  • killzone 2 appears to be like a prequel to timesplitters future perfect

  • killzone is using ragdoll physics mixed with death animations. Also it is using ragdoll physics on living enemies, in example if bullet hits grunts in left shoulder they lean backwards , in right shoulder, they lean right shoulder back. Crysis has better physics engine , but killzone has more life like enemies.

  • they both have their magic.

  • Don't make me shoot down an tree and crush you with it, Oh wait you can't do that in chill zone...

  • Killzone 2= Havok Physics

    Crysis= Cryengine 2 physics

    Ovbiously the winner is Crysis!

  • That's just ragdoll physics. Let's see how you blow up barracks with 80 explosive barrels while jumping over a roof in Killzone.

  • KZ2's graphics looks like the ones you see in CG films. For example : Resident Evil Degeneration.. am I right?

  • @PaulDavidT No game has graphics like the ones in movies, if you compare Avatar movie trailer to Crysis HD videos on youtube you might get impression they are equal. But go to movies and watch Avatar and then compare it to Crysis on highest settings. Movie beats it every time. Crysis might be most graphical game, but movies are far beyond even that. And that Killzone looks like tetris compared to Avatar cinema experience lol.

  • i thought it was bad enough having console fanboys, now they have them for games?

  • crysis is better u stupid fanboy

  • @kornholioa The graphics can fail though if your PC is only up to 2005-2006ish standards or below though, correct? it all depends on your money situiation.

  • bad

  • man I so love Killzone 2 ...

  • Killzone 2: Havok

    Crysis/warhead: Cryengine 2

    Winner: Crysis

  • killzone 2 had more people working for guerilla games, a higher budget and didnt have to worry about making it compatible with all sorts of hardware. plus the death animations are precanned. and those are still some regular looking ragdolls.

but i love both of the games.

  • @ThatGuyInAmerica this is physics comparison not graphics comparison.and graphics of a game don't just mean to look realistic&natural, but it's also about looking beautiful&artistic, not just realistic.

  • The "physics" would have to be scripted. If this game had Crysis' physics and had the same graphics, the entire game would be 5 frames per second.

  • killzone 2 has pretty cool physics but i gotta say i've never really liked the gameplay of it personal preference dont bullshit me on how its the greatest game to date coz its just my opinion

  • you can shoot the head off a dead man

  • Kill zone 3 has full environmental detraction a bit like Red Faction Gurilla.

  • @Wa133D95 lol dude your skills come from a mouse and keyboard why do you think tournaments are there mostly for pc :P

  • @Wa133D95 lol good luck trying to play 1v1 using a controller against someone using a mouse and keybaord. lol noob

  • @Wa133D95 i played killzone 2 for a decent amount of time with friends, game is generic, boring, repetitive, and requires no skill whatsoever. crysis requires skill and if you think its just about "going invisible" then you dont know shit and shouldent talk lol. also, mouse and keyboard is the most effective way to play first person shooters, believe it or not its been proven

  • @vnvxvnv if you think crysis requires skill you are a pc fanboy i am playing it right now and all you do is cloak ,kill a few Koreans when they see you ,cloak and repeat and don't even get me started on the retarded alien ai. crysis warhead was one of my first pc games and i say it is the better game in so many ways.

  • @Trentonater47 the only retarded one is you, if you think crysis is only about cloaking then unisntall the game, its about how you use your abilities as combos. try beating the game on delta and tell me it dosnt require skill. and yeah i kinda meant warhead anyway

  • @vnvxvnv i have beaten warhead on delta and any game on the hardest difficulty requires skill. warhead plays a lot like most shooters such as halo and call of duty. but when i played on normal i never cloaked once but delta forces you to cloak because regular Koreans are stronger you even though you are wearing a super suit. crysis has horrible shooting mechanics and i just got done playing it minutes ago and i died randomly, glitched, and killed hundreds so many times. farcry takes much more

  • @Trentonater47 yeah the game does have its glitches and i find myself dying doing the least dangerous things, like walking into barrels. i dont think that this effects skill but after you patch the game up and everything it should run fine. i also found myself cloaking often in normal difficutly also, but its not just about cloak as i said before you also need to know how to use the other ablilities in the right situations, the game can get pretty intense. its an impressive game regardless

  • @vnvxvnv i always combine when the game is actually being fair. i will cloak move up close to a guy grab him switch to strength melee him and throw him at a group of enemies throw a grenade then speed away. i also love using speed with shotgun

  • @Wa133D95 lol thats prob cus your a noob, game takes time to get good at.

