  • It really looks laggy.

  • Most of these things you can do in GO Launcher EX or 360 Launcher...

  • wifi direct is in the galaxy S2 ... it uses wifi to send media or data between to wifi direct capable smartphones ... and it's really fast ... @pocketnowvideo

  • oh god 4.0 almost close to getting aaaaaahhhhhhhhhh gimme gimme gimme mmmmmm ice cream sandwhich (NEO)™ ♔

  • isn't it just a little stupid that it locks while your finger is on it? just saying

  • Clip your Godamn nails.

  • you have the best android feature videos, thank you

  • Face unlock is more of a novelty than anything. Android isn't advertising it as a high security feature anyway... in fact it tells you on the security screen in your phone that face unlock is less secure than pattern or pin.

  • Very good mate

  • Comment removed

  • until android starts using macaroni and tomato salad, I'm sticking with blackberry ;)

  • Thanks

  • @MADDKNOCKER That... might be because the HTC's are also android phones...

  • face unlock is stupid. why not just make an unlock screen that makes your eyes follow a pattern to unlock but also uses your face to recognize you

  • Face unlock. Simple. Someone takes your phone and unlocks it by pointing the phone using your face while you sleep or using a photograph of yourself. Who the hell tough this pointless featture would work?

  • dam you google and sprint, i been waiting for this on my nexus s 4g since december and im going crazy sense i still dont have it!!!

  • "It's not as fast as some of the s2 phone, but it's not supposed to be." Nigga please!

  • Wi-Fi Direct is a standard that allows Wi-Fi devices to connect to each other with no need for a wireless access point

  • IS it me or are a lot of these features on HTC ?

  • @MADDKNOCKER because its the same OS smartass...

  • live wallpaper, alot of widgets... no wonder you lagging like crazy

  • I really like the Face Reconition Unlock feature... it seems really fast... :)

  • @wingman121407 retard. You must be a wingman for your grandmother whom gets more action than you, virgin

  • @wingman121407 "Will T-Mobile get this phone?"

No shit! He did do a presentation with a T-Mobile, dumbass. That is like asking if the Nexus has ICS 4.0, which was what you just did. I'm flagging your account for moronic inquiry

  • @xXxLoyaltyxXx1 It's just the SIM Card, for now only Verizon has the Nexus if I am not mistaken. This was a review of the 3G which wasn't available in the US unless imported from Europe. T-mobile will either get the US version of the Nexus(4G) later or not at all.

Please look up your facts before you rage on youtube, it makes you look really bad. :S

  • Some years later samsung was a shit, but today is the best ! :D tomorrow i will buy the S2 or the nexus...i don't know :)

  • The lockscreen is almost a copy from HTC Sense 3.0...

  • I wonder what apple will copy from this next.

  • Did I notice some lag when you slide from screen to screen?

  • @gauthamgooner Yeah. But he has a live wallpaper, and huge widgets on every page. It doesn't matter what phone you have, with what OS, and with what specs; all that stuff adds up, and it causes immense lag - fast.

  • but so are iphones...

  • all androids are the same...

  • Will T-mobile get this phone?

  • Dude you have women hands

  • Good

  • how is the battery life on this device ?

  • Ordered mine today, now the wait

  • I don't know, I love MeeGo OS on Nokia N9 a whole lot better.

  • Android = Food.

  • its great phone...

  • its awesome , but just dont like the lag...

  • You know its a good phone when the software makes you hungery..

  • Can anyone tell why they name Android OSs after desserts: Eclairs, FROzen YOgurt, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich.

  • @SilentHill201 for them like sweets

  • @SilentHill201 cause android is a freakin sweet OS!

  • @SilentHill201 It goes after desserts and it also teaches you your abc's n.n The next android OS will be a dessert that starts with a "J" maybe jello lol...

  • I bet the new android is gonna be popsicle

  • I don't know but i don't like too many widgets on the screen... Too much visual pollution.

