Oh man! Absolutely loved waking up in the morning to this theme! The opening was one of the most energetic , funnest , and craziest openings in a cartoon. It was alot like ``This is Halloween'' , a hell of a roller coaster ride. My fav. part is at the end where Beetlejuice falls down with the tulip at 0:53.

I think that, in the 90s, there was the tacit understanding that kids were going to watch movies like this (or The Mask, or Ace Ventura), so they became cartoons. Sure, they weren't kids movies, but kids liked them anyway. Throughout most of the 2000s, TV execs refused to air anything that wasn't either squeaky clean, or D-grade anime dubs. Now, with shows like Adventure Time and Avatar, I think we might be seeing a resurgence of the kind of cartoons we used to have. And I couldn't be happier.

@ganondufus The 80s absolutely sucked for animation. All of the shows were toy tie-ins or babyfied versions, and cheapness/stiffness/overall lack-of-creativity was at an all time high. The 90s were certainly a renaissance thanks to the likes of people such as John K., Joe Murray, Stephen Hillenburg, Craig McCracken, Genndy Tartakovsky, and Mike Judge, and I'm glad to have lived through it, but nothing compares to the animation we got in the 30-50s. This is coming from an 18 year old.