  • @Wa133D95 try playing the game before u talk smack lol, i played both and crysis pwns in graphics and gameplay

  • @Wa133D95

    You said

''for controls the mouse isn't very good''

Are you kidding the mouse is the best FPS controller, everybody knows this but you, well you can have PS3 & 360 controller for crysis on PC if you wan't but it's a major disadvantage, Why do you think Microsoft don't combine Xbox Live & Windows Live. Cause the poor 360 players would suffer from so many headshots in MW2 they'd buy a PS3.

  • @Wa133D95

Wrong, gameplay is better in crysis aswell because it's open/sandbox, you can do missions how you want, KZ2 is confined. Also you can go invisible in crysis and the mouse gives better control. I don't know about story though,

  • @Wa133D95

lol power, Do you know what power is when it comes to the PS3? It's teraflops and my GPU's (HD5870x2) alone beat the PS3's CPU (cell) & GPU (7900GT) by 125%.

Killzone 3 looks about as good as this junk.

  • Why dont you just buy both games?

  • Comment removed

  • @UploaderA noob

  • fuck this music

  • you can't destory a house in killzone 2 :D

  • this game came out after crysis did, so its not really much of a fire comparison. even so, i still think cryysis has better mass physics and can handle much more if done on the right computer

    /watch?v=YG5qDeWHNmk&NR=1

  • @Wa133D95 i think that they said KZ3 is suppose to use 30% more of the card then KZ2 also so who knows what KZ2 used lol

  • @lVleSHuGGA Yeah I think I heard that too but damn so that means it's using 90% of the ps3's power..Naughty Dog said they can still push it more and use full power of the ps3...I can see why Killzone 3 will look superior they got help from naughty dog for their engine

  • The answer to that question would be a no

  • Realistic destructible foilage? Massive sanbox maps? Crytek's engine focuses on way more objects than this "made for console" shit. PS3 would explode and melt if running Crysis on Very High settings.

  • @Chronolyse no it doesnt, i tried it and actually the cd broke :D

  • @Chronolyse actually if you put a PS3 game on the PC the PC the processor would probably blow up since the PS3 is using an advanced processor known as the cell prosessor which is also called the "future of processors" and the PS3 also has 8 of them.

  • @117halo117 Get your facts straight. The PS3 has one Cell. A common misconception is that the Cell is multi-cored... no. It only has one core, with 8 SPEs/SPUs. Even a Core 2 Quad would be more powerful than a Cell. Even at 2.4 GHz. And then, to compare the Cell to a dedicated processor like the i7, would be to compare a pomegranate seed and a grapefruit.

And let's not forget the inferior models such as the i5, yeah, still superior even with 2 cores.

  • @Thek213 well, it has a 3.2 GHz Cell Processor then if uses 1 PPE and 7 SPE's and the chips were in fact designed by IBM for the PS3 now I honestly do not think that an i5 would be ANYWHERE near as capable as handling things put on the PS3 and maybe the i7 since the PS3 is supposed to process data extremely efficiently, now im not saying that the i5 and the i7 cannot process efficiently its just that it doesn't do it as efficiently. look at killzone 2, there are many layers of graphics

  • @PS360PCgaming You're talking about the Cell as it is meant to be implemented... that is, not being held back by any of the other components of the PS3. I believe the reason that Sony isn't giving us their best is because it would be too costly on their part. Up until recently it cost them more to build a PS3 than it cost us to buy one. (Correct me if this still applies.)