  • I don't get it, he comments on how 'fast and fluid' it is, yet there's a 1/2 second delay between his swipe and the page responding. Being used to iOS, this seems very slow and unresponsive.

I do like the multi directional swipe unlock feature for the unlock and camera. I think this could be pushed even further and gave 4 or 5 customisable functions arranged around 360 degrees like you see in many computer games. Then you could quick launch from the unlock screen. I'd swap from iPhone for that.

  • 1000likes. Its me the 1000th person...!!

  • @skater4655. Both the Motorola droid razr and the razr maxx will be get the ICS update sometime in Q1 motorola said.

  • wat about dick unlock?

  • @TheFragans | How would you take your dick out in the public and point it towards the smartphone? I'd loooove to see that.

  • 4.0 for Xperia play?! :/

  • Will the Regular Razr get this eventually? I want to get the Razr but want this OS. Any responses about it will be helpful.

  • Android 4.0 now has the features of iOS 2.0 *sarcastic clap* and they just plagiarized the UI from Apple. Nokia and Windows have both been more creative in that respect and come up with original and creative designs.

My other beef with Android is the way their UI is so dark and black - it looks kind of dull.

  • @ErichLancaster Apple and Microsoft are proprietary closed source bitches, if Android really had copied them they would have sued Google already! That's the only thing they are good at doing..

  • @eyfhsdksd They have sued Google indirectly I think. I believe Apple took Samsung to court for stealing their design. I would really love it if Google came up with an original vibrant design! I mean they made chrome and that's much prettier and faster than IE, Mozilla and Safari. They ought to do something similar with the Android platform.

  • @ErichLancaster Google with Android gave freedom which is much more than a mere interface, that means you can download tons of user interfaces from several vendors or even a customized firmware from several available (Cyanogen, MIUI).

I think Google kept its attention on the real thing, the phone itself and not its UI (which anyway I like more than 8 big grandma tiles of wp7)

  • still lagdroid

  • @canofsoupify troll, probably you use Microsoft at work and an Apple computer at home, that tells a lot about your perception of freedom and free software..

  • @eyfhsdksd freedom? Ill take looks, speed, smoothness, compatibility, features, no viruses, no spyware over lagdroid.

enjoy your free android thats going to be outdated in 2 months by a galaxy s3. the galaxy nexus will probably never get an update, and if it will, probably will be a year before it finally receives an update.

    been there done that.

  • @canofsoupify Funny you talk about updates when on Android you can install several fresh firmware from various developers (IMIUI, CYANOGEN etc) while on WP7 you have to wait uncle ballmer to decide if he wants to update OTA or not (and maybe brick your smartphone as its last year updates did)

  • @canofsoupify gud luck with ur looks and smoothness, lets see if that will help you go to the moon or survive an apocalypse or something... typical troll

  • Looks super slow..

  • @SuperSwagSauce It's the camera, even his finger is leaving an after image most of the time. probably recording at 24. something fps.

  • Pew pew

  • I know right? That phone is way too choppy comared to Note

  • Ty very much!!!

  • yes this is all good, but how does it taste?

  • @1SavageDragon1 thats all well and good, but will it blend?

  • that phone is ugly shaped but it's still a nice phone

  • I really Like GingerBread but if ICS When Officially Released for your phone Increases Power Management then i wouldn't Mind it

  • The features of Android 4.0 are great, yet I kind of like the original set up. Are there any other themes or such? Also, how much does Ice Cream Sandwich cost?

  • wut

  • Is it just me or did this phone looked really choppy? Like it didn't move smoothly at all.

  • there is only one samsung galaxy 2:D..anyway which is better ice cream or gingerbread?

  • @rajinirulez | S II Skyrocket?

