I like it, but it doesnt have that flare your other videos have. Maybe its the hall. Cause I like it, but there is just something about the sound in this place I dont like. GREAT JOB THOUGH!! lol
It was recorded from the balcony on a junky camcorder. A professional recording is coming. Also...these guys had VERY little time to learn this (two weeks) and two complete run-throughs!!!! Scary to know if they were going to stay together.
Its disappointing that they would only leave 2 weeks to learn the piece, but well done for getting it together in such a short amount of time. I much prefer the recording with piano, the flute part lacks the intensity and the cadenza isn't well thought out.
It was rented. There are many interpretations...but she didn't feel secure with the orchestra like she did her accompanist. We have an amazing video of her with Lorna McGee doing a masterclass on Ballade. Lorna describes Ballade very well. Will try to get some of it posted.
Oh...forgot, most of the strings were away in Europe with their High Schools and so there was a couple of weeks longer they had it but couldn't practice. Really great kids.
Muito bom... parabéns

Wow! great job! And you found a good youth symphony to play it too! I am also a proud owner of a Sonare as well.