  • @PS360PCgaming Cell is a $38 single-core PowerPC-based processor with 512 KB of cache from 2005. Clarkdale-based processors (dual-core i3 and i5 models) run circles around it on everything but floating-point operations (since desktop CPUs don't have parallel SIMD units like Cell does).

So, to put it simply, it's the other way around. Cell is nowhere near being as capable as a dual-core Westmere-based processor with 4.5 MB of cache (Clarkdale). Let alone Lynnfield/Bloomfield.

  • @117halo117 Now don't get me wrong, the Cell does work, and quite well at that. Sadly, it's stuck in a PS3, which means it's being bottlenecked (forced to work at a rate slower than its fullest) by the PS3's crappy GPU.

  • @Thek213 it has 1 core with 6 spu ready to be used.

and the spu cant use ram. only the core can. so its very crappy procesor in mine opinion since the spu cant acces ram.

and the spu cant work by themselves they need the one free core to direct them so that one core cant do anything else then direct the spu

  • @henryhenriquez That's basically it, yeah. And it's sad because we all know that Sony could have done much, much more.

  • @Chronolyse ummmm... i personally think that killzone 2's physics are much better than cyrsis

MY STANPOINT IS BASED ON FAIR UNBAISED JUDGEMENT I OWN BOTH GAMES AND ALL CONSOLES

    Intel core 2 quad @ 2.33ghz

    dual nvidia geforce 9800gt

    8gb ddr3 ram

    600gb harddrive sata2

soo i CAN run crysis on max

  • @dwyane3wade33 Nah, Crysis's physics are dynamic. KZ2 physics are limited to ragdolls and very preset destruction.

  • @RaZoRFinnish i agree with you on the destruction, but the ragdoll and explosion effects on kz2 are better. But i mean how much can a console generate anyways, this is the max.In my opinion, yea there might be better looking games but sony has really created a masterpiece game for console technology and this is the pinnacle of graphics any console has ever seen and to tell you the truth i know if crytek made a new extreme pc game atm it would topple killzone but ps3 is a 4 year old machine so...

  • @dwyane3wade33 Killzone 2 has ragdolls and partially destructible environments, Crysis has fully destructible environments. Killzone 2's is pre scripted, Crysis has procedural destruction. So how the hell can some ragdolls, and half assed destruction beat some of the physics out there?!

  • Fanboys alert, get the fuck off.

  • PS3 sucks!!!!!!

  • Killzone 2 also got the best lightings ever to date. and god of war 3 got the biggest scale. Killzone 3 will be god of war 3 , killzone 2, uncharted 2, compared in term of graphics, AND IN 3D :D

  • @pampampiro big fanboy alert the 3d is probably going to get ditch since its giving them allot of issues to prgram and it will sacrifice detail and allot more. no best lightning to date goes to stalker.

    we have 3d already

  • @henryhenriquez ditch detail? They wouldnt do 3d for killzone 3 if that happened. Killzone 3 is running on the same engine as killzone 2, but with more varied enviorement, like jungles and arctic maps. And stalker sucks hard btw. Ofc you have 3d but is it used normaly in all games? no. bad company 2 supports it right now.

  • @pampampiro its the graphics card that does it most of the time. and go read about 3d how they will have to sacrifice for it on the ps3

  • killzone 2 got better physics, look at crysis, the enemies fly like a bunch of fucking barbie dolls.

  • Wow, all this is is ragdoll physics, almost every game out there now has this kind of physics, the only real diffrence is that it is animation blended with ragdolls, which is still common across most games, and yes, Crysis does it just as well, if not better. Although Killzone 2 on the PC would look incredible if they ported it and upgraded the graphics even more.

  • that game is also better than crysis

  • killzone 2 is the best

  • Comparing a PS3 game with a pc one, real fucking smart. Its obvious Crysis has a Fuckload better physics than any ps3 game.

  • Damn i wish i could play slow mo like this look awesome

  • Killzone 2 is better as i see..... i play crysis and i have ps3 with killzone 2 and i can see that Killzone 2 is better in the physics.... some say that it's not because only that you don't have Ps3 and you argueing about that in another direction..... so Yeah i vote For Killzone 2

  • fear1 owns it

  • not physics but ragdoll effects, yeah they look better, but half life 2 got the best ragdoll effects that I have seen.

