Mega Man 8 was made for the PlayStation 1, and utilized the best graphics available at the time. Mega Man 9 was made for the Wii, PS3, and 360, and used an art style reminiscent of the NES Mega Man games.

It's like they said "Let's make the game painstakingly easy and put all of the difficulty into Wily Capsule #4!"(#1 being MM4s, 2, MM5, 3 MM6, and 4 MM7)

@GameMastaClario Im serious. De-bug mode is when you do a certain amount of moves in/on a certain level, and you turn into an item when the "c" nutton is pressed. You used it to gain full heath.

@lightninstriker10 What makes it stranger is no game system the X collection was released for had a C button. (There's the C-stick, but still.) That debug mode with the C button is from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 engine games (S3, SK, S3&K), and those aren't even overtly related to the Mega Man series.

In brief: If a debug mode exists in the SNES version, or in the collection, the C button wouldn't do anything as there is no such button.

@lui6link Well you can get megaman anniversary collection and it has megaman 7 in it so you can basically get it for gamecube... I did it yesterday!

access the shop just press select at the stage select screen and if get auto hyper bolt he will cut the price of any item in half.

I'm wonder if it is possible to beat the final boss without any items... I mean, I only have Rush Coil and I have no energy tanks (for both the weapons and the life)... I'm wonder if I can beat it ?

@FrenchyStarFox There is one. I forget which button you press to access it, but on the Stage Select screen, you can go to the shop instead.
