the reason why the generic ice-cream is more like mousse (spelling) is because first of all the dont use natural ingredients. thats one way to save money. the other thing they do is that they fill the ice-cream with air to save even more money by making it seem like a lot of ice-cream but its not. if youve ever eaten cheap ice-cream and sort of mushed it together, it will almost always lose a lot of volume.
I buy blue bunny most of the time when I get ice cream. I feel I can afford that and it's better then the store brand. It's like middle of the road. I probably never would find that gelato but I would definitely be open to the opportunity to taste test it!
where i live the generic brands sell alot faster because of the prices are so high ($5 to $7 for the size in the video) but I tend to get some of the better grade icecream flavors , around the fall I try some of the odd flavors like pumpkin (which I like alot) , any new flavors I see on the shelf I try them too
interesting. But you have to keep in mind some people have different taste bud's so some of those might taste awful to some and some it might taste awesome.
@dynamitecandyman I'm glad you did too! Sorry for the length but it was cut down from an hour long segment. New episodes will be back to the 5 minute length
I wish you guys got some like Breyers or hagen das or another high quality actual ice cream. Cheaper ice cream usually taste like its loaded with sugar.
Another thing to consider is the actual weight versus volume. Some icecreams have a lot of air whipped into them. I think some brands are labeled premium just to command higher prices.

I didn't watch the 24 hour thing. How did your stomach hold out for the rest of the show? Did you take some lactaid or something?
TonyWoW01 1 year ago 3
@TonyWoW01 The stomach gave me some issues around 6AM and that is with heavy doses of every type of antacid etc. Just a ton of food...
