  • Great Video, This is been my problem, I know HOW do do it, I just have a problem DOING it. I have joined a gym, and have gone 5 days a week, I still struggle with making the healthiest choices with food but I am trying, and fortunately have my husbands support. Also had to go back on birth control to help control the PCOS. But good luck to you!!

  • @Mandalark Weird they changed the comments. I haven't been on birth control for the past few months, since roughly October. I have PCOS too, and it helps me stay regular, but I just hate taking the damn thing. Not to mention, my health coverage stopped when I turned 24 in January. My fiance and I need to get married or something, so I can get his insurance. LOL

Anyway - its all a choice. I'm not trying to be perfect, just healthy. That doesn't require perfection.

  • @CutTheFat Yeah, The worst part about the birth control for me was that we wanted to start trying to have a baby. I am very worried that I am infertile with all my ovulation issues.. So hopefully being on birth control and getting to my goal weight of 150 (70 lbs to go..) It will help me be successful in getting pregnant. :) My husband forgot to put me on his insurance so I've been paying out of pocket for BC! ugh...

  • @Mandalark Wait. Why are you on BC if you are trying to get pregnant? With PCOS there is a medicine called Metformin. I was on it for a while to help with the side effects of my PCOS but it made me really nauseous. It's an insulin sensitizer, and it helps with diabetes, but also helps with women with PCOS trying to conceive. So, when I was on it I had to be VERY diligent with taking my birth control.

Might want to ask your doctors about it. Let me know, because I have some more info on it.

  • I am really proud of you, just know that you have my support. As well I will be joining ya on your weight loss next week. We had the baby last week and now it is time for me to work on my weight and become healthy again,

  • I know, I've seen baby Keagen! So adorable! Don't push yourself, but I'm sure glad to have you back here. I've missed seeing your videos, and of course I cherish the support you've given me!

  • I have followed your videos and good luck to you in your journey

  • Thank you so very much!

  • @CutTheFat Great that you are feeling happy. I congratulate you and wish you all the best. I find whatever plan gives me more peace and reduces anxiety, that is the one I stick with.

  • You have "first and foremost" in your description! LOL I had to point that out since you told me it was a catchphrase of mine :-D

This was a brave video. Thank you for sharing sweetheart, and remember you are beautiful inside and out (((hugs)))

  • It is your catch phrase! I'm glad to finally get it out there. Plus, I loved setting my new account all up with the help of Nathan and his art! =)

  • Great video!!! Will you find me when you start the new sight cause I will support you all the way. I understand you so well in your thinking. My daughter has gone from 300 to 230 in 1 yr and 3 months no surgery but changing her thinking like your doing. I tell you she is almost 20 and she blends in with even fast food eating I will tell you more in a pm soon

  • Thank you so much for your comment! I can't wait for your PM also. The youtube channel is up if you want to subscribe now. I should be making a video there either this Friday or next.

I will be checking out your videos too! I watch many WLS people here on Youtube, even though I haven't had WLS, I think that its fascinating to watch and see the changes you go through.

  • Exactly! That's my "plan" exactly! ;-) hehe I know how to eat healthily and prepare food in a healthy manner. As long as I watch my portion sizes, and don't overdo it, I am sure I will be fine.

    Thanks!

  • Ah, thank you! Very sweet!!!

  • Your welcome. It was very weird that your video went up yesterday and I just knew that it was time for me to put mine up too.

I'm with you 100%! I am tired, and sick and tired of losing the same 30-35 pounds, and re-gaining it. I know what I have to do, I just need to do it.

My offer still stands. If you need ANYTHING please let me know. I'm sure we could be quite beneficial to one another!

  • i can't say anymore than : you're wonderful!

  • Danke! ;-) You are too kind. I appreciate it so very much.

  • ...planned deveations are definitely important.. to keep your diet fresh and not get that feeling of restricting yourself totally!

For me it's just always important to plan those....like: okay, friday I'm eating a lovely dinner with my boyfriend.. or saturday I'm going out with my girls and have some drinks. But to keep those deveations in small numbers.

all the best for your fresh start!

  • Very true! For the first few days overly restrictive diets are fine for me, but then I hit a wall and get emotional and upset. I know its something that I can't do for a lifetime, granted it may have some aspects that I can bring into my diet, but overall I am not going to live on rice and beans or whatever for the rest of my life. LOL

I am going to try to eat healthy throughout the week, and maybe go out once on the weekend.

    Thanks again for the comment!

  • already subscribed to your new channel ;) ... a fresh start is a good idea. I love how insightful you are concerning your last 3 years and how your attitude towards weight loss moved into the wrong directions.

I would recommend writing down some more specific points than just 'eating healthy and excercising'.. not as a certain plan, but just to define it a little bit more. At least that helped me a lot... some guidelines, so to speak.

  • That's a good idea. I truly never knew when my obsession with food became such a struggle until after this detox. My mind was so clear for a few days, and I just knew what went wrong, when, and what I needed to do.

I have been keeping a personal journal as well with a bit more specific points. I'm sure I'll give more background about what it is I'm doing when I make my first video.

Thank you for your support!! It means the world.

  • great video!

  • Thank you so very much!

  • you are so sweet!!! I am totally going to sub to your other channel and you totally have my support!!! greetings from alaska

  • Thank you so very much. Support is what this community is all about. I can't thank you enough. I know that changing channels is a bit extreme, but after 3 years, I think its time to move on.

  • listen, you do whatever you need to to be a healthier and happier you. ITS ALL ABOUT YOU.

  • I am SO happy to hear you say that. Your videos were always full of sound advice. Whether you make videos or not, I am sure you will do well. You'll be in my thoughts, and you will most definitely have my support!

  • You are so beautiful and well spoken my dear :)

I am so with you on all of your points in this video.. the key is normal size portions! sounds easy eh?.. not so much.. but should be... I control what goes in my mouth....

  • Man. Youtube is really dropping the ball. I've responded to comments a few times and they just refuse to post!

Thank you for your support. You know how much it means to me - and especially such an old friend. =)

  • excellenta

  • Why thank you, kindly. =)

  • Such a wonderful and important message girl. Good to see you and you've got all my support.
