@darlingsapphire1 Thank you for your concern about the Zoo's animals. That is my number one concern, also. And I do agree with you about the necessity for compassion toward all living creatures. If I ran a zoo, teaching people, especially children, to love and respect ALL living creatures would be my Number 2 priority after Number 1, providing a wonderful life for all the animals. I do believe the Philadelphia Zoo does Number 1. But it may not be achieving Number 2.
@darlingsapphire1 You can find me on Facebook. I comment regularly on the Philadelphia Zoo's Facebook page, and lots of other zoos' Facebook pages, too. My reasons for recording videos, and my email address are shown on my YouTube channel profile. All I need from you is a link to a website or wherever your research is published and an email contact in case I have questions. Please do not send attachments to my email address (I never open them, no matter who sends them.)
@darlingsapphire1 Please let me know where the results of your research published. I am very interested in seeing the facts you gathered and the method by which you reached your conclusions.
I am a very compassionate and empathetic person with a lot of common sense that got me
into trouble at the zoo where I did my independent study, yet the zoo corrected their wrongs
when I told them, but it hurt their pride.I have been caring for animals for fifteen years, and in
the process of writing two books, one on felines and one on gorillas.Everything I seen that was
wrong turned out true, then I began predicting -true again.Without compassion one cannot
empathize with another being.

I did see one of your videos inwhich a silverback was able to munch on shrubbery / bushes
in the outdoor enlosure while a younger gorilla picked some and ran off. This looked quite
normal and healthy to me, yet there should be much more tall edible plants outside to munch
on and for privacy so there's little chance of the gorillas becoming exasperated by the noisy
onlookers. I like the idea of a hill for more exercise. Philly has very handsome and beautiful
looking gorillas.

Yes, I can most certainly do that, but I would like to know who I was giving this info to other
than zoovisitormm. You take very good videos of the zoo animals. I too have done the same.
I try to film on a naturalistic basis - no fences, no water moats. Send me a photo of yourself
and your email address, if you care to..I am harmless by the way.

Think what you like but I am correct. I have done a five year independent study on a group
of gorillas.

This is not funny, this behaviour is due to stress and/or wanting to block out unpleasant
sounds. So what you think is comical, it is not for the gorilla, or other simians.

@darlingsapphire1 I don't think your interpretation of this behavior is correct at all.
