  • RUSSIAN ARMY AND USA ARMY ARE CONTROLED BY THE SAME GANG.DONT BE FOOLED BY THAT.

  • Dear santa...

  • @iRawrJan No, you must ask Father Frost :)

  • rambo in action !!

  • Back in the early 80's were taught (M-1 Abrams Cremen) avoid the Hind at all cost, don't attempt to fire on it and hope it doesn't see you. This is not bullshit and if anyone was a tanker back them you will have heard that to. The Hind was a badass S.O.B.

  • @TheChuck624 I was a 19K (M1A1 Tanker) just 10 years ago and they still say that!

  • @airbrusha19k even the abrams is vulnerable to a helicopter, isnt the exhaust like 1000+ degrees? so a heat seeker could lock on it? but even a few rockets to the exhaust port or top of the turret could knock out most tanks, and disable every tank i know of. i wouldnt want to cross paths with a hind in any thing that wasnt a fighter, and even then it has confirmed kills on jet aircraft. but i still think the apache has higher quality pilots, even if the engines are more delicate than the hind's.

  • Music sucks.

  • Im sure they could put another weapon system in there somewhere, theres gotta be room for something LOL

  • Nice porn music.

  • Nevertheless the Afghans called it "The angel of death" and it gave them a hard time until the CIA sent them shoulder launched missiles. But that was 20+ years ago.

  • @Gianni7381 Firstly, the Mi-24 design goes back to 60s, so it is not really a top-tech machine, secondly, avoiding SAM missiles is pretty harder for an helicopter, anyway there have been many upgrades for the Mi-24, it is still absolutely a powerful and useful machine.

  • sky alligator :)

  • Didn't know there was a variant which equipped zeus on the side like that, pretty bad arse.

  • OMG dis is da chopper from call of duty black ops!!!! omgomgomgomg

  • these things are so darn big and heavy D: how the fuck did they out maneuver AH Cobras?!?!?

  • I think it's every infantryman's nightmare to see a chopper with weapons onboard aiming at you. The Apache and MI24 are different due to different doctrines. Sure the Army could strap on some 2500 HP engines, but the Apache really isn't meant to charge right in.

  • song?

  • You advertised this as a video, NOT a damn slideshow.

  • we got taught that the russian weapon like ak-47 hind mig and more are BAD!!! but i take it as a BAD-ASS!!!!

  • name of the song at 0:40 ??? (reminds me a litle of anime or an ace combat game )

  • Yes the Russians made some mean equipment and spent a lot of money on it. To bad they couldn't give their people a decent standard of living like Western Europe has good hospitals, plentiful food, decent health care and housing and an honest police force.

  • @rag5206

In Soviet times people had a decent standard of living.

Many western health care systems and other social services adopted ideas from Soviet social network.

Come on man, don't just think up stuff because it fits some stereotypes you've heard about.

  • @Suyamu I work with 2 former Soviet academics they migrated to Australia to get decent health care 4 their son they said they had to bribe Russian Health Officials 2 get treatment for him. They had to bribe Housing Officials 4 semi decent housing. The whole Soviet system seemed 2 be based on bribes & corruption. Please explain how many American or Western refugees fled to Russian for political freedom of speech & a better standard of living, it seems migration was always Soviet to Western World?

  • @Suyamu That's why when the door opened Russians started fleeing en masse to the West, right?

They may have had a decent standard of living v. Czarist Russia, but the Soviet system was mired in corruption and materiel inadequacy. Food lines were common at Moscow markets throughout the death throes of the Soviet regime. Shortages of all vital goods and services were commonplace.

There is a reason the Soviet Union collapsed from within.

  • @Redmanfms

The 90ies were bad times in Russia, that's why many people left.

The west was buying up talented people.

I was talking about Soviet times - not post Soviet.

  • @Suyamu People started leaving the Soviet Union as soon as the door opened because the 70's and 80's were bad times for the Russian people.

