Xbox 360 Red Rings but still plays? WTF?

sorry about the ubuntu comment, I replied before I researched the xbox 360 and figured out that it runs a modified version of windows xp

see i don't know if i got a good box or what but i have an xbox made at the beginning of 2007 and it has never frozen or get any red lights and when i play it gets played hours at a time. my friend on the other hand went through three xbox elites and the last one he sent in they sent it back to the wrong address and are now blaming him, lol he had nothing to do with it though so i guess im really lucky.

I was also playing GH3 while the RRoD was flashing...eventually it froze after 5 min. or so.

the online guitar hero player was using a modified umbuntau linux system (the core 360 OS) and obtained your 360's ip address and sent you viruses. (he hacked into your 360's os storage area. simply unplug the 360 hard drive and you should bee alright.

lol I remember when my 360 first got the RRoD I opened it up and just cleaned the fans because I didn't have enough tools to remove the heatsink to add some thermal paste to the GPU and CPU. i closed it up and turned it on and it started working but with RRoD :S

I couldnt connect any wireless controllers but I did manage to connect the Rock Band drums :P

so later I turned it off and back on and then it was fine :|

it's been around a week now and everything's running smoothly :)

4 red rings is something is unplugged or has a damaged wire dumby...3 red rings is DEATH but if u vacume the xbox it might fix 1 red ring is Known to be worse..

red ring of death is caused by overheat, simply dont play on ur xbox so much! give it 30min or 15min break after 4 hours of play

Dude, this video is true. For all of you that may think this is fake I was playing with him on XBOXLive in Guitar Hero III Pro-Faceoff. That person that he was talking about playing with happened to be me at the time. I beat him and for some weird reason he randomly told me about this.