  • @raiderqwe not really ,there is like over 9000 of ragdoll glitches in source engine sooo :3

  • @matador470 wow ur an idiot I said they are the still most realistically looking not how many glitches it has, read twice before you post something irrelevant.

  • @raiderqwe great way to argue .calling someone an idiot . So you want to say that stretchable limbs are realistic , and people are randomly starting some kind of mosh pits ?

  • May I point out that Crysis is a game from 2007 and Killzone was made in 2009?

That's a difference of two years..and that makes a hell of difference in terms of game-engine and technologies :D

  • KILLZONE 2!!!!!!

  • no doubt that Killzone 2 has great graphics, but it just can't compete with Crysis tbh

  • i think in terms of ragdoll physics, yes it can

  • Ah... Beautiful isn't it?

  • LMFAO!!!! XD ahhh man

    this made my day

  • This is so called scripted Physics of death. Has nothing to do with how good objects move and break.

    Crysis eats this for breakfast

  • @aXque and killzone eats crysis for lunch

  • @aXque finaly a smart person who realizes the difference between actuall physics and this scripted physics stuff

  • @aXque Yes, crysis does, but most of these aren't scripted. A guy can run in a room, you shoot and kill him and then he falls, and then you shoot his right shoulder while hes on his knees and he reacts

  • @aXque Killzone 2 has many things that are real time and dynamic, and the physics not scripted.

  • @aXque Half-Life 2 already had similar ragdoll physics to be honest, showing death animations like that proves nothing.

  • Haha, the person who wrote this song never ever imagined it being used in this way in his wildest thoughts.

  • hahhaha true

  • @seclairty31 Agreed

  • hahahahahaha

  • Because the ragdolls in Killzone 2 react like they weigh 20 pounds, doesn't make it any more realistic. And I'd like to mention, that the use of ragdolls in Crysis was limited due to german law against interaction with dead human-like people.

  • Haha, Good video.. :P

  • Watch "GTA IV vs Killzone 2 physics" and you'll see that these physics are very over-rated. Graphics are excellent though.

  • This is all ragdoll physics. Crysis' engine is so tweakable that you can easily make the ragdolls like Killzones.

  • All I see in this video is ragdolls, no real physics. Lets see you blow up an entire building (not during a scripted event) in KZ2.

  • killzone 2 in phyics not good (im a ps3/killzone fan) when i throw a grendade at the dead helghast body he move a little not flying all over the place

  • so thats not realistic, a grenade doesn't make you fly 50 feet for real life

  • so you've been hit by a grenade... retard

  • no but thats just the law of pyshics

  • how do u know??

  • because when a grenade explodes shrappel fly's out and just basiclly fly's into and sticks into you,

A game with a good example of what would happen if you got hit with a grenade is cod 4

My dad has been in the military for over 20years and he would know

  • little bits of flying shrapnel aint gonna send a 200lb dead weight flying.

  • and this is exactly the reson why you should mod crysis like mad.

there are hunddreds of physics, texture, performance,ai,andquality mods.

for some reson crytek did not use the full potential of the cryengine. since it was unplayable for almost everyone annyway i see no reson why they didint go balls out on crysis from the beginning

  • that game looks fun. To bad I only have a PC.

  • All you are showing is ragdoll physics. Nothing quite else, Even euphoria has physics enacted on npc's while their alive. Plus do you mean to tell me this is better the crysis. Although frankly if your talking IN-GAME wise then yes, this is much better, crysis physics were horrible. A real physics game requires a real physics engine.

  • It isn't just ragdoll, part of the npc's body goes ragdoll for a split second upon impact, then the body realigns the next, it simulates how the body reacts to various forces applied to it. If someone pushes you, you stagger, then realign yourself. Now imagine this for every single bullet impact for example, its quite impressive.

  • Euphoria really does about the same thing, however this game really doesn't need a physics engine the way a game like is, a game like gta, where you push and shove people, is great to have a engine like that.