The Soviet Union collapsed because it was incapable of providing the goods and services that Leninist Marxism promised to provide. Quality of life in USSR was terrible and Russians started to see the truth about this when glasnost permitted freedom of information. Russians saw how Westerners lived and were pretty upset about the stark difference.

  • @Redmanfms

The Soviet Union collapsed because of mismanagement pure and simple.

I'll repeat it as often as you want, quality of life during Soviet times was good - it started to suck in the last years and post disintegration of the SU.

What you're thinking about is standard of living.. yeah, you've had the shinier cars, congratulations - that doesn't lessen the quality of life in the Soviet Union.

  • @Suyamu Quality of life and standard of living are usually used interchangeably. It wasn't just about shinier cars. Westerners had/have greater selection and quality when it came to almost every conceivable product, food, household goods, you name it. The Soviets experienced food shortages almost continually from the very beginning. There were famines and mass refugee migrations throughout its 80-year history.

You can keep repeating the Communist line, that doesn't make it any more factual.

  • @Suyamu None of this has anything to do with the Mi-24 however and this isn't really the forum for such a discussion.

  • @rag5206 well now they are doing both things - arming the army and feeding and healing the people

  • @Wolfgamer94 I wish Russia a secure future as they help contain Chinese expansion. However their media is still govt. controlled when u see Ukranian leaders poisoned, journalists murdered at home & political whistle blowers poisoned in London restrauants by Russian Secret Service u have to ask will Russia b a real Democracy? Did u read the story about Russian Soliders fed Dog Food Maj.Matveyev was dismissed 4 telling media. Pres. Medvedev said corruption is rampant in Russia security forces

  • RUSSIA No.1 !!!!

  • i like the hind with the 12.7mm minigun better than the one wth the twin GSh-23L

    cannons

  • @helicopterwar247 those cannons are much more powerful, letting the chopper engage targets that are armoured.

  • what a beautyfull beast

  • @rbnsc1

Beautiful?, Well I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The Hind is one mean, ugly predator.

  • By far one of my favorite Attack Helicopters.

  • Apache eat your heart out

  • That is one ugly, lumpy, nasty looking thing........but damn it works! The epitomy of Russian technology.......rough, brutal, but effective!

  • @stegatops it's not ugly!

  • Ok then............"interesting".

  • looks so badass

  • I'm a great admirer of this helicopter !

  • Best ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The ultimate combination of brutality and sleekness.

  • this is such a bad ass looking chopper, but it is also very scary looking lol

  • Reminds me of call of duty 4

  • the hind has been in service for almost fifteen years and is still one of the most powerful helicopters on the planet. Gotta love the Russian's flawless engineering and destruction capabilities.

  • @mrbones652 almost fifteen this thiings been in use since the 70's

  • This thing can get hit by an RPD in the engine and not go down, get hit by an RPG and not go down, but barely land, and you say it can be destroyed in one hit by SONIC THE HEDGEHOG???!!!!

  • US choppers are getting shot down by airsoft pistols

  • in soviet russia block buster rent you

  • Aw fer f's sake, I know it's catchy, filmy, actiony/whatevery to have action-movie like music in these videos but what about some videos where I can actually hear what's happening there? You know, I'd like to here their engines, their rotors spinnin' , rockets firing, etc.

  • Aw fer f's sake, I know it's catchy, filmy, actiony/whatevery to have action-movie like music in these videos but what about somne videos where I can actually heare whats happening? You know, I'd like to here their engines, their rotors spinnin' , rockets firing, etc.

  • how do all you have top 10 army helicopters and stuff if im gonna assume you've never fought in wars and you couldn't have fought with mreo then 10 helicopters so is it just you like the look of them

because the hind looks pretty cool and big

  • russian hind kicks ass it's like a flying tank

  • its funny how some people speak ill about russians...yet they like the hind and ak-47...and the btr,and the bmp,and most russian weaponary

  • its like whole milletary post chasing you,and before you die you light the cigarete and say what the fuck ....

