And the wind waker is like a follow from OoT, because otherwise you won't see the storyline of OoT at the beginning of WW.

The game was ok. It just didn't fit with the classic LoZ story, and it even contradicted it at some places. Not a bad game, but I prefer the classic storyline from LoZ classic/OOT.

Besides, in WW they say link defeated ganon once (OoT) then he failed to show up to save them again (mabye he was off doing MM?) so WW actually can fit into the OoT storyline fairly easily. (Not that is is suppose to)

@kirawillrise Link failed to show up because he was sent back in time by Zelda. So, in the future (where the adult link lived), there is no Link to save the people. Years and years after this 'adult' timeline is Wind Waker.

Majora's Mask occurs in the 'child timeline', after Link is sent to the past and becomes a child again at the end of OoT.

The 3d console games fit fine with each other.

He grows up in a timeline where Ganondorf never rises to power because he had knowledge of the future and warned Zelda. The other timeline is the one where Ganondorf does rise to power, and Link destroys the evil as the Hero of Time.

I have to say this and get it out of my system. Everything about Wind Waker is perfect. The storyline, the controls the quests the gameplay, the graphics, it was cell-shaded but it looked fucking awesome! And basically the whole soundtrack. And how's it treated? Hardly any reviews, and thoes reviews don't give it rightful praise. I swear to God this is the best Zelda game, if not THE best game I've ever played.

I have yet to play twilight princess, and OoT and Majora's Mask are still my favourite Zelda games in terms of gameplay but Wind Waker had some of the best new themes, music, and features. Being more cartoony gave it a huge advantage in adding new better looking cinematics compared to N64 games.

yes you can just do it again. You just go back and try again, and if that fails try again or do something else. There really is no darkeness to the game, and absolutely no adult tone to it. Everyone dies eventually, and this game points out that the details of life are more important than the big picture. If anything, it's the lightest of heart out of all of the zelda games. Wind Waker leaves no hope for survival, with the only option being to look for santuary on a dying world.

An Adult theme is where content displays something unsuitable for children.