  • I find with euphoria its a simplified version of whats going on here. I like how they used it killzone, its kinda amusing.

  • Good to have a conversation with someone who likes the ps3 and isn't screaming how it has BETTASS TECHNOOOOLIGY. Anyway, It is pretty cool, but you can tell they paying as much attention to the physics, mostly because euphoria was designed specifically as a physics engine alone, anyway, its a good physics engine, but euphoria places hundreds on joints on the body and simulates actual bone response's, killzone just does ragdoll physics very well, not an actually thru and thru physics system.

  • very true, the result is subtle. Id like to think the game has some complex physics going on, more so than you would is needed in an FPS game, like how you'll toss a gren, and stuff several metres away blows up, not just objects within a set radius, because the engine will trace the path of particles. I think euphoria MADE gta4 so to speak, its a heap of fun. My one gripe is it can be ridiculous at times. Like how you'll trip over a rock and crumple into a ball, spazing out in the process.

  • Well, yes, theirs much more going on in killzone, much more then you would need for realism, in a futuristic setting, i always found that funny, realism in a fake scenario, anyway, yes, its very hard to say though, because ussualy, its either nothing or overkill, take a engine like havok used in hl2, the ragdoll was great, and the physics were amazing, for 2004, now they seem dated and not very talented, now take something like euphoria, its tried to emulate everything without all knowledge.

  • You think this game needs Euphoria? That would suck...Really! I mean come on! You shot a guy and he falls. You are very excited, "yay, I shot a guy" then suddenly the bastard stands up and shoots at you again. So you shoot again and jump on top of him multiple times so he doesn't stand up. Then you kill his stupid bullet-filled ass! >= D

  • No, i was just comparing the two physics engines, like i said some engines would be more appropriate for different games.

  • god you people are twats. lol.. oooh....my physics is better....no mine is! no, not that the other physics!!...baby jesus says, "SHOT THA FOCK UPPPPPPP!" it's amazing what we can and can't do with our shiny gaming rigs these days. i dress mine up in white cotton panties, a wig, and that's when things get special

  • killzone is like BLACK for ps2 but much better, when you shoot the first time you just want to keep shooting because I can say you can feel the impact of that bullet hitting something, its so cool you just want to keep it going, and in killzone 2 you have enemies anytime, anywhere, thats a real game.

  • Watch the video again and watch how slow the iterations are between each update. Slow for a console with that much computational power.

  • Hey, that's a really great rant just for one video game. Do you feel special now?

  • wats that song. im making a vid and it goes good with it

  • They only allow you to use the lightning gun on 1 map.

  • aw spoils : (

but the flame throwers cool :D

the one thing I hate about this game is that your stuck with a pistol. Have you ever been caught online with just a sniper and pistol? not very fun

  • Crysis is better than kz2 in graphics we all know it. but i have not ever EVER heard ppl brag about the gameplay of crysis. but graphics arent everything look at MGS4 crysis aint got shit on that gameplay

  • Come on people, kz2 is boring people are afraid to say it, i beat kz2 for my friend and the last cutscene was the best part of the game.

I play crysis and the gameplay is very good.

  • kz2 is far from boring man ur on sum hardcore crack naw jk but i dont think its boring

  • It's a generic FPS, if you have played Quake I you have experienced Kill Zone.

  • I tried telling people the same thing about Halo. Look how that turned out.

  • dude, maybe on the pc it's generic,

but on the consoles, killzone 2 is very unique

cod4 is what you call generic(at least on console)

killzone 2 has multiplayer system rarely seen in games on console such as a squad system, tf2 style class system and other things

who ever says it's just a generic shooter haven't exprienced multiplayer

  • yep

  • it doesn't prove it...

  • this is just ragdoll.....and if you slow down crysis it has around the same ragdoll physics

  • hl2 too...