  • nice

  • This helicopter is very good but it has been 40 years

  • I want to fly one, too! If heaven exists, this is the chopper guarding its air space, ready to send anyone who dare attack straight to hell.

  • what is the song please

  • What MW2 fags would know as the 'Attack Helicopter' for the Spetsnaz, OpFor, or Militia teams.

  • @Agent1W um dude... the attack helicopter for cod games is the cobra.... your thinking of the gunship...

  • @DRAGONIRONFIST Well yeah, 'attack helicopter' meaning the basic 7-kill reward. The Cobra goes with the NATO-aligned forces, and the Hind for the "Comm-bloc" forces.

  • @Agent1W ohhh yeah true true ya got me, i was so into black ops =P my bad XD

  • @Agent1W Only if you still live in 20 years past :))) Today there is no "Comm-bloc" forces.

In 2004-2005 Polish Hind were flying in Iraq alongside US Apaches, operating from same air base. I even have a picture.

    -

Basically major super-powers have learned that their own weapons sold to third countries can be turned against themselves.

  • @BitnikGr Not Comm-bloc as in power but perhaps locale. There's West and East. The Eastern countries get these kinds of weapons.

  • @Agent1W Again... correction... "were getting". Today most of Eastern European countries are in NATO. They don't get "these kinds of weapons" anymore. NATO country won't buy a "Hind".

Look at the map. World changes constantly. Don't live in 80s. :)

  • @BitnikGr Ah ok. So "third-party" customers would get these weapons, perhaps third-world despots.

  • @Agent1W US, S. Arabia, Brazil, Cyprus, Indonesia, India.

Not only poor third world countries buy Mi-24/35. Not only dictatorship regimes buy Mi-24/35.

Man, no offense, but you have to brake off your stereotypes... really. :)

More "Hinds" fly in US than many poor third-world countries with despotism rule can afford :)))

  • @BitnikGr nato doesnt change anything in countries, which are included in nato. Latvia was a slave of the europe before NATO - she remained slave after NATO. And btw, europe is getting tired of constant american dictation what to do and how to do. the end is not so far as you can think.

  • @SpySolidLiquid How exactly Latvia was a slave of Europe when it was a Soviet Repiblic for half of century? :)

  • @Agent1W no they knez it s the hind

  • defenseless against stingers...it has only flares against heat sinking missiles.....Russia found out the hard way in their vietnam war.......

  • @ducati0000

defenceless... heat SINKING missiles.. VIETNAM..... MEGALOL!!!! how about u go learn how to write, never mind a few facts about history in general and this machine in particular, before slandering tech you know nothing about anonymously on the internet little man. wait, whats that? dinner must be ready because i think i hear your mother calling down to the basement.

  • @nanchoengineering

i think ducati000 was referring to afghanistan as the russian vietnam. hinds were invulnerable to most ground fire but stingers proved very effective (even using flares the size, position and lack of heat baffles on their engine exhausts made them very vulnerable to IR missiles).

  • @torped0vegas stingers were not THAT effective as most people think

in 1987 on september 7th, a mi-24 was hit by 6 stinger rockets and could return to the base...

the bord engeneer died on the way to the military hospital by bleeding to death because a shrapnel disrupted his artery on the thigh, but pilot and operator survived the ambush unharmed

it depends on where you hit the helicopter

however, the mi-24 has the best survival rate of all military helicopters in history.

    1st grade helicopter!

  • @gazakind

no argument, of course it depends where it gets hit. my point was that while it is very tough it is not suited to avoiding missiles. easily my favourite helicopter. so so ugly

  • @gazakind: Agreed. However even with its survivability Stingers having the capability of dealing damage was a threat. Drastically changing how the Hinds operate. Also Stingers could shoot down cargo planes while flying low. So yeah. |

To note the Mujahideen had more weapons and better than the taliban today :)

  • @torped0vegas: If you further study the two wars I don't agree that the Soviet Afghan war is equivalent to Vietnam. Vietnam was obviously more costly, waste more people, more civilian and military casualties, blind bombing of whole valleys and villages, more chaotic fighting, and unlike the Mujahideen the Viet Cong and the North Vietnamese Army were very much in control of the conflict. Having intelligence that practically knew almost everything USA was planning.

