  • Has anyone else seen My Reincarnation? ‘Khyentse’ was the name of one of the main character’s reincarnations in that film. The idea of the application of universal ideas to help others really comes across in that film bitly . com / uIr2nk

  • @arrowtotheknee89 yes....wonderful film..it was about the life of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu

  • @Inoitspointless maybe! nor do I wish to be 'right in the head' to fit your perspective. otherwise I would be spreading degrading comments much like you are. thanks for that! in kindness.

  • RARE JEWEL! REJOICE REJOICE REJOICE! MAY ALL BENEFIT!

  • The video is very inspiring. i love Dorjee Shugden and revered him a lot based on own experiences, but at the same time i appreciating every aspect of Buddhism and their great masters. We all have to unite and spread buddha dharma like never before through education and meditative experience derived out of it.

  • I can't Stop crying every time I watch this video. thank you so much for uploading this. May your merit benefit all sentient beings and spread of compassion and buddhism to all

  • u westerners pls try to be precise with your information ...giving false info is very dangerous and delusional...buddha was from sakya clans basically from newari clans which belonga to nepalese ethnic community...

  • to the narrator - u sound a good source of buddhism knowledge but at the mean time how come u not know tht Prince siddhartha Gautam was born in Nepal not in

India ??? he got enlightened at India Doesn't mean tht he was bron there. Kapilvastu, Lumbini is the place he was born at n The very place is in Nepal not in India.

  • @garfuguy the Narrator is Richard Gere's

  • how can u make a documentary when u r not even aware of the fact that siddhart was prince of small district in nepal n not india..please gather precise knowledge before u profess a false info...

  • I was there. In 1991 I had the unbelievable good fortune to receive a blessing as Khyentse Rimpoche left the empowerments in Dharmsala.

  • gere is such an idiot

  • Hey, that's a very good sign of karma connection, you definitely have some unknown connection through the world of Buddha drama, which u have possible experienced in in the past life. i have seen many non believer crying when they hear the pujas and chanting.

  • When I see images of this area of the world I literally shed tears of joy and my whole body is immersed in pulsations. I wish to find out why...

  • @americanempireprojec

I'll tell you why your whole body is immersed in pulsations and you lterally shed tears of joy when you see images of Tibet....Because you are an emotional wreck, that's why.

It isn't a good sign that you have no control over yourself in that way. It means you are unbalanced. No offence, but you need to relax and become a bit more grounded.

  • @smrndoff This was an unnecessary comment. Some people simply have a great profound faith - it's something that someone who has never had a personal experience of can sneer at, but ultimately, this derision points to a lack of passion and also respect. I don't know, but your mother probably told you once "if you have nothing good to say, say nothing", and that's wisdom to live by.

  • @smrndoff thanks so much for your comment. after all what's being in control? observing things as they really are, or suppressing your emotions? no answer needed. it's just a rhetorical question. in kindness.

  • In Buddha's time, the political boundaries of India and Nepal were not what they are today.

  • Ki ki so so lha gyal lo tak seng khung druk di yar key!!

Ki Ki So So: "Yee Haw!" (Basically, a phrase that just generates energy)

Ashe: this is a word Trungpa Rinpoche added to the traditional chant, as far as I can discover

Lha Gyal Lo: "Victory to the gods!"

Tak Send Khung Druk: "Tiger, lion, garuda, dragon" -- the four dignities of Tibet, each representing a different quality worth cultivating

    Di Yar Kye: "gather together!"

  • Buddha was not born in India, But he was born in Nepal. He was enlighted in India, Bodhgaya. If you still think he was born in India, then you must visit Nepal, Lumbini, the birth place of Lord Buddha.

  • At the time I think india may have been much larger, it could be more reference to the time not the place

  • buddhism was born in india.

  • Lumbini was part of India at the time of his birth. But, is now in Nepal.

  • @rybpo7 let me be politically correct n m nt tryin to outsmart u ...there was no such thing as nepal or india if u pry into history, these whole sub continent was divided into small kingdom, fragmented n territorial. it was later, when akbar, who united all those framented kingdom to a present nation(india) n tried to do same by extending territory where nepal is today but in vain...so please stop preaching false message when u r not too sure:-))

  • HH Sachen Gyaltsap, who is this Holy Lama? I want to know more about Him.

