This movie was one of the biggest disasters is the history of film. The sets looks like they belonged in Xena: Warrior Princess (as did all the plastic "armor"), the dialogue was horrific, and the acting was god awful. Even the props were bad. The magic wand/septur (sp?) thingy they are searching for the whole movie looks like something you could find at your local halloween store. D&D fans waited 25 years for a movie and this is what they got....just terrible.....

Compared to Star Wars episode 1 (111$million) coming out in 1999 and LOTR (95$million) in 2001, it's excuses are terrible acting, directing, writing, script, camerawork. Even if it came out 20 years ago it could not get the same awe Star Wars episode 4,5,6 gave 30 years ago because D&D the movie sucks.

Sorry if I find the guy's "comedy" intensely annoying. He is a very talented actor, and like Robin Williams and Jim Carrey the only genuinely worthwhile stuff he's ever done has been straight acting dramatic roles, which he's damn good at.
