Wow Peter Green was the guitar hero that most people missed. Real legend real god (and I love Clapton but man was this guy so so much better...ask eric he will confirm this!!!)
The Original Single.... even though the end fades out, those last few bars stay with you forever!. I've lost count of how many times I've put this on a jukebox and
been asked "Who and what, is that Amazing Record?". "Peter Green" "Never
heard of him" "Albatross" "Oh yeah!" "Oh Well, Man of the World, Need Your Love So Bad and Black Magic Woman". They know them all, but just not who it is!.
He still loves playing and sounds great. Probably his best recent album is a his Robert Johnson tribute double album - one cd is all Robert Johnson and the other is Peters versions and they are really good. I met him twice and joined a Peter Greens Fleetwood Mac tribute band in 2005. Ive posted a few songs we recorded on my channel if you want to listen.
@Just4Meeeee 1970. Peter the Great - a true British hero. Way ahead of his time.
Love the bloke. When I read about "Jewish Rock and Roll Greats" by yanks and that bassist of Kiss is mentioned and Peter Greenberg ISN'T it makes my fucking blood boil.And no - Im a W.A.S.P
poor pete :/

@cicadagodking
Yes, the guitar broke Peter Green's heart allright.
But it was LSD that broke Peter's brain and landed him first in prison, then in an asylum.
Poor guy.
Great music though.
