The police held restraint until they felt they needed to act and when that time came they acted decisively to maintain safety for all involved. They selected a person of interest then quickly got that person under control. Look at the other news clips of the police car on fire and the stores and businesses being broken into by rioters. It is a small group of radicals that infiltrate an otherwise peaceful demonstration that ruin it and force these kind of actions by the police.

These people were not the ones that did the damge. In fact the protesters took pictures and helped the police in identifing the Black Block. If you look at other videos you will see this. I watched as the police let them smash things, the cops- usually everywhere were no where to be found. It made absolutey no sense. the area this was filmed in was a desgnated protest area agreed to in advance. The police had no right to do this. Well know journalist were treated like criminalsas well. The justice model was EVERYONE was considered Guilty and suspect. That was the general feeling on the streets.With all that money spent on security they still could not control the Black Block? i live and grew up in this city and did not protest. The g20 was badly planned and shut down businesses ,peoples lives and turned the city into a giant circus. It turned the streets of TO into hell for everyone. The police and government acted very irresponsibly.They are not welcome here again. I saw the havoc first hand, there was no regard for human dignity at all. I was not frightened by the protesters at all. The police were everywhere and stopped and questioned people for no reason.

Most of the rioters were teenagers. Out to cause trouble and break shit. Did you see any middle aged fathers and mothers rioting? Of course not. Because they contribute to society, and don't shit where they live. You can call the police pigs all you want, but they're pretty much the only reason someone doesn't break into your house on a daily basis... so, be a little grateful. A few people being detained and injured is by far more acceptable than a full on riot with people dying.

This is how its done. I worked staff for a riot control course not that long ago, and they're doing things pretty text book. This isn't them attacking them, this is them doing their drills properly. Of course this video wouldn't include the parts of them smashing windows or burning cop cars, that would just make them look bad.

The police held restraint until they felt they needed to act and when that time came they acted decisively to maintain safety for all involved. They selected a person of interest then quickly got that person under control. Look at the other news clips of the police car on fire and the stores and businesses being broken into by rioters. It is a small group of radicals that infiltrate an otherwise peaceful demonstration that ruin it and force these kind of actions by the police.

G20 protestors = people who have no jobs and deem themselves useless to society and therefore by protesting they hope to make themselves seem cool and powerful when really it's all just to feed their already empty egos because they know they're a bunch of losers.
People don't realize that this kind of police violence was necessary. If the police didn't show extreme force like this, rioters would have taken them for granted and there would have been even more chaos and destruction.
