This is a really random question but is your hair naturally this shiny or have you found a particular product that helps it? My mum's always going on at me about how my hair never looks shiny so I was just curious if you had any tips! Love the hairstyle!

@xIbaX I don't do anything special with my hair--I use pretty inexpensive shampoo and conditioner (though the conditioner is for thick, wavy hair, which is what I have). I *rarely* use any heat on my hair (like a blow dryer), and let it dry naturally. I also don't use a lot of other products in it (hairspray excepted ;). Otherwise I have to chalk it up to drinking a lot of water, eating well and genetics. :)

@Fancylooks Thank you! It definitely gets easier with practice; I find that at this point I can just throw it up in a few minutes like this! :) hehe--yeah, it's kind of silly they did search my hair! :p But better to be safe than sorry, I always say--I'm just glad they did their job. ;)

@elegantlyamused When my mom was in middle school, she knew a girl who kept a knife hidden in her beehive. She was from a rough neighborhood and it was apparently a somewhat common practice to conceal a weapon in your hair. So I'd say TSA's suspicions weren't totally off. :)

@lostxlikexalice I just want to clarify that I'm not complaining at all that TSA did search my hair--security is their job and I'm more than glad to see they're making sure nothing dangerous (or illegal) gets smuggled on flights! :) It was just a bit humorous (considering I've worn my hair in similar styles when flying before)--and wanted to warn ladies who may not have wanted to go through the process of being searched while going through security. :)

@elegantlyamused Oh, I didn't think you were complaining. I just thought it was a funny anecdote that might explain the policy. :) I haven't heard of any recent attempts at smuggling weapons in hair, so I'd imagine that's where it's coming from.

You inspire me to let my hair grow again! I have similar texture and amount of hair to yours, and I never knew what to do with it when it was long and ended up chopping it shorter and shorter until it was pretty much a buzz cut.
