  • Western people think Eastern people are robots, Eastern people think Western people have inconsistent forms. Deal with it.

  • Why the hell they make video's like they are a freaking robot ??? i dont get it .. act normally WTF?

  • it's to show the mechanic of the movement, not to show how they can do it better than everybody else

  • the hell? they are'nt robotsss, they are trying to demonstrate lessons to u dude. slowly so u can see it better.

    you're mean

  • @ShahrukhOLTMusic

Robot. come to think of it hahahaaha

  • The brand is Talbot Torro

  • ..M 21 now and good in badminton ,I m willing to make badminton as my carrer because I love badminton and totally addicted to it ..Is there any age bar ?

  • what raquet brand?

  • Well as you can see there is some sort of T shape on the strings. Which means I have no idea lol

  • I have to learn this until whole day cuz i have a competition tomorrow

  • any suggestions?i've got a tournament this friday, and im really bad at badminton, my basic totally su c ks. but i can play well in tennis and pingpong, so any idea on how to related tennis skill and pingpong skills into badminton?

  • i'm like the best at badminton in my school and they wouldn't let me on the team because some fatass never made and they wanted to let him

  • well then u obviously arent the best

if u were, ur school would drop someone else to let u in

  • I go to his, school, I was that fatass that beat him and got on the team

  • i don't understand any Korean at all... but like my dad taught me... just look at the motion of the body and the racket and u can understand... very simple!

  • That dude has really really nice calves!

  • its not tennis....its badminton :)!

  • me going to whack my friends with that teknik !

    thanks from malaysia !

  • it would be nice if this can be subbed or dubbed.

  • hum i dont have any english subs for this, there are a few chinese videos out there that are subbed however. this is demonstrating what is ment by forehand shot and backhand shot.

  • nice backhand i think i would try that out at the court

  • his backhands would be better if complimented starting with inward twist then outward twist while the arm is raised

  • idiot.. badminton is.. i think you should do your research properly. the shuttle goes Way faster than the ping pong ball does.

  • I play tennis junior at quite a high level and i generally play a little bit of badmington so I can assure you of one thing. Badmington smash and a tennis serve is extremely similar.

  • can this be the same for tennis?

  • eh not really tennis has different stroks some are the same concept but the technical skills behind them are different, so best to find some demos for tennis than try and learn it from badminton. dont want to hurt yourself or hamper your preformance.

  • similar of course. But definitly not the same. Tennis needs much more power and ball is a lot faster than a shuttlecock.

  • I would say that the power is coming from somewhere different (the wrist) rather than there is a difference in power. Also, badminton smashes have been clocked at over 300km/h, much more than the current tennis serve record at 250km/h.

  • yeh that correct.. bady is the fastest racket sport. bady uses wrist, tennis uses whole body and arm. n need more momentum than badminton does because the ball/racket is heaveier

  • who cares its all oriental

  • i can u undastand the chinese?

  • its korean not chinese

  • no problem, will do what i can

  • the shots that they play at 2:30 are not overhead clears at all, in a proffesional game that would be killed straight away

  • they key here is more to show the technique rather than pushing them all the way to the back, cause if you dont have the right technique you wouldnt be able to clear to the back anyways and anything you cleared would get smashed right back. Technique is so key so is footwork.

  • then they shuld do a clear rally not a half court rally because then you can see how much power you need to put into it to get it to the back

  • you dont need to put power into it at all, i can stand at the back of the court, throw up a shuttle, hit it using the right technique not alot of power at all and still clear it to the back of the court. You dont need much power to clear at all. Might not be the best videos but they still help others who dont have the privlage of training under international players, im lucky to be able to train under some but others arnt.

  • i play with england u15 no.1 sumtimes and he still needs to put a little bit of power into it to get it to the back, and the best way to learn is not by watching a video but by practising and finding sumwhere that has a decent coach to teach you one of the simplist shots

  • i can agree with you but not everyone has the ability to go pay for coaching, here to get coached can be quite expensive, im in u19 and have trained under kyle foley, greg bury, alex pang, etc, but getting coached does cost alot.

  • U need to practise all the grips and techniques u a are introduced to and u`ve bess using yourself, the time time will come soon u realize which is the best technique for u

  • i dont know about poor, thats a pretty similar technique which is taught to young starting players all ove rthe world. It has been modified from counrtay to country and coach to coach but still relatively the same idea.

  • sorry dont have any english subs for it. and well no translator on hand.

  • if bringing the racket behind your head consumes that kind of energy for you, that is just.. can you survive playing this sport

  • i wish there is a single version of this..:(

  • The main reason though for doing it in general, you want all you shots to look the same if you only do it for your smash which your saposto then your opponent will be able to ready you so forehand clear, smash, and drop all have to look the same.

  • From that form that is taught at national training centers and from international players as well they will all say to make sur eyou get your racquet behind your head.

Caster691; yes I do put it behind my head and i get the power but can also do either a smash or drop from the same position...and it doesnt waste any energy for me.

  • watch the international players and you will see that many of them do this, ex fu hi fang of china and he gets massive power from this him and cai yun do.

  • This is a good video. You don't have to understand Korean. Just watch the technique. Very informative!

  • What do you mean its been "completly exceeded of 15 years ago..." theres no way it has been cause thats the technique the basis of the game and if you watch in training all over the world its the exact same with some minor modifications made to it for that country. But that is the correct technique amd is uptodate.
