Texans talk all tough about guns and rights, but how many of those toll cameras get shot out anually? Cmon, just shoot all of the cameras out, they cant collect tolls then, yet we have the road still.....Germany started putting up cameras to ticket people on the autobahn, I didnt see a single one that wasnt shot. I guess the Germans actually walk the walk while Texans talk the talk.

I'm an indy-conservo and it pisses me off that CAMPO is turning some of our existing freeways into toll roads. I'd like to know who's paying for the advertising for some of these projects too. Are our tax dollars going to pay for advertising to push this crap? I usually won't side with liberals but this issue is purple. I own two businesses and will hopefully start a 3rd soon. If that pans out I will LEAVE AUSTIN and take my tax dollars with me. Kill CAMPO, Stop RAPING Austinites..

New toll roads are ok, but this plan to make existing roads into toll roads is nothing less than piracy! We've already paid to build them and now the state is demanding that we pay again? Unless I woke up in Russia this morning, that sounds like double taxation to me.

You don't have to believe in stupid conspiracies like the black helicopter crap to understand that it is just WRONG to steal tax payer funded right-of-way on existing highways and convert them to tollways!! The R.O.W. has already been paid for, now TXDOT wants us all to pay for it AGAIN. Who wants to live in a town where 3/4ths of the expressways are tolled??? That's what will happen if Phase II gets passed!