  • @1942tj fair enough, i don't really know either in that much detail. i just meant that the two are broadly comparable in that both the americans and russians had great advantage in resources and technology but did not succeed accordingly. mainly i just wanted to point out that ducati0000 did not deserve the hate mail he was receiving for his comment

  • @torped0vegas NO helicopter is made to avoid helicopter..

i hope you know what you are talking about.. because if you take any helicopter which are moving with about 120-160 km/h marching speed...

and if you take the stinger rocket with a speed of 3100km/h ord the 9K38 which has a speed of 3400 km/h, i think all discuassions are finished..

a helicopter cant avoid a guided aa-rocket... its just to slow..

  • @gazakind

of course the odds are not good for any heli with aa rockets coming at it. speed was not the point though. i was referring to design features of newer helis that minimise the target they present to a ground-launched IR rocket, eg placement, direction and baffling of engine exhausts (see AH64). Mi24 design does not incorporate these features, presumably because it was not foreseen that it would face manpads. thus, even using flares it still presents a big IR target..

  • @torped0vegas hate mails are annoying. See you round.

  • @ducati0000 The Hind wasn't in Vietnam ...

  • @ducati0000 The vast majority of U.S. helicopters have very little hope if a missile gets on their tail... it's all about tactics; flying below radar and avoiding detection.

  • @l3attlel2oyal Name one aircraft that dose have a chance if if someone gets on there tail with a missile? Is there one?

  • @ducati0000

wow, so much uneducated stupidity in one post.

Aside from the fact that there were no russians (or hinds) in vietnam, the Stinger is an IR-guided missile which is what is generally refered to a "heat-seeking missile" and thats what flares are supposed to protect against by obscuring the heat signature. American Helicopters use the same.

  • @2ane actually most if not all by this point of american helicopters use laser guided missiles not heat seeking.

  • @cosbyfish

not for air to air. aa is usually passive/semi-active IR or radar guided - it is too hard to paint a target that is flying around

  • Russian Classic instrument of doom

  • @SlavaSvarogu In russia classic instruments play you. :D

  • @SlavaSvarogu That's funny. But it ain't bringing doom to nothing for America in ww3.

  • @NWFWMbudwieser

no one need fight America in ww3,Chineses,Latinos and niggers emigrants will destroy USA from inside:)))

  • @SlavaSvarogu LOOOOOOOOOOL

  • look like the hind can also transport a small ammount of troops??

  • @Fowtowsjop Yep. It can carry 8 soldiers with full equipment.

  • What a sexy chopper.

  • Mi-24 Hind= American nightmarry...

  • @Aslambeek Not really, I sleep peacefully at night because I know MI 24's are a prey to a stinger missle; that's if they don't chop off their own rotor in a sharp turn.

  • @desertstorm1989 dont forget about mi 28 hahahah

  • see K-50 Black Shark

  • j'aimerai bien en voir un de pres

  • Russian POS.

  • I think they're sexy as hell.

  • @knigthfigth being how it's a masculine machine and not feminine in any way . . . that's and extremely gay comment.

  • @captainpegs07 rofl you nimrod, don't take it so literally, you oughta know I meant it was an awesome piece of metal and not something I wanna stick my penis in. Or else you're a inbred fkin' lost cause, I don't get you people who have to argue about every single thing on youtube? Why can't you just let me think the chopperfuck is sexy? Mind your own biznezz.

  • @knigthfigth Read Sigmund Freud

  • @captainpegs07 why? what does Dr Freud say regarding battle vehicle eroticism and its links to homosexuality? presumably anyone who likes vehicles that carry phallic symbols like, well, guns, rockets etc must also love the cock. what does that imply for the people who crew these vehicles? ps i agree with knightfgth (and many others), Mi24 is a sexy machine

  • @torped0vegas No there are feminine autos/vehicles. Toyota Prius, for example. My prior analysis was correct. Why dig back 5 pages on youetube comments, anyways?

