  • 5:32 Guitar mummification 101 lol , still nice job, do the same rules apply to installing binding to an electric guitar ?

  • @MaidenFan24568 If the bindings are wood yes. If they are plastic or ivoroid then a different glue is used and it is not really necessary to wrap the guitar

  • haha high tech glue spreading device :p

  • Dude, I have the Dean Vendetta 1000 in black, and I would like the body to have a natural finish binding (like the headstock), what should I do?

  • that first guitar... is that a cocobolo back-sides with koa binding?? I love the color combination!

  • @yestragitaarbouw Yes, cocobolo and koa, nice huh?

  • brasileirinho?

  • Thank you. I also give classes and workshops on the road. Get a group together and let me know when to sow up.

  • This guy is awesome. I wished he were local and I could spend about a year learning from him!

  • Im a finish carpenter, and wonder why don't you cut the binding at a 45 at the seam that way it will never separate. Just wondering ..amazing work man

  • @mandaltby I did that for man years. It was a bit tougher for some of my students so I went to the butt joint and have never had a problem with it separating. It is easier to do too.

  • I just did the binding on my first classical, stressful experience to say the least... especially around the heel

  • lol! "high tech glue spreading device"

  • nice!, helped me a lot, by the way, great song choose.

  • Binding is the most stressful for me for some reason. But, I have only bound two guitars. I'll get better hopefully.
