wifi direct is in the galaxy S2 ... it uses wifi to send media or data between to wifi direct capable smartphones ... and it's really fast ... @pocketnowvideo
Face unlock is more of a novelty than anything. Android isn't advertising it as a high security feature anyway... in fact it tells you on the security screen in your phone that face unlock is less secure than pattern or pin.
Face unlock. Simple. Someone takes your phone and unlocks it by pointing the phone using your face while you sleep or using a photograph of yourself. Who the hell tough this pointless featture would work?
No shit! He did do a presentation with a T-Mobile, dumbass. That is like asking if the Nexus has ICS 4.0, which was what you just did. I'm flagging your account for moronic inquiry
@xXxLoyaltyxXx1 It's just the SIM Card, for now only Verizon has the Nexus if I am not mistaken. This was a review of the 3G which wasn't available in the US unless imported from Europe. T-mobile will either get the US version of the Nexus(4G) later or not at all.
Please look up your facts before you rage on youtube, it makes you look really bad. :S
@gauthamgooner Yeah. But he has a live wallpaper, and huge widgets on every page. It doesn't matter what phone you have, with what OS, and with what specs; all that stuff adds up, and it causes immense lag - fast.
@SilentHill201 It goes after desserts and it also teaches you your abc's n.n The next android OS will be a dessert that starts with a "J" maybe jello lol...
I don't get it, he comments on how 'fast and fluid' it is, yet there's a 1/2 second delay between his swipe and the page responding. Being used to iOS, this seems very slow and unresponsive.
I do like the multi directional swipe unlock feature for the unlock and camera. I think this could be pushed even further and gave 4 or 5 customisable functions arranged around 360 degrees like you see in many computer games. Then you could quick launch from the unlock screen. I'd swap from iPhone for that.
Android 4.0 now has the features of iOS 2.0 *sarcastic clap* and they just plagiarized the UI from Apple. Nokia and Windows have both been more creative in that respect and come up with original and creative designs.
My other beef with Android is the way their UI is so dark and black - it looks kind of dull.
@ErichLancaster Apple and Microsoft are proprietary closed source bitches, if Android really had copied them they would have sued Google already! That's the only thing they are good at doing..
@eyfhsdksd They have sued Google indirectly I think. I believe Apple took Samsung to court for stealing their design. I would really love it if Google came up with an original vibrant design! I mean they made chrome and that's much prettier and faster than IE, Mozilla and Safari. They ought to do something similar with the Android platform.
@ErichLancaster Google with Android gave freedom which is much more than a mere interface, that means you can download tons of user interfaces from several vendors or even a customized firmware from several available (Cyanogen, MIUI).
I think Google kept its attention on the real thing, the phone itself and not its UI (which anyway I like more than 8 big grandma tiles of wp7)
@canofsoupify troll, probably you use Microsoft at work and an Apple computer at home, that tells a lot about your perception of freedom and free software..
@eyfhsdksd freedom? Ill take looks, speed, smoothness, compatibility, features, no viruses, no spyware over lagdroid.
enjoy your free android thats going to be outdated in 2 months by a galaxy s3. the galaxy nexus will probably never get an update, and if it will, probably will be a year before it finally receives an update.
@canofsoupify Funny you talk about updates when on Android you can install several fresh firmware from various developers (IMIUI, CYANOGEN etc) while on WP7 you have to wait uncle ballmer to decide if he wants to update OTA or not (and maybe brick your smartphone as its last year updates did)
@canofsoupify gud luck with ur looks and smoothness, lets see if that will help you go to the moon or survive an apocalypse or something... typical troll

I messed around with this phone at the Verizon store. I didn't check all features (like constant speech to text), but I did have a quick peak at the camera. First thing I noticed was that as I moved the phone around to choose an image, the display was very jittery. I expected that with a dual core processor, this would be a non-issue.
WiFi Direct is a relatively new concept for phones. Essentially, the tech enables devices to connect directly to one another without needing a router or internet connection to act as a middleman. In other words, it gives your Android phone another method of sharing pictures, files or just about anything else with your desktop computer -- but it can also connect a group of gamers, stream media content from your ICS phone to an audio player, print files and so on.
ICS has been confirmed for Samsung Galaxy S2 and Samsung Galaxy Note to be released in March. I cannot wait. Thumbs this up so samsung users can be notified.
When will Galaxy SII get ICS? I heard it was around the end of January this year, qnyone got an exact date? I'm lookin forward to it :D Really nice video!

It looks cool. The dude calls it fast but it looks a tad slow to me. I am a WP user and envy some of the Android features, but i really really like the live tiles and snappiness of the WP. But it's a tad too simple for me. Maybe... WP made iphone useless anyway
It really looks laggy.

It looks cool. The dude calls it fast but it looks a tad slow to me. I am a WP user and envy some of the Android features, but i really really like the live tiles and snappiness of the WP. But it's a tad too simple for me. Maybe... WP made iphone useless anyway
