  • 2:50 ...

  • Blues is better than sex. #fact

  • @Pop2Lock sex and blues

  • i really don´t want to be there when bb pass away...

  • to that idiot that said that BB is a "fat dude" GFY stupid asshole. Go and see britney and respect a man that has been playing blues for more than 70 years... and ask ourself if you would be able to even hold lucille.... not to mention the best performance I´ve seen in years..... at your 84 years.... And I´m 28.

  • If you really want to experience this.... turn tje volume to 11.... then and only then you will know why BB is the one and only king.... and I´m a HUGE clapton-beck-buddy-SRV-bonammasa- fan.... and I love the music of muddy, howlin wolf and the bluesmans of the generation of BB.... but, this is amazing. No one comes close even.

  • god damn it.... it really leave me shaking.... lon live the king of the blues.... After have seen this I am very sure no one, not a single person comes close to BB. Still and forever the king.

  • 3 people are too reatrded to apreciate real art

  • 3 people should go listen justin biber and dont bother here

  • right at the end there, he makes that face that says. GET ON MY LEVEL.

  • LOOK! - WE ALL KNOW BY KNOW BY NOW " THETHRILL IS GONE" BUT DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE IT WENT? DOES ANYBODY OUT THERE REALLY GIVE A SHIT BESIDES ME?

  • @kefkef5 - HOW SAD! I DIDN'T THINK SO.

  • @HEARTHEANGELSVOICES

Stop yelling, my ears hurt. Now I can't listen to BB King...

  • Lucille has the best sustain I have ever heard from a guitar!

  • @liamwalker66

Even when it´s basicallly a gibson es 335, and without a doubt the es series are the best hollowbody guitars in the world.... in this case I think 20% accounts for Lucile.... the rest is BB´s technique and vibrato.

  • omg!!!!

  • He does not only feels the blues but also makes me feel it too...

And that it's just so good.

  • Lol @ ppl talking bad about bb kings playing, 70 year career regarded as one of the best ever, stfu noobs

  • @murton09 QFT

  • DID HE PLAY TWO MINOR CHORDS IN THE BEGINNING??????????

  • @urgnomen RIGHT !!!!!

  • @urgnomen Does it matter???

  • @urgnomen Yes. The song is minor keyed.

  • AWESOME! I love BB King. But is it me or did he "maybe" try something a bit different between 2:58 - 3:07, that didn't really sound what he wanted. Kinda like running a scale, not his style... Almost Clapton'ish, but it didnlt work. I love the sustained notes too, mabe he's been hanging wiht Buddy Guy a bit too...... Just an opinion & a thought, I love the guy & all the other blues players..... & I am big time Clapton fan, & Clapton is big time BB fan. LOL God Bless You All..

  • @cmann47647 Hey there, I see what you mean but don't agree with your take on it. I see a man in his eighties still trying new things and taking his music to new places. I find that inspiring as I am just a kid of fifty myself with much left to learn.

  • @cmann47647 He often 'runs scale' in 'The Thrill Is Gone'. If you listen to enough of his performances of the song you will recognise the clichés. Typically, he'll play that B on the nineteenth fret (e string; Louis Jordan derived) then come back down to the D on the 10th before pulling off (not always, but to affect a similar sound) on the B at seven. That sequence almost invariably precedes the usual run of scale which you refer to.

  • pff lol i know this mother fucker sold his soul to the devil for blues a long ass time ago. Lol virbatoing like that? Lol you have had to sell your soul.

  • I'm a bass player, and B.B. is one of my influences. That's how influential this guy is.

  • @morselax012

    same here lol funny huh

  • there is a reason why they call him the king

  • Everyone has a guitarist that influences them in their style.. Some say Stevie Ray, some say satriani..could be anyone, but no matter what you say, BB king will always be your influence whether you like it or not <3

  • Just simply awesome. Thats how music is supposed to be played.

  • this almost funk, awsome bluesy virtuoso funk, but funk nevertheless

  • i want that golden jacket!

although I might not fit in perfectly....

  • who the fck is the idiot one that disliked?

  • Por algo es el Rey!

  • nice!

  • Hey B.B.... Thanks for being. You've brought joy to my life.... .....Phil

  • there were no wrong notes... only the awesome ones

  • @hamulec94

Don't get me wrong BB is the man! One of my all time favorites. But I must say... his very first note... might have been a half pitch higher than what he wanted! LOL...

  • ive got to see him live...so much emotion..king of blues himself

  • 3:56 Aaahh!!

  • When mi ex kicked me out I used to hear this song... Now I'm in love again, but now I have the right woman. I'm letting the good times roll.

  • love the man, but feeling like he's going through the motions here

  • Clearly the Thrill isn't gone

  • everything from the crooked bow tie to the actual playing is perfect for this song. king of the blues!

  • The king of blues!

  • Whoever said BB hit a wrong note, go cry to ur mama!

FACT: BB never hits a wrong note!

  • fucking blue god.. bb allways with funny face jajaajja XD 4 EVER BLUES MAN!!

  • bb king NEVER play a bad note

  • HAHAHAHHAHHA 1:30, BB attacks the wrong note!!

omg that is so fucking funny

  • @blah148 that is definitv no wrong note! if you think that go and learn the blues!

  • @NapalmFerret BB King's trademark is attacking the octave-root, but here he attacks the octave-b9 which is the ugliest possible note that can be played apart from a tritone.

listen to it like 5 times and you'll notice its not the correct note. I'm a big fan (in fact I'm seeing him this fall) so I'm not bangin, but I just find it really funny

  • @blah148 This is blues, there is no such thing as a wrong note.

  • @amnesia271 You're right. there's no such thing as a wrong note, but there's definitely such a thing as a wrong resolution.

at 1:30 BB 'King' hits a b9 and clearly doesn't mean to (he meant to hit the octave). unfortunatley BB King doesn't have the musical knowledge to resolve his unintentional note

  • @blah148 A wise man once said: Better to keep your mouth shut and seem like a fool, than to open it and leave no doubt. You (and I, a lot) haven't learned that lesson. In my opinion, (not worth much) you just sounded REALLY foolish insulting THE KING of blues. B.B. is the 'Chuck Norris' of Blues; if he hits a note, it BECOMES the right note, cause he said so. (Please don't take this comment too seriously, just laugh, as this is the intended response.)

  • this is a incrediable man.. just from the look of him when he plays music. he doenst play for money. he loves the sound that he produces and loves music himself. when ur that old u dont play for money he plays to share his passion with music and show that everyone needs a love in there life. his is blues... truely unbelievable the way he is moved by that guitar

  • Fuckin hell, awesome, fast fingers for a fat man.

    someone has the coolest grandad

  • I met bb king in february when he played in detroit and he's a very wise, smart, man. Behind all of the talent that he has in his body is an amazing personality.

He is the king of the blues.

  • This is the SH*t

Love the Blues Love BB KING

    ROCK ON

    John

  • For me the Thrill is never Gone when I listen to him play this song

  • He's a greatling.
