  • David the Gnome...for being on Nick Jr. it sure had a lot of nudity! I remember seeing David's hairy butt as he exited the bathtub. And today Fred Penner would be Fred Pennerphile.... In the commercial he says "I want to have fun with you." Can you think of all the ways that could be taken today?!

  • Boy that Encyclopedia Britannica commercial brings back memories. I remember that like it was almost yesterday.

  • i remember this Nick Jr stuff cos i had little cousins that lived with me in 1992. ... but truly, this is worth it just for the Ren and Stimpy ident at the end!

  • "they're endangered...."

    "i know."

  • i remember fred penner

  • Gearios,no wikipedia, ren and stimpy.......hmmmm YUP! seems like my Childhood!

  • Does anyone remember this intro to Nick Jr, it was long before face. The camera was positioned to be you (the child watching) as it moved along into a hot air ballon with other kids, and when the ballon fired up the kids waved to the man at the ground and they had a picnic inside the ballon while going into the diffrent shows..Anyone else remember this or anything close too it?

  • I feel conflicted...I remember david the gnome, lil bits and eureeka's castle. (and shows that came after) but I dont remember the fred guys place or the koala show. Its a little confusing Oo

BUT I totally remember that block commercial now lol

  • omg!! i remember the blonde-haired dude from the encyclopedia commercial!!!

  • encyclopedia's are endangered now. DAMN YOU WIKIPEDIA!!!!!

  • David the Gnome - worst finale ever

    look it up

  • @drumdreamer92 Yeah...I was so sad.

  • @drumdreamer92 I remembered when David died I cried like a newborn lol. God I loved that show!

  • @apachette07-That's hilarious - I used to watch David the Gnome with my little sister;she was two and loved watching it. I was in the 4th or 5th grade, and at first had no interest in watching it, but then it became a guilty pleasure of mine. That show was truly awesome!

  • @IntelInside2020 LOL yeah David the Gnome was quite addicting. I remember I couldn't wait to come home from school and watch it. I think I was in kindergarten I believe. The television in the living room STAYED on Nick lol. I'm glad you shared a love for the show as well. I watched tons of episodes but can only remember 2. Lol. That show rocked!

  • Wow, now Nick Jr doesn't even have commercials. They have the moose that teaches the kids their letters and numbers. Then you have the shows that are uninterrupted. Man, I miss being little and watching the commercials and wishing I could have all the stuff in the commercial! Except the encyclopedias

  • DAVID THE GNOME = BEST SHOW EVER

  • Those Gearios look badass. I'm 15 and I still think those look fun.

  • I remember "BRITANICA ADVANTAGE"

  • I have never loved a commercial break so much in my life.

  • I ALWAYS watched David the Gnome! It was on with Litt'l Bits, Eureka's Castle, Papa Beaver's Story Time, and Classic Grimm's Fairy Tales! Oh man, I miss those days.

  • The closed captioning interprets the audio hilariously.

  • @MrROFLOL That was really funny. apparently the encyclopedias have a "snack section."

  • @MrROFLOL YEAH LOL....."Thank you January" ...."He has a really hard life...." xD

  • a sudden whiff of nostalgia...i feel old watching this and i'm only 21

  • I wonder if we can still order Gerios

  • @Danielt104 Encyclopedia Britannica>Encyclopaedia Dramatica!

  • it brings me back memories watcing the lil bits.the koala bears, noodles, maya the bee with my little 2 of my nephews now teens today.i love watching those cartoon back then.

  • 6th person down from me: my family lives in a bad neighborhood with alot of people on the streets and no other kids to play with):

  • Ah yes, back when women had poofy hair and sweaters were the in-thing.

And, much like other people, I remember every single one of these commercials. Man, thanks for the upload.

  • My school uses "Gearios", except they don't spin..or do anything...

  • "I like to have fun with you!!!!" OMG that was sooo creepy back in the day..

I didn't really like Nick JR that much, I was only 4 but I liked Little Bear!

  • Yay Adventures Of The Little Koala!

  • i just called the number to get some Gearios and it was busy. lol

  • its sad to see that all kids wanna do these days is sit on there ass an play xbox & wii an eat all day! wut ever happend to tha good ol days where kids wanted to play outside all day? jump rope, skip it, ridin bikes, playin at tha park? im jus glad i got to be part of tha 90s when lyfe as a kid wus fun & worth it. i feel bad for all these kids now whos parents dnt care wut they do an let um ruin their childhood wit shit thats gonna hit um later in lyfe, such as all these poinless videogames!!

  • You sound like my mother. To answer your question, videogame are more advance now than they were back then. Thus, these 21st century kids are hooked on them We were lucky to have games where the character move up and down as well as side-ways. If i were 16 years young living in this time period, I would probaly be outside enjoy life since TV today is crappy compared to what we had 15-20 years ago. 20 century rules!!

  • omg...WHY THE HELL DID I SMILE WHEN I SAW THIS? I REMEMBER EVERY COMMERCIAL!

  • OMG!!!! Encyclopedias commercial! and those frikken geario blocks! they would show those commercials every other break ALL the time. lol

  • man i miss the old nick.nick needs to go back as it was

  • Nick should just play everything from the 90's onto the next decade, with old commercials and all. Think of it like an enormous clip that is 10 years long. I don't think anyone will mind, plus it will show kids today what real shows/cartoons look like.

  • Oh boy, this takes me back to summer vacation 1989 (when I was 6). I'd always be the first to wake up and catch David the Gnome. Then my brother would wake up and join me when Pinwheel came on.

  • Amazing, Nick Jr. was more adult thing before with all those ads of buying things with credit cards

  • i had gearios

  • this is amazing! i remembered every single one of these commercials! memories!! i remember i wanted the gearios!!! haha

  • holly crap!

i remember all these commercials LOL

  • WOW !! A time before you could find Gearios on Ebay.. When you needed Encyclopedias because the Internet was just getting started & Ren & Stimpy weren't gay ! Damn ! it all looks like it was from the 70's ! 0_o

  • @wingnut4427 Not to mention shows like Fred Penners Place wouldn't exist because resembles pedophilia too much.

  • wtf i want some gerios im calling that number NOW! even though it prollyt doesnt exist anymore...

  • gearios still look like they blow

  • God, I hated those encyclopedia commercials.

  • What do you know? David the Gnome was an awesome cartoon series and I miss it!!!

  • Yeah, and i wouldn't be surprised

if that's where Travelocity got the idea

    for their traveling gnome mascot!

  • 0:28 WTF Were they afraid to show kissing on kids tv?

  • Its an eskimo kiss... and its for children!

  • Encyclopedia Britannica is like a miniature portion of Wikipedia in the 20th century! XD

  • i had gearios when i was 5

  • wow

  • That brings back memories...

  • OMG I wanted gearios when I was a kid, I was a little older too if I remember correctly. Now my kids see those type commercials and want the same junk. And that's what it is too, junk. :P

  • 1:20

  • How dare you speak ill of David the Gnome. AWESOME Cartoon.

  • nickelodeon sucks now

  • So does The Disney Channel. It's not even about Mickey Mouse & Donald Duck anymore. But I guess you gotta change with the times and hire kids who can star in shows while at the same time have music careers.

  • yeah but i mean it isn't even kids now if you think about it, it's all about dating and drama.

  • Oh, how I wish these days would come back!!!!

  • so does everyone.......I'M GONNA COMPLAIN!!

  • XD I agree.

Lets all complain like children, hopefully we'll get someone's attention.

  • The Guy in the Encyclopedia Britannica Commercial is definately the guy from the ShamWow Commercial.
