@ender3711 I actually knew that. My sister is mormon and I read up on the religion. I heard Kobol, and was completely shocked. Then I read up on BSG more and there is A LOT of mormon influence. The original is apparently a lot worse, but I couldn't bring myself to make it through a single episode of the original.

The reason for Gayatri Mantra...

1) The divine n supreme god/gods/cycle of rebirth n prayer to/obedience throu lack of controllin' what will happen. in bsg, in the end, how it "decides" what will happen to humans after the war (Baltar n #6 - topic what God likes/wants)

2) cycle of life, it all starts without a beggining n ends without one "it have happened before n it will happen again" - mentioned in "The Plan" by most founders/parents of the cylon models after the nukin' of the colonies.

Respond to this video... You can hear the Gayatri Mantra at the begining of every episode from second season on, in the American version. Thats what the woman is singing as the words come up and you see the fleet leaving Ragnar, and the word "Earth" comes up, or how many people are left. He came full circle with the Gayatri Mantra.

nice mixture of the ost n the speach done by the cylons w/e u might call it - I call it the babbling bathtub lol. bit confusing effects of the auctuall bombing in the backround but it really gave a nice touch to the mix ;)
