  • Just so you know Kaz, your drumming to Leeb's "Grooveyard" is proudly displayed as my feature video on my page. You are really an amazing talent dude.

  • @121jigawatts Very cool :) Thanks!

  • check out my cover of this song!:D

  • That is some great playing man. The part in the verse section almost somds a little bit like you're playing the drums to "No Excuses" by Alice in Chains.

  • this is awesome, keeping it in the pocket like a champ. more drummers need to be like this.. kickass beat for the verse dude, love the dancy vibe

  • woooow exceleente felicitaciones..... no puedo creer lo que escucho

  • Man, I would be happy to have a drummer like you. You play really well.

  • WHY NO COWBELLS????????

  • You should relax more, you have a great style but you can sound even better. Try watching some Dave Weckl man.

  • A+ for restraint. It looks like you want to unleash the beast so much, but it would not compliment the song lol.

  • Man you're AWESOME!! Great work.. :)

  • You need to use the China more, like a hardcore break down metal song, that would certainly please metal maniac andy mckee lol

  • this is a good song and u made it even sounds better, cool

  • VISH is better

  • Dude, you crushed it. I actually enjoy listening to your drumming behind it just as much as the CD version. Not over-played, on tempo... Bravo, my friend!

  • Great job :)

  • good job :)

  • This is seriously awesome. Excellent play on the high hat!

  • Fantastic!

  • nice.. :)

  • u played just like i imagined it played xD

  • @thecravenator42069 I think it is black and just looks purple.. you know black people do sometimes?? Hey just sayin.

  • I couldn't tell if the drums were too fast or slow with the song... I just know its slightly off someplace. However - I also think it was awesome. Nice!

  • Very poor

  • @pablobatera10 what makes you think it's poor?

  • holly sweet!!! nice work dude

  • That was actually nicely done! *applause*

  • hey dude i must say good job keeping the drums mellow and not overpowering for such a gentle song good work you should do the charlie brown theme song =)

  • Seen (heard) most of you videos...this one is the BEST. Song choice perfect and recording quality is awesome. I close my eyes and I can't imagine the drums are over dubbed. You really lit this one up !! Thanks much for your posts.

  • ugh :(:(:(:( had to break the number of the comments(I hate that number)......BTW i love how the drums sound.....it sounds like it really belongs with the song

  • I must say, when I saw 'drum cover' I thought 'uh-oh thing guy's gonna ruin it' but, you proved me wrong, and this is pretty awesome :D

  • sweet ass job man i love your work

  • Very nicely done. One thing I liked a lot was your sound mix. I hear so much that is poorly mixed.

  • @thecravenator42069 Edge series. I don't think they make them anymore. I don't keep up with gear so who knows.

  • @KazMogi Wow. Simply amazing. I loved your cymbal accents during the main riff of the song. You're a human metronome. Mr. McKee will be calling you in to be part of his rhythm section, I'm sure. Thank you so much for posting this! Favorited and subscribed! :) Cheers!

  • you absolute legend :)

  • @dontai05 dang, thanks man! :)

  • i quite like this, always thought about having a go at adding some drums myself. just uploaded a pretty sweet cover if you guys could check it out :D

  • very nice! but personally i thing that it sounds a bit lame to that song :(

  • good cover, good sound but not techinc man....

  • Pretty good man fit well with it now I just wanna hear an electric version of drifting.

  • Can a make a bass line with your drums?

  • @ralfalvarenga Of course!

  • awsaammmm !

  • Class-A work! Enjoyed every second of it!

  • sans la batterie ca tue... MAIS LA! C'est trop bien joué!!! -argh

  • awesome job! :)

  • Great adaptation, but personally I thought it was a little too aggressive for the song.

  • Good job!

  • @kazmogi i loved it !!! mpravo Greatings from Greece it has a clean sound also thats y i loved it most! :)

  • haha, you pimped out drifting. drifting is one of my fav acoustic pieces, and i still prefer the tune raw without any other instrument providing support, but this was fun, good job. cheers

  • Really good man, i liked it. I liked how do u intepretate the direfent parts of the song.Nice work and nice sound!

