Also, as you said, the book came WAAAAAY before Twilight, and so has other amazing and great vampire books. Don't not watch it or bash it because it copying it off Twilight. I read the twilight series before I had even heard about the vampire diaries but I love them both! I like the differences cause twilight does stick to the love story ALOT whereas the vampire diaries branches out to different villans and other creatures! they're both good and if people would just stop comparing and enjoy them they'd be even better!
