i am going to say that skelter herlter has a lot more personallity than cloud but has less backstory (we sont really know much of his brother either) compared to cloud BUT the MAIN characters of one final fantasy back has a lot of trates making her (yes a she) a better character than cloud

@mehmarcus1995 Actually, there is backstory to Helter-Skelter and Skelter-Helter if you've read the No More Heroes Erotica Comic that was included with the NMH2 Hopper Edition Boxset (released in Japan only). In the comic, it explains how Skelter-Helter was a scholar attending university, of which his older brother was paying for with his assassin money. When Skelter-Helter found out his brother was killed by Travis, Slyvia seduced him into becoming an assassin like his brother for revenge.
