I just discovered this post today. I am so sorry to hear of you health problems and wish you well and a speedy recovery. I'm anxiously looking forward to start classes with you when you are better. It is hard to find a hammered dulcimer teacher and the thing is so hard to lug around even if one does find a teacher somewhat nearby. Good luck I will be thinking good thoughts for you.

I don't know about lessons on a Webster, but the kind of technique we'll be studying will help with any variation of western HD.

A recent biopsy and ultra-sound concluded I have Hurthle Cell Carcinoma in my thyroid gland. It is a pretty rare kind (rather aggressive) of thyroid cancer but is treatable if caught early enough. We hope we have. I'll be having thyroid removal surgery June 7.

*** My part of Dulcimer School is on hold until I get this behind me, but Stephen Seifert is moving forward with the MD portion.
