  • Watch ledmissions solar panel Video, its much better

  • @JoelTorre

Me too dude. My first month savings was an

astounding 20%. I installed it myself at home

and in 30days test cycle of w/c ive just received

in my bill from power supply,my bill was lesser

than the previous month.Ive happy to it that I

can save for a larger family or even a commer-

cial property owner. Anyway, your site name was

    spelled wrong. That should be:

    GreenEnergyNow.info

  • Thanks. Great video

  • where did you get those bulbs? because i would really like to know for my flashlight project

  • WHAY HAAAAY Dan Rohas : )

  • Hey how long can you run a 2 watt LED on a 12 volt deep cycle battery before the battery is completely dead? or how many amps per hour would a 2 watt led use? ruffly speaking? Thanx Dale...

  • @thinkford Just do the math.

    Power = Volts * Amps so Amps = Power/Volts.

    I=2/12 = 0.1667 A.

  • UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • ive taken a 7.2 rechargeable battery and a 3.8 watt solar panel to power two light in my room is that acceptable? how long do you think it will take the solar panel to recharge it?

  • whats the brightness of these led bulbs? (lumen)

  • @DeviloftheHelll They can reach 60 Lm/W for the warm white(3000K),can instead 15-20W incandescent light .and the quality has become more stable after a long time

  • whats the brightness of these led bulbs? (lumen)

  • so where r u from dan? seems like its always cold, i would guess canada?

  • what brand are they?

  • hi, we have been looking at ideas to build a outdoor light suitable for camping that will light up an area out side tents(better that garden lights) using the sun during the day and providing light at night. also to create a light that can be charged by the sun during the day that can be attached to a tent roof to provide a night light inside the tent for the kids. would this sort of panel work for that or could you provide any ideas.

  • This would be a great way to illuminate caves during the daytime at no cost except the original expense. Also to illuminate dark rooms and cellars at no cost except when very cloudy or at night. Of course batteries could supplement for those occasions.

  • AWESOME remote control leds!!!!

  • what size battery would it require to hold enough charge to keep those two lights on for 8-10 hours..

im guessing the panel hooked to the battery and strait to the lights wont need an inverter, correct me if wrong!?

  • You have a source for the panels since you priced them? Make, Model and distributors.

    Nice vids btw.

I don't know what I'd do with a color LED with a remote besides making a Jumbotron in that backyard for movie day. He he. Trying to save money not throw it away.

  • @mykol13v Deal extreme has something similar if I'm not mistaken:)

  • @aczeclipse Did low power indoor LED lighting popular or will more easy to be acceptable by the customer? if it's true,i would like to make some sample for you to make a test!

  • great work as allways. i am also interested in were to find thes LED bulbs been looking for a few days cant seem to come up with them.

  • @labeledsk8r45 I think Deal Extreme has both the led bulbs :)

  • where did you get the cool led light with the remote?

  • to have a first solar power unite do you have a list to get started with some coust ??

  • were do you get them at?

  • The Light out put by spectrum intensity of an LED diode,is capable of higher spectrum light radation, than the Solar radation, needed to power it,Not crap! phisics! You go look up Effishancy!

  • "The Light out put by spectrum intensity of an LED diode,is capable of higher spectrum light radation, than the Solar radation, needed to power it,Not crap!"

If you don't believe me, try it. Even if the panel converted 100% of the sunlight to electricity (world record is about 40%) and the leds converted 100% of that electricity into light (maybe up to 85%), you'd still only get the same energy out as you put in.

With real (<100% efficient) components, you'd waste 70% of the power each cycle.

  • Hey there Dan, I would be interested in finding a couple of those remote controlled LED lights used in this video. Are you willing to share your supplier?

  • actually i just figured that a mdi air car engine for use at night coupled with a solar panel and compressor could beat the cost of Batteries!!

  • Dan what is the life span of a good solar panel?

  • I see what you mean, never thought of that, my idea was the pressure is released at the bottom in an enclosure, thus the water level will drop at the top, wich can be refilled using another tank above the main tank, which is filled during the day with solar power. I'm trying to find a way to get power at night without batteries!!!

  • think of this dan, a very heavy weigh rises slowly in a tower filled with water, when it reaches the top, it falls in the air generating power, the only problem is hgow to get the object back into the bottom of the tower, as there will have to be some pressure loss, ie water.

possibly a solar panel pumping water into a higher water storage tower during the day !!!?

  • "a very heavy weigh rises slowly in a tower filled with water"

Unfortunately, to get the weight into the bottom of the water (even with a perfect and frictionless valve and no pressure loss) you will have to displace all of the water upwards (the water level rises when you put something in the bottom) and lifting the water will take more power than the buoyancy can generate.

For more details about that sort of thing google 'Donald Simanek'.

  • "possibly a solar panel pumping water into a higher water storage tower during the day "

Yes, and then let it run down through a turbine. That would work. It's called pumped storage hydroelectric when it's used large scale. Compressed air is also a possibility, or even a large flywheel.

  • LOL The green white green order of the storage boxes on the high shelf hand me thinking you had some Heathkit equipment hiding out up there. But I guess not.

  • Wow imagine the great high power spot you could make with a lot of those..and how little energy it would cost!

  • come hook up my house xD .... if not, send a list of items, cost and location of sale : /

  • Did i hear that right? 6$ for these LED lights? Where can i get these? Here in Europe you pay 40€ for such a lamp.

    I really enjoy your videos.

