  • wow!! that's great..im still at beginning building red square and circle in VC and openGL..from this i can know how much to learn still..

  • Did you guys create a small surface of the ocean and repeat the pattern? BTW nice job- I am still trying to get vertex blending to work properly using OpenGL and c++

  • It was just a little assignment for an undergrad course, so we tried to keep it simple by animating and rendering a patch around the origin and keeping the camera close to the center.

  • Maybe you could have used just one software program = Blender 3D.

  • Or I could just watch a video of fish schools, either way I'd totally be missing the point of implementing it in C++.

  • haha They are ballsy. If you Google image search "fish school" or watch BBC's Blue Planet you'll see what I mean.

    And waves under water are hard to see because light gets scattered really quickly. That's why I showed a wireframe version halfway through.