  • @captainpegs07

i take your point on the prius

as for being 5 pages back, i was replying to a comment someone left me and happened to see your argument with knightftgh. sorry if it brought up some things for you, do you want to talk about it? pull up a beanbag, let's rap.

just out of interest, what does freud say about men who love helicopters? and if i like a prius but not a hind, does that make me hetero or gay? and the next logical question is: which do you prefer?

  • @captainpegs07 OR you just stfu and mind your own business, thanks douchebag.

  • @knigthfigth you're the one getting a little boner on the masculinity of the MI-24 HIND

  • @knigthfigth And what does that have to do with you? If you take it that literally which you do, you're not even worth arguing with. And it's a fucking helicopter it's not masculine neither is it feminine, but it IS sexy. Stop lurking around "Debate"tube trying to find something to argue about all the time, if you're so into arguing just become a fucking politician, now stfu.

  • il take down a hind with my red rider bb gun no joke thats just how ninja i am

  • Hind is probably the only thing on the world wich is fat but so beautifull :D love it

  • I love the 80's intense music for this, reminds me of the game "Ace Combat" for playstation 1 hahaha. But my favorite kind of helicopter.

  • flying tank

  • ?! how can you compare mi24 and apache? oO

they are completely different and designet for different things

its the same like you compare a truck and a car...

  • @gazakind Maybe because they are both attack helicopters?

  • @dsm375

    bullshit

    mi24 is a personel carrier

you can compare it to your "see hawk" but not to apache..

you can compare apahe to ka-52 or ka-50

  • I love the russian design on weapons and military vehicles. Hind is my fav helicopter of all time, both in weapon load and design.

  • @Johannicus i agree 100%

  • @Johannicus

    Same here.

  • @Johannicus its ugly but beastly... lol... love it

  • @Johannicus Agreed - If I had the money to buy a personal ex-military helicopter, I'd buy the Hind... :-)

  • @Trusisaliability

probly but the longbow apache would do better at night ops. withs its radar on the top

  • really cool, but the longbow would win in a firefight

  • @Mellowdev

Not if the Hind fired first, also the Longbow doesn't carry troops.

The Hind is the perfect Helicopter, the only reason we don't use it is because its Russian made.

  • I too think it would becouse its more agile.

The Hind have place for passegers that adds extra space and weight.

The Mi-24 Hind must be the best helicopter if you have to deliver a group of soldiers in a hot zone, waste a tank make some terror on the enemy and get out.

To compete the apache longbow there are the Mil Mi-28 Havoc or Ka-50 Black Shark.

All of those three are more hunters than the Hind.

But I just love the Hind!

  • @Mellowdev perhaps what model mi24 the new G looks like the battlefield bad company 1 and frankly the hind has A SHITLOAD MORE PROTECTION THEN SMALL APACHE IT COULD RAM IT

  • It sure looks powerful and cool, but isn't it, like all helicopters, extremely vulnerable to RPGs? I mean one heat seeking rocket, and this beast will probably go down.

  • They were vulnerable to stingers in Afghanistan, but that was in the 80s, like almost 30 years ago. Now they have countermeasures. No countermeasure is perfect, but no missile is either, fair game.

  • No they are not vulnerable to RPGs ,but they are to SAMs . RPGs are meant to defeat ground targets and only a 'monkey' will use it to try to hit a helicopter.

  • I'm not a specialist in military technology, I meant weapon systems like the Javelin and the Stinger.

  • taliban took down some chinooks in afghanistan .. .

  • RPGs aren't heat-seeking. Secondly, it can withstand 50 cal fire, while an Apache can be (and was) downed by AK-47

  • nope, hind have good protect from stingers.

  • They're especially vulnerable to heat-seeking missiles because the exhaust vents are positioned underneath the rotors, without countermeasures those things will go down in one hit, I believe.