  • Notification bar is better in gingerbread

  • thats great, up to 580mbps connection,,wow

  • google should take over chocolate business rather than mobile os...im sure if they really make ice cream sandwich it will outsell mars galaxy bounty twix whatever is there on the market

  • @CLSAMG4eva hahaha xd

  • tip, get power widget and add always on option

  • Wifi direct is the replacing bluetooth it creates a ad-hoc connection directly to the specified device transferring files up 580mbs

  • Another shiity droid. Don't worry they will make 20000 more droids to compete with the legendary iPhone

  • @unreall03 Then the iPhone would be obsolete.

  • I hate the fact that they got rid of the menu button!! It was one of my favourite things in android

  • I'm sorry Apple!,you designed the most beautiful operating system and windows mirror-Xeroxed that ,You gave an interface to Mobil/Tablets which is as aesthetic as never before and you lost it to Grandroid (Google),and many are eagerly waiting for what u gonna introduce to the world and who will take advantage of it!

  • @loveuala Good god that is the most ignorant thing I have ever read. Apple has never innovated ANYTHING in terms of phones. Don't get me wrong, iPhones are nice phones, but to say that android has "taken advantage" of apple is just insane. So many features that are seen as apple innovations have been on android mobiles far longer, and as for windows stealing apples design... what? I can't even comprehend the train of thought that would lead you to that conclusion

  • @CuristofaM facts are bitter to swallow! android was there before iPhone released but at that time it's interface was so much clutter. With it's aesthetic design iOS was released in 2007 and the resurrection of android was done in hands of Google in 2009 with interface from.... u know that, and about Microsoft everybody knows! I'm an open source fan,I use GNU/Linux and OSS products but I honestly admit d design was Apple's baby whether it's H/W or S/F.If dis seems ignorant it's OK

  • What wallpaper are you using?

  • I messed around with this phone at the Verizon store. I didn't check all features (like constant speech to text), but I did have a quick peak at the camera. First thing I noticed was that as I moved the phone around to choose an image, the display was very jittery. I expected that with a dual core processor, this would be a non-issue.

  • The phone is a little laggy because he has a live wallpaper, plenty of widgets and apps on the home screen.

  • Android 4.0 looks realy great! :D

  • I sent a gig dvd quality film to my m8 via wifi direct.

I connected 1st. Found the film then clicked share via wifi direct.

    It took miniutes!

  • WiFi Direct is a relatively new concept for phones. Essentially, the tech enables devices to connect directly to one another without needing a router or internet connection to act as a middleman. In other words, it gives your Android phone another method of sharing pictures, files or just about anything else with your desktop computer -- but it can also connect a group of gamers, stream media content from your ICS phone to an audio player, print files and so on.

  • @grcarranza Couldn't that make someone more susceptible to viruses?

  • @grcarranza can it be used on samsung galaxy note?

  • @grcarranza you mean bluetooth?

  • this is sooo gaaayyyyyyyyyyy

  • Comment removed

  • Horrible interfaz!!!

  • Anyone knows out when this comes out on the LG Optimus LTE 4G? I can't find any info online.

  • @pocketnowvideo What wallpaper is that?

  • Looks Awesome :)

  • Hey men hevet seen you in a long time

  • Hypercluttered

  • so basically from the end of your video, the nexus is just a bit off a this is what ICS is like on a phone? and not a next frontier phone?

  • ماشاء الله

  • ماشاء الله

  • WHAT IS THE NAME OF THAT WALLPAPER ?!?!?!?!?!?!?

  • When will Galaxy SII get ICS? I heard it was around the end of January this year, qnyone got an exact date? I'm lookin forward to it :D Really nice video!

  • @OfficialTutorialUK hmm not so sure my self as i am sitting there waiting for the date, however i know asus and a few other developers are releasing ICS for tablets next month, so we might get it then or shortly after

  • aha!!! i saw your face...heheh

  • Or maybe even bloatware

  • Seems laggy prob just the phone

  • seems more to be of honeycomb UI.

  • Good review. You should read an article about how it compares to iOS5 on this link: fapobee.blogspot.com

  • Is ICS Available FOR Samsung Galaxy Y???