  • So much passion haha sounds awesome

  • I wasn't quite sure how this was going to work, but I have to say that was pretty good! Nicely done, sir.

  • Sounds great!

  • Brilliant!!! Your rock buddy!

  • lovin the hi hat work bro, never stop playin

  • @chrism356 ....Great hi hat work indeed... A couple off aulters but otherwise absolutely "spot on"

  • Sweet sounding kit u got ther! premier??

  • @dadygee Thanks! Tama Rockstar

  • wwjkd?...what would jim keltner do?...it's folk music, not hard rock, maybe try something subtle, underneath

  • Oh hey it's Jacob with no hair :D

  • 69 people hippies and can't appreciate a good drummer. Excellent job bro, sounds awesome!

  • Thanks for the drums. Really enjoyed it.

  • great feel! but you gotta use that china cymbal more! and i'd love to hear some gospel chops fills on this, regardless of how inappropriate they'd be on a song like this LOL

great work, again. mic'd well too.

  • 5 stars ... Nice job dude

  • Dude wrong song to be playing generic rock beats too, already has enough percussion in it anyway

  • its awesome to see dummers influenced by guitarists and vise versa. bass players too.

  • Wow. Not gonna lie, I saw the video and thought, "man, drums would probably ruin the song..."

Then I watched, and holy crap, you gave the song a whole new feel, and it's awesome. Extremely good job, and keep it up! =)

  • Very nice stuff!

  • the intro beat you started with made me things it was going to ruin the song.. But good thing I kept listening cause I thought it was pretty good - gave a bit of a different feeling to the song and it worked.. I'm a musician but I don't play drums as good as you man.. solid stuff bro!!

  • im probably gona pass for the biggest idiot on earth, wats that thing every drummers wear on their ears, is it to kinda decrease the sound of the drums?

  • @FamGuitarist Guess it depends on the situation. I'm using them to hear the music that I'm playing along too and to block out the sound of my drums. Some headphones just block out the sound so we don't go deaf ;)

  • @FamGuitarist ..... it is to hear the sound in sync...without sync it would be a mess..

  • @FamGuitarist usually to here the music theyre playin to better

  • @FamGuitarist it's either headphones so he can hear the Song playing or, it's a click track, which is so he can keep the rhythm... pretty sure it's so he can hear the song playing though.

  • @FamGuitarist Usually they're to block out the sound of the drums in the room, so you can hear the track you're playing to :) because the drums in the room can overpower the original track on the headphones.

  • Hey, I thought it was awesome man. Different style to the song, and thats good. Keep drumming, i play guitar and am learning the drums right now as well. Dont listen to anybody else that says you ruined, I think its great

  • i thought this was going to ruin the original song but its quite good.

  • Not the right song but great drumming

  • i have to be honest, at first i thought this was going to be cheesy as hell! I WAS WRONG!!

  • good job :)

    i like ur hihat style

    cheers

  • Not bad, killer set though :D

  • nice drumming but doesn't work with the song.

  • You killed it, the original is way better,

  • You killed it

  • Really good ! It gives another dimention to this song, and if I still prefer the original, you find a way to make it sound pretty cool !

    Congratulations !

  • U r a shit !! The original is a lot better....

  • The drumline adds even more dynamics to this song. Great job dude ;)

  • you ruined this song

  • DUDE POST JUST A DRUM TRACK OF THAT! I WANA PLAY TO THAT! You added such a great layer to the song!

  • Good job playing drums...but the drums kind of ruined this song

  • im sexier than beyonce and shawn dawson put together

  • @lordofd95824 prove it with a picture instead of babbling about how people--who are obviously far more talented than you are--look like fags. :D

  • You don't need another "like" to tell you that was awesome...but I'll give you one anyways :)

  • Nice job! :)

  • LOL he has zylgan symbols, and a SABIAN high hat.

  • This guy looks like a fag

  • @lordofd95824 looks like a fag? lets see a picture of you.

  • Amazing! Wish I could play like that.

  • 63 can not play drums

  • Fucking. Love. It.

