected. I tried both styles. Right leg on forehand shot doesn't work well for me. Forehand, left leg, backhand right leg. Work better.

  • You're welcome.

    Good Luck !!!

  • So many armchair experts on YouTube.

  • Would you say i'm entitled to a comment if i'm a qualified Sq coach ???

  • No. You're just some random person with an opinion. This guy on the other hand has actually put a video up and we can examine his technique and listen to what he is saying.

  • In that case, what is your opinion of his technique ?

  • It seems OK, I freely admit I am not an expert, your analysis may be correct but you have no credentials. The videos from Expert Village have been quite useful, unlike a lot of the comments that armchair experts dispense. There was one guy who was trying to compare the tennis serve to the squash serve which even I know is absolute tripe.

  • You're in no position to judge whether i have credentials.or not. Once you begin to get some coaching and advice from competent players you'll hopefully understand my comments on his technique.

  • Says the guy who is looking up videos on how to play squash!

  • Very good lesson. You repeat this action routinely with both closed/open stances (hips) out of necessity in any game. Get these drills down and you can place the ball better after being in a better position!

  • Great videos! I'm also a beginner. These are great drills to get the basic fundamentals before I shell out cash for lessons.

  • This is excellent!

  • Very good drills I am a beginner so this drills are very useful for me.