    Please Answer!!

  • @sanadjung nope. Not available yet.

  • It's laggy cuz the dude had a live wallpaper on with about a million widgets on his home screens lol. Those live wallpapers use up a lot of juice. Watch other reviews that don't have live wallpapers and you'll see it's as smooth as butter...or margarine whatever you prefer.

    :-)

  • to be honest, it looks very laggy

  • what clock is that ?

  • how u did u have like digital watch i tried to check on the setting ... im new at android !

  • Comment removed

  • what is the wallpaper that he has?

  • @davidpresley- ICS is out.. its on the nexus s and galaxy nexus

  • When is ICS supposed to be released? I understand there are different release dates for different devices, so does anyone know of a website that lists the dates?

  • wifi direct allows a wifi antenna to act like a bluetooth antenna and connect two devices without an access point.

  • use face unlock....because none is smart enough to use a picture of you to open your phone

  • checkout my new app its called coolwhapp!

  • I believe wifi direct is the ability to share files and things of the sort directly from pc's and other devices over wifi

  • will android beam work with current androids updated to 4.0 i,e Galaxy S2 or is their hardware needed for it?

  • Dude I think Wifi Direct is when you can use the internet on your device as a wifi hotspot to share the internet with other devices that can connect to you as a wireless hotspot, Check out my channel let me know what you think

  • half of the time u spent in screen lock

  • This video just wasted 10 minutes of my time. Cheers.

  • @stricken9501 Well your app kinda sucks dude. you just touch the top and it makes a whip cream noise. booooorrrring

  • I like the new ice cream sandwich update but only thing that I don't like is when you going to the photo gallery you don't have the option 2 only see the video or photos only so all the media is all to put together

  • iphone and nexus are both so good. how can anyone hate one of them so much?!!!

  • I am going to send a email... to my self.

    For Ever Alone...

  • @bored873 Forever is one word dipshit.

  • It seems pretty laggy in my opinion.

  • @zodiark619 this is also 4.0 build which is months old. i think Android 4.0.3 is the newest. prolly less laggy.

  • @AmOnStEr94 Won't know until I actually try it out.

  • @zodiark619 Seriously? I don't see it :\ what part are you talking about in specific?

  • @snow4life987 Some examples are:

4:43 = when he scrolled there was a slight lag.

6:07 = a little lag there as well

There's more all over the video but I'm too lazy to list them all here.

  • @zodiark619 agreed. may instances of lag. and with the waze/wave whatever you call it dragging was laggy.

  • @zodiark619 Probably because he was using an animated wallpaper. Those tend to slow things down a bit.

  • @zodiark619 laggy? with all respect friend 1.2GHz don't think so

  • @zodiark619 well its not

  • @zodiark619 I just got this phone its not laggy at all

  • @firetarp That's because he has the oldest version. I think they updated it already.

  • @zodiark619 I'd say it is laggy because of that animated background. It runs very fluid in the menu and stuff.. It only laggs when it shows that background.

  • @zodiark619 lol not at all!!

  • @pocketnowvideo wi-fi direct is a file transfer tool

  • Check this website out: htcandroid.be

  • I don't know, it's sounds wired a little I don't like ice cream sandwich unless there are a nice themes which will make it looking more better

  • iOS and Android arguments anyone?

  • blah!!!!!

  • what obout samsung galaxy s plus will it be ubgrated to ice cream sandwich????

  • Will the galaxy s2 be upgradeable to ICS?

  • @ohgeefreeks310 they announced q1 of this year for S2 and note.

  • wow that's just super laggy..!

  • It looks cool. The dude calls it fast but it looks a tad slow to me. I am a WP user and envy some of the Android features, but i really really like the live tiles and snappiness of the WP. But it's a tad too simple for me. Maybe... WP made iphone useless anyway

  • hey i think im going to pick up the rezound. Do you know when i could upgrade it to 4.0?