  • true dat this ragdoll stuff isn't that new.

the most entertaining ragdoll has to be in halo 2 when you could blow ppl up then fling their dead bodies into the gravity boosters or whatever they were called and watch dead bodies fly everywhere lol XD good times =P

btw i didn't say it was the best ragdoll effect i said it was the most entertaining =P

  • n00b. only animations are good. pyshics are ten times better in crysis, only a few things are destructable in kz2. I beat the game. i know. crysis on the other hand, nearly EVERYTHING is destructable

  • Just search "Crysis Mass physics"

on here and it will settle this once and for all :)

  • lol how does killzone have better physics, and more so how does this video prove that... in crysis u can flatten a bulding, chop down trees, and flip cars upside down by poppin their tires. i own both games so dont lie

  • Physics. Not Abilities. Retard. < How many people do I need to point out on youtube a day that know nothing...?

  • timma are u mad? im not trying to insult u, ur insulting ur own intelligence, u are aware that by flattening a building im not saying that its a super human ability, im saying that the buildings can be destroyed in crysis which killzone does not, u are truly dumb in the head if u dont know what the definition of physics is. and btw, if u need to point this out to so many people doesnt that tell u something yes thats right, ur wrong, and everyone else is right unless ur actually that closedminded

  • jonathanbain14,

Jonathan, obviously you are the one that is stupid and closed minded if you can't even accept or know a simple Fact. I have no argument I stated FACT here it is again if you want to read. The ability to flatten a building doesn't mean it is a correct calculation of Physics or it's True relation to real life. I rest my case dumbass.

  • If you do not understand what I am trying to tell you, go ask your physics professor at your school and how flatting a building and a limp body have the same accounts for the Same CALCULATION OF PHYSICS. It doesn't matter what the other one can do I am talking about a "Ball" bouncing down a "Stairwell", and a "Ball" Bouncing into a stack of wooden play blocks. THere is NO Difference in Physics between these 2 Actions. NOW LEAVE ME ALONE.

  • i graduated from higher level physics so shhh.... as for that, the ragdoll effects are only animations if u didnt know, but the sheer amount of ram needed to calculate a building shattering into pieces and flying a mile away without any parts dissapearing is staggering!

  • Comment removed

  • ram isnt what calculates that... the processor does...

  • By the way, I am not saying either is better than the other, I am only stating a fact so shut up if you think you have a terrible insult to counter my comment.

  • These are replies to "jonathanbain14"

  • haha i thought this video was a joke at first. crysis would melt a ps3 nuff said. the ps3 fanboys r just happy that they have a good game for once on their system

  • Crysis would melt a PS3? Is that why the CryEngine3 is able to run on both the PS3 and XBOX 360? My God you people are retards.

  • thats the cryengine 3, im talking about cryengine 2, the cryengine 3 for the ps3 and 360 is said to be running the game on low and medium settings with no aa and low resolution. i am able to run the game on high with high resoultion with x4 aa. YES CRYSIS WOULD MELT A PS3

  • Just like any other PC game with bullshit high settings would? You are still a complete retard for comparing two completely different things.

  • they are the same thing, notice the CRYENGINE in it, cryengine 3 is just a mod for 360 and ps3 to run on low settings that the 360 and ps3 can handle.

  • I meant comparing PC games that can run in many different configurations to console games that can only run in one configuration. How much did you spend on your beast of a gaming rig?

  • $1,300

  • And compare that to a $400 console, that's a really big difference. It is quite impressive what a $400 console can do.

  • not really

  • I suspect a spoiled little boy.

  • im 27

  • Thank you for proving my point. :V

  • ur not very smart r ya boy

  • You are lacking a funny bone aren't you? Even if my jokes are bad.

  • just stop really

  • Uh oh. That's a bad thing to say to me.

  • what r u talking about??????

  • Not sure. I can be very complicated on the internet sometimes.

  • yes

  • LMFAO!!!!!!!!

  • and also remember a pc is more than just a gaming machine dumbass. its a workstation also.

  • No shit. When did I say that it wasn't? Oh, and thanks for bringing up a 9 month old topic, faggot.

  • that is where the difference in price lies.

  • Uh okay? Spend 300$ on a computer that you just want to work on. Spend $800 (like I did) on a gaming PC that is obviously built for gaming as a priority. I really don't get your point.