  • what kind of set do you use?

  • Great job Mate, loved it :) lol, you clearly have a passion for music, and you really get into it :) good job :)

  • I always pictured this song being played with latin percussion.

  • i love people who know GOOD MUSIC and add their own ( in this case amazing) talent to it.

    keep it up :)

  • Great dynamic, meter response and self-control. Its hard not to go over the top on a piece like this. I'm sure Andy likes it.

  • NOT AS GOOD AS

  • @SlowCh33t4h Vish

  • lol, now it just needs bass, electric guitar, a keyboard and a singer!!!

  • awesome! it actually fits with the song! :D

  • I like it. I like it a lot!

  • woooooo!!!!!!!! fuck!!! is asomber!!!! woo!!!!

  • Nice job m8, very nice and as some1 said it, it breaths a new life into the song! Just watch on the change in the tempo... Some of them are not quite where they should be, if you get me! Not rhythm wise but more as a composition! Great stuff, love it! Respect!

  • That was quite a nice addition to a great song

  • Good JOb !!!! Love It

  • that's right, i went to high school with this guy!! Drumline for life@#!$%$#$(It's Greg by the by Kaz)!!

  • @BIGRE21209 haha thanks Greg!

  • @KazMogi Did you play snare in drumline??

  • @AguigamProductions Yup, for 2 years and quads for the other 2 years.

  • kinda like your spontaneous build up at like 2:15 ish!

its pretty hard to get a steady beat too, its sick bro!

  • DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

  • wow. wonderful job!

  • I just came across this. There are many many things you do very well in this. The 1/2 time section works great, the staggered 16th notes during the verse are very nice as well, the breakdown is very musical as well. Your mix is appropriate as well. My only minor recommendations: do a single crash in the into and outro when Andy hits the slapped harmonic and I wanted to hear the

China at the end of the 1/2 time section going back into the verse. Overall, a very appropriate and musical inte

  • Damn son. You put a little soul into ti. Nice cover

  • Because of personal preference, i don't really like the upbeat drum line. But it's still an awesome work

  • This is great. Really.

Whats so great is that its a perfect example of what drums do to a song. This is a tune we're all familiar with coz Mckee is a god who walks among us. And this drumming brings depth and pace and tempo to a tune which is fairly one paced throughout on the guitar. So it sounds like Andy is playing a slow part when Kaz slows down, but we all know he's not, its the ace drumming which is bringing the tempo changes. Top work. Masterclass

  • simply and great !

  • Nice!!!

  • wow man that was sweet. Just when i thought that song couldnt get any better...

  • You are a great drummer, but some songs need to be the guitar on its own.

  • WOW great!!!

  • Absolutely perfect!

  • Thats actually really sick man good job on that

  • sounded really good man.

  • What I like about this more than anything is you've managed to fit a groove with your drumming to this fantastic piece and all you had for percussion was the finger taps and guitar slaps. Indeed what i would call inspirational :)

  • He does his own percussion... sooooo.... hahahahahahahahahahahah nice though

  • too nice...

  • that was really nice you and andy need to get 2gether

  • goooooooood!

  • Absolutely Brilliant!

  • Shouldn't put drums to an already awesome song. It was made without drums for a reason.

  • とても素晴らしい\(^o^)/!

    完璧にフィットしてますね!d(^_^o)

  • @aki4227 ありがとうございます! どこから来たのですか?

  • that kit sounds bad tunned perfectly

  • I love the vibe you put on this song. It reminds me of a technique Carter Beauford from The Dave Matthews Band uses. I think you should try yourself to some of his stuff and would like to see more videos! XD good stuff!

  • @JDOW90 I love Carter's playing which is probably where I got some of the linear/broken hi-hat stuff.

  • @JDOW90 exactly what I was thinking, it's the high hat work.

  • How can 55 people not like this?

  • I saw the title and was extremely doubtful But by the end, I thought, "man, I bet even Andy himself would enjoy this."

  • very nice! you're a true musician doing this kind of stuff!

  • you are the best drummer ever. the way you play such a chill song and are still so pumped up for it. thats awesome
