No one can understand someone who has suicidal thoughts, you may say you can but you just CAN'T. how do you know what we have been through in life? how can you say its going to be okay, a broken heart, a lost friend, a hopeless dream. those are reasons why and there are countless to follow. i put on a fake smile to everyone and cry at night to what i have lost and wont get back. the point is. you can't help someone who refuse to help themselves...its the way of life.....

You saved my life 2 days ago with this video. I watched it 4-5 times and bawled my eyes out. Everyone says the pain will go away, and for a time it did. Then on the year anniversary, right before valentines day, it all hit me again. The pain is back, the emotional torment returned, and all the promises I made ("I will never be the same") are fufilled. The pain only stops temporarily and I'm covered in inch deep physical and mental scars for life.
Ive been through 6 hospitalizations, 4 psychiatric wards, had 3 counselors, a psychiatrist and a team of doctors trying to prevent me from suicide. the meds didnt help... the lonliness still hurts more than any pain ive ever been through. Ive never been good at faking smiles, hiding cuts, and I would never consider myself strong. I am weak. Life is livable for 7 billion people. I'm not sure I'm one of them.
@Austinjlear I've been through that. The hospitalizations the lot. I know how much the lonliness hurts even if you have people around you. It's a cold and icy pain. You don't need to fake smiles or hide cuts, they're nothing to be ashamed of, they're fighting wounds, to show that you're still living. However you're wrong. You are strong, you are one of those 7 billion people, you know how I know? You wrote that comment. You're still here. And your body won't give up, even if your mind wants to.

As someone who has been there, it does get better, you never know what will happen in the future. Less than a year ago, I was depressed, suicidal and a routine cutter. Today, I'm happy, living life, and cut-free. I know it seems like things will never get better, but they will, trust me. It took almost a year, but now, things are so much better. I've met incredible new people and gotten so many new opportunities. And to think, I almost gave up before I reached here!

ever heard of kids help phone well last night i tried to chat with a counselor over the computer and no one even said a word i was there say Hello is anyone there and no one responded and last time i tried to call them they charged me long distance
I feel the need to point out that a lot of you are talking here as if I have no idea what it feels like to feel that low and to try to take my own life. I do, sadly know what that feels like, I have tried. I have been there. And it has got better, even if only for short periods of time, but those times when things aren't surrounded in darkness are times that I cherish. Life is never going to be easy, you're going to have bad days, but there are good days, and you should remember those.
@JJsHeart I don't know you personally and to post a video saying you care for people you don't even know it doesn't help some of the people watching this video every time i try to get help later ill feel even worse I don't want to feel like this and later on feel like shit for frightening my friends with suicide note texts and emails I feel confused a lot i even tried walking out in front of a car while hanging out with my friends they grabbed me and threw me off the road and yelled at me......

Way to guilt trip people by telling them they kill others around them when they try to end their pain. People grievie those they love no matter how they die. Why is suicide the only form of death in which people blame the person who almost died for the pain of others?
I can't say it gets better because for me it hasn't, I am alone and this doesn't change when someone holds up a piece of paper. It's not personal, it's not tangible, it may work on some but not me. I'm so disconnected from my family to the point where it feels as if I'm a burden, and as for my "friends", not a real genuine person in the bunch. I can't say it gets better because for me it hasn't, I am alone and this doesn't change when someone holds up a piece of paper. It's not personal, it's not tangible, it may work on some but not me. I'm so disconnected from my family to the point where it feels as if I'm a burden, and as for my "friends", not a real genuine person in the bunch. I hate my life, it's so pointless and so heavy with bull shit that I can't find a single reason why to live....

This is amazing, It hits hard to hear about suicide i know, Because i've tried to commit suicide 14 times, 4 of them ended me in hospital. I got help, And although things are often still tough. I have horribly abusive parents, I cant call anyone cause they threatened to kill me before they arrive - as im sitting here locked in my room cause "i dont deserve happiness" when all I did was accidentally hit a table and they assumed i did it in anger, then they yelled and hit me. I was going to down pain killers tonight and die. as I was thinking about the girl i never yet asked out and all of my friends.