  • Heartfelt gratitude and respect for your film about Tibetan culture and its very great wisdom lama tradition as exemplified in sublimely kind and wise Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche.

  • Morrink - your "so called" facts. . . mmn - lets call them by their proper name - judgement, prejudice and ignorance.

It is not a question of who you love but do you love?

Is love something you acquire? Is love something you produce? Is love something that you have?

Or - Is love something that has you?

Like love, enlightenment is rooted in soil of innocence,

not in judgement, prejudice and ignorance.

    Wake up!

  • Why are you unhappy?

Because 99.9 percent of everything you think, and of everything you do, is for yourself—and there isnt one.

    -Wei Wu Wei

  • very beautiful

  • Maybe my spelling is bad, why you even mentioned that proves that Im right. Deep inside you suffering big time for beeing gay. I feel sorry for you.

  • Enlightenment is not dependent upon homosexuality or heterosexuality. It is dependent upon incredible amounts of virtuous activity through the three doorways. Body, speech, and mind. Weather you have relations with men or women is no matter. It is your intention that moves the stream not the splashing on the surface. A homosexual can get enlightened just as fast a heterosexual. Homosexuality could be from bad karma the same way hetrosexuality could. It depends on the individual.

  • Yes, your desire for want to having sex with a man is a result of bad karma. And I dont have incredible stupidity and callousness (are we prejudice or what!). But I thin that I have unlike you- common sense and logic. To consider homosexuality something disturbed and abnormal got nothing to do with emotional hysteria like you are showing. Its just basic fact. Maybe you dont choice to be gay, but to involve yourself with homosexual activities is your own choice.

  • Sorry if saying other Sangha members are friendly to them sounded condescending. They are not seperate to us and on the margins and condescended to, they are among us, our friends, treated on equal terms.

I don't think homosexuality is specifically dealt with in Buddhist scriptures, and in the Tibetan tradition attitudes must vary. Chogyam Trungpa appointed a gay man as his Dharma heir, and as I say there's no problem for gays in my Sangha. I doubt the DL said going to hell; your source?

  • My source is searching google for Dalai Lama + homophobia or gay rights or gay marriage. Read the articles that come up. One is about a meeting that occurred in San Franscisco with gay activists several years ago.

  • Goldenbindu you are lying big time, HDL has never ever stated anything homophobic. To be a homophobic is to have a pathological phobia against gay people, and HDL has not. What he has stated very clear and calm is that the homosexual act is not natural, just that and nothing more. And homosexual acts are not normal, to state that is not homophobia! You are phobic against people who stand up for tradition and virtue and the laws of nature.

  • You are also homophobic. Your Buddhism has not bestowed upon you wisdom. In that interview, DL's TONE conveyed the sting of superiority & sarcasm, suggesting that straight sex was more "normal" - as if sex was analogous to plumbing. I have news for you: gay love embraces, and takes place within, Sacred Reality. Furthermore, bigoted, uninformed views are often expressed in, as you say, "clear and calm" speech. Any kind of misinformation about gay consciousness often contains implicit homophobia.

  • You are homosexual because bad karma. Nature dont want you to reproduce, you can whine a moan how much you want as a crybaby, but you can´t change nature. Be gay as much as you want, but if you feel sexually aroused by a mens rectum dont take for granted that people will bless it, certainly not oceans of wisdom and societies who has practiced the dharma for thousands of years.

  • I am homosexual because of "bad karma," but what do you suppose gives rise to your incredible stupidity and callousness - good karma?

  • Yes, good karma, called wisedom. I feel sorry for you. You need to restrain your disire for having sex with men. You need to meditate and confront yourself. Heavy smookers and drugaddicts have stopped their destructive path after insight meditation. Try it.

  • Bigots can also change, even Buddhist bigots like yourself. Second, please learn how to spell, you really come across as quite unlearned (i.e.,stupid). I've usually found Buddhists to be intelligent people, with you as the exception. It's hard to believe you've meditated even one day in your life. You sound more like a reborn evangelical from Texas than a Buddhist practitioner. At this point, you should back off and go lick your wounds. Don't write to me anymore.

