Thanks for that. I bought a 2006 today off an internet auction site. I have always wanted a scanner, since I were a kid. But never got around to it. Could you tell me. Is it fairly easy to use? I dont know if it comes with a manual, but I can get one off the net. What sort of communications do you pick up with it. Thanks again, please answer when u have the time.

Hiya mate, the main things I mnitor are cb, air band, uhf & vhf amateur bands and all manner of pmr stuff like taxis and security guards etc etc , if I can help in any way let me know .

the best bit of advice I can offer is that an outdoor aerial is a must for these scanners if you want to get the best out of them.

to compliment this radio a realistic dx 394 for shortwave is great. or a dx 100.

No, I have been watching your vids Mark before buying the scanner. I need to get around to getting a decent ariel but other things have taken precedent over it at the moment. Remember I asked you a question ages ago about scanning and you said that you had been friends with MOC for a long time, or he said that he had known you. I can't remember which now!

Got ya, aerials are not that dear really, i've been checking them out recently as i've just bought a pro 2006 like the one in this video

Hey, Id one of them, the ruber duck connection, rear of them, use military v thin cable, its like cable tv, bout 2meters of it, out a window, you will pick up the local emergency radios within 10mile, on am & fm.. ;)
