My L300 with Centrino processor still runs very quick after 3+ years ... very happy with it except now the battery is not charging anymore which is just part of normal replacement.

He he... I got this... Well the L300D-12I which is the same looking computer, Just this one has an extra GB of ram, It's great for gaming... NOTE: Get vista of this computer, RIGHT NOW! With windows xp and 4 gb of ram and the laptops amazing graphics card, It's amazing. P.S. Recently the touchpad has gone weird, I do leave it running for mass amount of time though... Maybe the heat has killed the inside of the computer?

I can't even load anything without it freezing now. It will freeze every minute for about 5 minutes. Sometimes even loading safe mode is hard enough. 2 x 1Gb of RAM and still the computer uses 50% of it when hardly anything is running. Something must have died, probably the RAM

Yuk, mine sucks. 30 minutes of battery, overheats in less than 5 minutes, the fan is super loud, the left click button is sinking and it is as slow as hell to turn on.

I have a Toshiba Satellite, not sure which model. but it has this problem...whenever I leave it alone for about 20 minutes it will freeze on me. I have to let a playlist of music play or let a movie play whenever i go do something or it will just freeze up. anyone know the problem? i have this laptop (on it now). if you do get this laptop with vista i recommend you get norton 360 for it. its a nice laptop tho.. nice graphics card, good web cam and the battery life is ok. i would rate this laptop at 8.0 out of 10.

Ya, pretty good for games. Certainly not as good as a desktop or gaming PC, but it's pretty good for gaming for the price. I play the Sims 3 on it, no problems. If you're just using it for games, then you must be into lots of games. I use mine for word processing, surfing the net, and playing some games once in a while. You should go for a gaming laptop since you're just using it for games, so try an Alienware, Voodo, basically a gaming laptop. But this is good for some games, and work.

toshiba is one of best laptop brands in town..ive had toshiba from the start now i own this same model and it works perfectly i just upgraded it with a 4 gb 800 series ram keep it cool with a cooling fan and maintain ur laptop clean and all programs runnings i dnt think you will have any problems....

Are you using a display driver that isn't from Toshiba directly? A friend of me had the same issue that the notebook was freezing with a 3rd party display driver. Then he installed the Toshiba driver and the freezes gone. I can also recommend to clean the notebook from time to time using compressed air spray. That's really useful and you will have a cool notebook after this.