  • @Henners1991 USSR lost 37 Hinds from AA-missiles(all Stinger) in Afghanistan. Only 4(four) from single hit. Totally registered ~600 hits, sometimes 3-4 per helo, and thousands on launches. Surviving champions:

    1. 8 hits from Red-eye(explodes after direct contact with target) in one helo. RTB, repaired, nobody even wounded.

    2. 6 hits from Stinger(explodes near target). RTB, retired due to heavy damage. 1 men died.

  • they was still losing so many helis that they pulled out of afghan and admited defeat

  • @101andrewj If only you had looked into what you just said. Learn what the Afghanistan war was about, the loss of helicopters had very little to do with the withdrawal.

  • @RedPower012 right..... i guess it had to do with the fact that they lost so many pilots who was flying those helis and fixed wing aircraft + the fact that there government was failing

  • The USSR sure did a god job designing this beast, i cant belive how many people try to compare this to an Apache though, thik about it:

The crew and passengers can operate in NBC conditions

it is capable of carrying bombs, rockets, people, and is very well armoured

  • People compare it to Apache because they do similar tasks. Apache is a glass cannon though.

  • Apache and mi-24 got no similar tasks... Apache was designed on the bases of cobra I think in 60's and Mi 24 Hindwas designed in 60's too, but for a different purpose... it is a heavy attack helicopter... can take X amount of troops aboard! Mi-28 Havoc on the other hand is in the same league as Apache... but again! they are all constructed in 60's and 70's...

  • I don't give a penny for this chopter, did you see what Rambo did to one of them in Rambo 1!?

  • hahahahaaa....

Rambo killed 500 men (or so). If that was in life american army would have 10 000 rembo-solders. Thats would qwite enough for destroy any army in the world

    Learn more from moooovie :)))))

  • there is a difference between films and reality my friend

  • I think everyone here can agree the Mi-24 is an amazing helicopter and would give ground forces a run for its money but it still hasn't solved that major flaw in helicopters... "Hey look at me, I'm a big very slow moving target that EVERYONE can see." Tanks have the same flaw.

  • but the hind has an amazing survivability rate. It can take an RPG to the tail rotor, and still fly. (That has happened before!)

  • Yes it does, but that does not save its crew or it from a surprise Jet Fighter.

  • And in all honesty, I would prefer to fly this then an Apache. Either way though, you still have a low life expectancy.

  • well, of course you have a low life expectancy... your getting shot at after all. But in my opinion i think that the hind seems to be capable of taking more damage. but if your up against a jet fighter or in a dogfight its better off to be in a plane than in a chopper.

  • The Hind is probably the scariest-looking thing in the sky - I would hate to have one come up on my while I was walking out in the open or something.

  • Not if you had a Stinger. =)

  • True that

  • LOL stinger isn't dangerous for HIND. In afghanistan when stinger missle hited Mi-24, 90% that helicopter can still fly. Only double hit in both engines can destroy Mi-24

  • LOL That's B.S.

  • ultimate argument

  • watch "MI-24 HIND- Wings of the red star part 4" hind was designes before shoulder launched missles nowadays attack helicopters are small and nimble and use ground as cover.hind isn't made for modern day battlefield its absolete.still impressive machine though

  • Strela ;)

  • A-10 is scarier imo

  • Imagine being a tank operator and seeing one bearing down on you

  • "OH hey Hind... about this whole war thing, can we talk this out?"

  • @lemonrhyme13 i agree its big its scay and it carries a shit load of rockets and guns

  • @lemonrhyme13 every time one comes towards me while we are working on the mil. base i am scared as shit even from the sight.

  • @lemonrhyme13 dude wut bout a ac130???

  • @DiceKid2008 you would probably be dead by the time you actually spotted the ac130

  • @DiceKid2008 looks like a passenger plane.

  • MI-24, realy is a pride of Soviet UNion ....

  • apache longbow is in worlds top 10 list in place 1. cobra is in place 4 and hind in place 6.

  • what about Ka-50 ?

  • Comment removed

  • Did they fire the TV-Missile?