  • Have you tryed regenertive loop? power from one pannel running the lights that power the second pannel? the idea is like the way power is boosted in a spark coil in an automobile.

  • "power from one pannel running the lights that power the second pannel?"

Research the meaning of the word "efficiency".

"like the way power is boosted in a spark coil in an automobile"

The power is not boosted, the voltage is, with a corresponding reduction in current (amperage) and a slight drop in power because they're less than 100% efficient, like all machines.

  • thanks downer...i bet one day you'll save this world

  • Science is working out what is possible. That is the Method.

    Quit being so pessimistic.

  • . But done with light.

  • @wickedweekend Yes, but slow. The 7ah batteries charge well, these will charge any 12v battery. I would suggest a CHARGE CONTROLLER, even though they are not powerhouses, these panels can overcharge a 12v battery over a few days if you forget, trust me:-)

  • Thanks. I will start making my project soon.

I will power my Water Fountain Pump With A solar panel and a battery resovoir. Hope It works. I will post up.

  • Can you tell me where I can get 6w panels for $20.00??

  • @gvvs2 The ones on Ebay are gone now. The only auctions are currently $34.99 "6 watt solar panel"

  • @gvvs2 Hi ,i would like to offer some info if you still need panels or other LED lighting ,they may like the style in your county,

  • $17 is a nice price to try them out, where can you get them for less then $20

  • @snarfdwarf The ones on Ebay are gone now. The only auctions are currently $34.99 "6 watt solar panel"

  • @snarfdwarf go to lowes

  • Comment removed

  • That's pretty cool.

Another type of LED lighting I have seen is automotive lighting.

I have an LED strip light that replaces fluorescent tube lighting. The maker claims it is "as bright as a 60W bulb", but I think it is actually brighter. I think it's designed for internal lighting in a bus or something.

  • Yeah, that's the standard package I think we should already be using extensively. Not enough people know, which prevents wide spread usage of this technique. They just don't think about it, it's easy to just keep using what we have and watch Idol and Dancing with the Stars.

  • Thanks Dan,

Please make a video about the connections and electronics needed to make this work with the wind power and some batteries to be able to really power a house...

  • keep up the awesome work!

  • 1kw -2kw of th grid setup i wanna see

no kids toys like this lds and setup

  • @ABOSOLUTEKNOWLEDGE

Most people can't afford the big installations yet, so this is a good way to start. Other then that it is important that the public can see and learn that solar energy is useful for big parts in the world and that it will pay itself back at places with the right conditions. I like people who put a lot of free time, energy and money into making these kind of videos. People like Dan and Denise are doing great work, maybe you should sponsor them so they can show what you like?

  • wow that 6w for17% that 3$ per watt

  • Over what period of time did you calculate the exact costs?

How long do you think that the modern day solar panels will last? According to a professor in the Netherlands they will last for about 30 years, and the costs of a complete system will be payed back in about 10 years. And that is in the Netherlands, even with a lot of cloudy days with rain. I believe the professor who is also a former astronaut from the space shuttle and a multiple winner from the solar challenge race in Australia.

  • it is up front cost . I divided 17 by 6 and rounded up.

  • did you get those lights at IKEA ?

where could I get the supplies I see in this vid ?

  • I didn't think you could even buy a coat that heavy in Florida.

  • Thanks

  • Using the power of the sun to light your room. Pretty cool, but a window might be more efficient. :-)

  • haha but hey, it would be pretty good at getting light to areas that dont have windows, like poorly lit basements and such =)

  • Yes that is true...LOL but at night you need batteries, and the sun will charge them during the day with the solar panel.

  • Thanks Dan love your videos. Thanks for showing them. I would love to get off the grid .PlumberX.

  • Where can I get one of those panels? Harborfrieght has 5w for $40

  • Thanks Dan these will work great in the subterranean Green house I'm working on. would they work in series after a dusk to dawn light mmmmm? I'm trying to set up a LED grow light system with automatic turn on as we loose allot of the grow day in the winter here in Pa.

Keep feeding the thinkers as we shoot for green power.

  • that is so cool,, love it, i wanna go solar sooooo bad!!

  • Sweet eh? just fabulous

  • Good stuff Dan! Keep up the good work!

  • 5 stars.

  • BURRRRRRRRRRR, You look cold.

  • where can i find the solar panel you mentioned on this video?

  • I hardly ever comment but I always watch and I always learn something new. Thanks for posting these.

  • @onlywhenprovoked Stalker :op

Good to see you Bro, Same here on watching him. Green is the way to go now a daze. =)

Hope you are doing well haven't kept up with this place much Lately.

  • Hangin' in there. I hope you're well, too.

Yeah, I'm pretty much obsessed with tech these days.

Green power, microcontrollers, all things hackable. Always trying to expand on my electrical engineer non-degree. Learning useful stuff is a good way to cope with the things you can't control :)

I just saw a story you might like.. google "electric delorean".

  • leds w/ remote damn keep on rawking

    ★★★★★

  • where can i get these bulbs?

  • Add in friends pls me pls pls pls pls pls man

  • :) I like! This is exactly what I eventually would like to have after we finish our basement. Something small and simple for starters. I think it's a wonderful idea for my laundry room. Thanks!

  • YT glitch for now CLICK THE HQ BUTTON TO LOAD if error occurs.

  • not loading. :(

  • @TaylorHolmes click off of HQ

  • Hey Dan, luv the video's. Those LED light are great. I really appreciate the fact that you mention the cost of these items.

  • Those lights are pretty cool. I don't know what I would do with them, but I'd like some...