  • Goldenbindu, when your ego is attacked you show that you are not a good and hard practising buddhist you just want people to be and think like you, thats ego and very unskilled.

  • I am not a Buddhist at all! Are Buddhists like yourself so filled with preconceptions? Why did you write to me? You are obviously reacting to my comments, none of which were even directed to you. So you are, in fact, reacting from your own threatened ego. Is that "skillful" for a Buddhist? I sensed no compassion whatsoever in your comments, whereas, even when I am angry, it is rooted in deep compassion, even when I rightly call people like "morrink" jerks.

  • Too bad that Tibetan Buddhism is still homophobic. This bigotry is damaging to those spiritually inclined gays who want to lead respectable householder lives in the Buddhist community. It's suprizing that any form of bigotry or prejudice survives in 21st century Buddhism. Bigotry brings great suffering to its victims! Prejudice and bigotry are, in essence, forms of hate. Too bad all forms of hate are not seen as part of the ignorant mind and transcended through Buddhist meditation practices.

  • All forms of hate ARE seen as emotional defilments arising from ignorance about the true nature of reality. There are a few gay people in the lay Tibetan Buddhist community of which I'm a part and our Lama shows them as much love as anybody else and people are friendly to them. If you really see the need to practice and the peciousness of the Dharma, please don't let these concerns get in the way of your path to enlightenment.

  • It's not enough to be "friendly to them." That's extremely condescending. The Buddhist community must not merely tolerate gays. They should stand up for their civil liberties. We are not pets needing affection. We are a brutally victimized people needing the true compassion of societal equality. The Dalai Lama MUST turn 180 degrees, encouraging gays to have monogamous, loving relationships, not tell them they are going to hell for their intimate sexual relationships. HE SHOULD KNOW BETTER!

  • I can't thank you enough for this great video. It is inspiring and beautiful. Thank you again.

  • Dilgo Kyentse was real a great master. Thanks for aploading this amazing film.

  • akasha samurai,,

  • I don`t think that there are superfluous things at all. Beutyfull things cannot be superfluous. At least not for me... But thank you for your oppinion.

  • What did the Buddha ask of his body after his passing in the Maha Parinibbana Sutta? The Buddha was not against ritual, he was against meaningless ritual that was performed to gain liberation through the ritual itself. He even mentioned in a certain Pali sutta (I'm very sorry, I'll find the reference) that if a tribe maintained their former shrine, worldly prosperity would continue. The end of the video shows perfection of the wisdom aspect, but when is the compassion aspect cultivated?

  • Buddha was not just your limited understanding. Universe is very complex. Mere followers of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche could leave footprints in hard rock and much more. Don't assume you know everything. You know nothing my friend.

  • Thank You friend :-)

  • Thank you whith all my heart for this videos. The oportunity to see Dilgo Khyentse Rimpoche, remind me the path that i must never forget.

  • Thank you so much Fayuyang for taking the time for uploading this video

The Khyentse Rinpoche is such an excellent teacher :-)

    Namasté from Anna

  • The video is great but the information is falsified.Buddha was not an Indian prince , he was a Shakya prince(shakya being the clan of Buddha) who was born in Lumbini in a country then called Kapilvastu which is North of India and the present day Nepal.

  • Yes, that's correct

    Thank you:)

  • Modern countries are a recent invention so are their borders. Various historic Himalayan principalities are considered Indian. For example Pakistan/Bangladesh (moslem India) are only 60 years old. These labels are superficial. Cultures matter.

  • @fayuyang but there was no india or nepal at that time, this was previous to nationalism... I sympathize with the filmmakers who are trying to make this comprehensible to a modern audience, rather than using the word 'falsify' ...

  • @razeshanselmo and fayuyang: aha! so Buddha was not Indian??? wow that's like chinese claiming ladakh and arunachal pradesh!! :-D. please note that the present day sri lanka, pakistan, bangladesh and nepal were all part of india!! Anyways.. it doesn't matter if Buddha was born in new delhi, beijing or jerusalem so long as his teachings are made use of the right way!!! thanks for the vid. on Dilgo Rinpoche!! :-).

  • @razeshanselmo > He was a Shakya Prince, and you can say an Indian Prince also. Because it was in north of India.

  • thanks so much for uploading all clips, fayuyang
