I could look at comanche pictures all day. My grandfather owns a 250, white and blue. It's a hell of an aircraft, very beautiful too. My hands still smell like areoshell grease number 5 :)
I have only seen one of these in my time up close. It looks very roomy and sleek. I would love to fly one some day. What kind of cruise speed do they achieve?
cruise with manifold set at 23 inches, and prop pitched back to 2400 rpm on our commanche 260b is about 150 knots or 180 mph. its a fast comfortable nice airplane.
The single engine Comanche was a great aeroplane. Cant say that for the twin version.

sleek,fast,great load carrier and very powerful. Brilliant aircraft. With 260hp and variable pitch prop, the acceleration is phenomenal.
