i am getting my braces off in 3 weeks (hopefully) and i desperatley want to know how it feels during getting them off, does it hurt when they tug at the brackets to get them off your teeth? How does it feel once they are off? Do your teeth feel as slimey as everyone says, Do you feel like your teeth look abit big? And also what do the retainers feel like, do they feel abit painfull? particularly the Essix retainer? would appreciate it if someone replyed to me in good detail PLEASE :) xx

@zoebrown15x it feels like some tugging when u get them off and its a little uncomfortable. the only bad part is when they take off the cement but it doesnt hurt much at all!! it feels amazing, smooth, and slimy!! they do look big but they will look so pretty!! i got my braces off last week and my retainer today, it feels a little sore and i do talk funny but that went away. good luck and congrats on almost being done with braces!!!

BUT THE OTHER METAL ISH PARTS THAT SIT ON YOUR TEETH STAYS SITTING AND ITS JUST THE FRONT PART THAT'S OFF. AND IT HURTS MY GUMS SO FRICKEN MUCH SO I PUT HELLA PRESSURE ON IT MY RETAINERS IN THIS CASE AND IF I KEEP DOING IT MY RETAINERS MIGHT BREAK O-O

here's a quieston, I got my braces removed today [w00t finnaly!] and I was suposed to get my retainer, however, it didn't fit, so we have to come back sometime next week, is it possible for my teeth to move since then? I'm afraid of the next one not fitting them having to go back to getting braces on me again T_T

@andrewneka1 hey ...umm i got braces and it doesnt hurt when they put them on..but like the 2nd, 3rd and possibly 4th day might bother you and hurt..but you just have to listen to what your ortho says:)

Ugh. Forever, it seems like. That is, if you don't want your teeth to move. Some orthodontists say just 30 minutes to an hour a day will keep your teeth in place. I wish I would have listened. Mine started to move and now I have to pay $320 to get new retainers.

Yeah, they let you choose. Some offices even have little designs (like lady bugs or lightening bolts) that they can add.
