This, like all Byzantine/Orthodox music ive heard, is magical. i was raised greek orthodox, however i dont consider myself to be part of any organised religion. the true essence of religion is not to 'choose' one out of many. all monotheistic religions are derived from common origins, and are one in the same. i do believe in god, but not the god many religions speak of. @JonathanGiann No, what the Cannons and the Church fathers say is the opinion of the Church, which is the body of Christ and the gates of hell can not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18) Anything After Christianity is a cheap imitation of the real faith. Islam, Bahai, Sikh etc. All of these monotheistic faiths are nothing but the machinations of misguided/evil/selfish men who came hundreds and in some cases over a thousand years after Christ. Christ is the truth, end of story.

can someone please tell me where this picture at 4:42 comes from? who is on the right? is that God the father? why does he have a triangle aura? is that to depict the trinity? symbolism has meaning here. why is there a sun with rays coming from the dove(holy spirit) ??

the dove represents the all most Holy and undefiled Spirit.

to the right is God the Father with the symble of the Holy Trinity around His head.

to the other side is Jesus Christ holding the Cross.

you all so see the Herouvin and Cheroubim in this Icon.

in Orthodoxy this Icon is rarely ever seen and the Father is never seen.

Jesus Christ is the Father He is the Son and He is the holy Spirit this is the Holy Trinity all in one essence.

In actuality, this icon is never supposed to be used in cannonical churches because people confuse the man on the right as God the Father. The artistic interpretation is of an old man Jacob saw in the heavens when he dreamt of the Ladder in the old testament. We can never depict the trinity completely, because He exists in mystery "No man shall look upon my face and live"

The sun with rays depicts the light of Gods energetic wisdom granted by the Holy Spirit.
