OMG lol. I .. you guys crack me up. Honestly, that's an imaging artifact and you can see it on several other phobos pictures - it's part of the camara. This was debunked 20 years ago. I can't believe people still talk about it. Geez. Also the phobos craft had power problems because the russians don't know how to stay organized and keep their probes in working order - they should ask nasa for help.

I saw this same object hovering over the Luxor while i was on the roof of the Palms in Vegas March 2007 with many friends. At least 100 people out on the deck saw it and no one who worked there had seeen it before! There were a zillion bats flying around too. It was there for an hour and was the size of 5-10 747's!!!

It's a shot rumoured to be from the 1988 mission to Mar's moon Phobos. The story is that the satellite was lost, not before taking this image of Phobos showing an unknown object floating "behind" the moon.(behind meanning out of view from earth). That's what the picture is claimed to be. The rest of the story is that shortly after this image was taken, the satellite camera suddenly went dead.

There is a theoretical 'secret' apollo 20 mission that took place. NASAs official story is that there was not enough funding so they canceled 18 19 and 20. I don't believe that though. The International space station project is WAY more expensive than apollo 18, 19 and 20 combined.
