"Ran" by Akira Kurosawa was not only a worthy adaptation of King Lear, it improved on it. It is, in my opinion, one of the greatest films in history, if not the greatest. If you haven't seen it, see it ASAP.
TJ brought up the movie Irreversible in one of the interviews and then I heard him say "I like rape scenes" here. Now it makes sense why he liked Irreversible, that rape scene was the most graphic one I've ever seen. Though when I saw it, one guy said "even though it's a rape scene, I can't help but deny my dick gets a little hard just looking at this. I guess instinct never goes away, no matter what the context is."

the expression is couldn't care less... could care less means you could care a lot. i mean i wouldn't point this out if we were talking in real life because even i say could care less sometimes when i'm talking fast, but when you type it out wrong that means you really don't know how it is supposed to be said.

Very interesting, I to, hope the theater never dies. I also have that somewhat irrational belief that everything on stage is automatically better than a taped recording. Very interesting the point TJ made about no art form ever truly dying, I mean there are still ancient sword smiths out there (and we all know swords have no real utility in our society even). I suppose there is no such thing as a true dying art.

"Ran" by Akira Kurosawa was not only a worthy adaptation of King Lear, it improved on it. It is, in my opinion, one of the greatest films in history, if not the greatest. If you haven't seen it, see it ASAP.

TJ brought up the movie Irreversible in one of the interviews and then I heard him say "I like rape scenes" here. Now it makes sense why he liked Irreversible, that rape scene was the most graphic one I've ever seen. Though when I saw it, one guy said "even though it's a rape scene, I can't help but deny my dick gets a little hard just looking at this. I guess instinct never goes away, no matter what the context is."
